Sarah Michelle Gellar Is Upset That Freddie Prinze Found A Job
The National Enquirer is reporting that Sarah Michelle Gellar is really upset at her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., because he got a job on a new series. Apparently they had some kind of deal where she would work and he would stay home raising the baby. Sarah only wants one parent to work and she probably never thought Freddie would get another job. Turns out she was wrong. It is not like Ringer is some huge knockout success. If it were on any other network but the CW it would have been canceled already so she should be happy the couple has another job lined up. Instead, Freddie says that Sarah is acting like a bigger baby than their daughter.
I'm surprised he got another acting gig too.
ReplyDeleteNot as surprised as I am that they're still together though.
If this is true, I can kinda see why she's upset. She stayed with the baby while he had his run on 24, so it is kind of her turn.
ReplyDeleteIt's not like she can't bring the chile to work and keep her in her trailer with the nanny, she's an actress not a neurosurgeon
ReplyDeleteThat poor man! It's a wonder she ever lets him out of the house. The baby will be FINE! I thought she had some amazing on-site day care for all the babies. *eye roll*
ReplyDeleteReal reason? Probably some hot ladies in the new cast and his leash may finally snap.
Isn't Ringer supposed to be canceled? Seems like that should work itself out.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, MontanaMariott.
ReplyDeleteIf that was what they agreed to, then he should honor it.
I never watched the show. But given the way that show business works she should be grateful that they are both employed. The could both be unemployed as an alternative. Do they have THAT much money?
ReplyDeleteNot sure why she couldn't bring her daughter to work with her. I'm sure they would make an accommodation like that for such a huge star. *eye roll* Heck, they do it for lesser stars.
I'm not really feeling much sympathy for rich people fighting about child care. I'm sure they can work something out.
ReplyDeleteAgree with MontanaMarriott. Also with Cheryl. For that matter, they could shuffle the kid and the nanny to both sets - assuming Ringer is renewed.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it's also 100% true. It's a known fact all celebrities contact the National Enquirer whenever something happens in their lives and they develop feelings about it.
ReplyDeleteAgree w/@dia - she's probably worried about chicks in his cast. Can't wait to see who is in the series with him. Too lazy right now to look it up.
ReplyDeleteAnd agree that they can afford help. It's not like she's busting her ass at Walmart and he took an extra shift at the plant without telling her. Jesus, Sarah.
I agree with SusanB, who agrees with MontanaMarriott and Cheryl. I also love anita_mark's post.
ReplyDeleteWhat nolachickee said.
ReplyDeleteLook at his dead eyes! He's ready to jump ship.
ReplyDeleteI am an advid Buffy fan and loved her on the show. But I just never understand this relationship. It always seemed off. I think she would be a hard person to live with.
Do you really Know Sarah ? I do personally and to form judgements on her and Freddie and daughter Charlotte is wrong in fact they have both just finished building Charlotte a dolls house joint effort how would you like us to judge your life,@SOceanOfficial
DeleteIt's probably all bullshit. He strikes me as totally whipped.
ReplyDeleteI love SMG but agree with dia papaya, she does seem like she would be a bit high maintenance. And lol @ anita_mark
ReplyDeleteI agree with all y'all who agree w/ each other.
ReplyDeleteAlso - "It's not like she's busting her ass at Walmart and he took an extra shift at the plant without telling her." LOL!!
Well, if he turned this job down, who knows when another one might be offered--if ever? He probably thought, "Strike while the iron is hot," and went for it. I'll bet he made the agreement when he had no prospects.
ReplyDeleteI call bullshit, National Enquirer. What kind of C/D list actor gets a job without auditioning for it? None. Especially not corny ones who are only known for Scooby Doo & cheesy 90s teen films.
ReplyDeleteI love ringer. It would suck if it got canceled :-(

ReplyDeleteWhether I think she's hard to live with or not isn't important but it sounds like they made a decision for how they would raise their child and he's backing out of it. Decisions about your children are the most important ones you'll ever make. Kudos to her for putting her child first.

ReplyDeleteI still a hate a majority of the characters, but all the silly twists and turns of Ringer eventually wore me down. I really enjoy it now.
ReplyDeletePlus, SMG on TV = Must-See for me.
@chopchop -- I thought his sitcom was pretty funny -- he's got a season's worth of film right there for potential employers to look at, in addition to his feature work
ReplyDeleteNational Enquirer, so BIG grain of salt on this one.
ReplyDeleteI get the impression that RInger isn't doing so well. So yeah, he should strike while the iron is hot. She might not have a job much longer. Then again, maybe they are doing fine on her Buffy money.
ReplyDeleteDay-um, I haven't heard the name "Freddie Prinze Jr" in a long time. Now I'm having a massive late '90s/early 2000s flashback. God that was a horrible time period for pop culture.
ReplyDeleteGuys, this is BS. Freddie has been working steadily as a director/producer for WWE stuff. He left for a bit to be on 24, IIRC, but then went back to WWE when the show ended.
ReplyDeleteWhy would SMG suddenly have a problem with him working when she never has before?
Wasn't there some quotes a few months back where SMG said she was sad that Freddie didn't seem to have luck getting acting gigs?
ReplyDeleteThis article made me think of the time he was on Friends as Rachel's "Manny" and Ross thought he was too sensitive so he wanted to fire him. lol
ReplyDeleteKrissie, you'll probably never read this, but right on! I really abhorred pop culture from 1998 up until around 2002. Bad rap metal, TRL Live, Pro Wrestling, just terrible stuff.
