Paul Iacono Comes Out
In an interview with Michael Musto, Paul Iacono, the star of the now canceled Hard Times Of RJ Berger came out. He had not really planned on coming out, but Michael asked him some questions about whether Paul was openly gay and the next thing you know Paul is coming out. Good for him. I always say that the more people who come out, the more tolerant society will be. Paul did say that he considers himself more bisexual than gay because he is attracted to women but is just more attracted to guys. Uh oh. Sounds like Cynthia Nixon all over again so Paul will probably get blasted.
I don't think he will get "blasted" for that. Cynthia Nixon did because she said being gay is a choice, not because she's bi.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who this guy is, but good for him.
Beat me to it, seaward.
ReplyDelete"Sometimes men love women, and sometimes men love men. And then there are bisexuals but some say they're justkiddingthemseeeeeelves"
ReplyDelete- Phoebe Buffay
And that's about how deep I'll be going with my comments today, folks.
ReplyDeletecan't people just be free to be a 3 on the kinsey scale?
ReplyDeletegood for him:)
ReplyDeleteIt sounded to me that Cynthia Nixon said that she chose to be gay. I never got the impression she was making a blanket statement.
ReplyDeleteI really don't know why Cynthia got blasted for her statement. She said that SHE personally chose it, not that others do.
ReplyDeleteSo is it now thought that people can't be bi?
Maja just has a song in her heart today!
ReplyDeleteThe Kinsey scale has no scientific basis, ummidk. He was an amateur anthropologist, not an actual researcher. His methods were crap.
ReplyDeleteIf I had any ideas who this guy was, I still wouldn't care. His business, not mine.
I have no idea who Paul Iacono is - but why are his preferences the business of anyone else???
ReplyDeleteI just got an oil change and didn't ask the tech what his sexual preferences are. OH NO! The oil was changed properly, quickly and at a reasonable price, so I assumed everything was A-OK. Should I go back and find out??? And if I do find out - what then? What do I do with the information???
Again you guys beat me to it (I went shopping) - Nixon said it was *HER* choice, not that it was *A* choice.
ReplyDeleteI still don't get why we need that classification. I've been with men and women and honestly, it comes down to what feels right. Why do we as a society have to obsess about orientation. As an adult who vowed as a kid to try everything once I have no regrets. I hate the Cynthia Nixon bashing.
ReplyDelete@Robert - But don't I always? *L*
ReplyDelete@Maja.....Bestest. Comment. EVAH!
ReplyDeleteI will lol about that for hours. ty :)
I have probably said this before but before my Nephew was born I was so bigoted against any alternative lifestyle but especially Gay, I cringe now thinking about it. Then when he was born we knew he was gay from the time he was almost, well we knew almost instantly lol, no but VERY young. I loved him from the moment he was born and that has never changed since. I was the first one in the family he told he was gay (even before his parents). I agree with Enty, the more it happens the more natural it will become.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of people are still perplexed by bisexuality. I'm bi and have had to deal with offensive stereotypes and assumptions by both straight and gay people. I'm not greedy, or confused, or just "stopping by (or is it bi) on my way to gay" lol I understand what Cynthia was trying to say. I think she maybe could've phrased it better though. For me, I choose to love the person... not the gender.
ReplyDelete@Millie, I have a friend who is the same. She has been in relationships with men and one long one with a woman. I don't think of her as bisexual, rather as someone who falls for a person, and that is how she describes herself.
ReplyDeleteOh Maja, you're the best.
ReplyDelete@Kelly
ReplyDeleteHow awesome that you were able to overcome your bigotry(for lack of better word). Love really does beat all!
UUUMMM wasn't he daint Paris Hilton for a minute??!? Nicky Hiltons boyfriend was the executive producer of that show
ReplyDelete**dating
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but *who*?
ReplyDeleteIs he on iCarly or something?
hard times of rj berger - mtv rip off of hung about a kid in high school with a giant dick...
ReplyDeletehard times of rj berger - mtv rip off of hung about a kid in high school with a giant dick...
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't call it a rip off of Hung. The kid wasn't a male escort and the MTV show is older.
ReplyDeleteI've known a few bisexual people who stick with it through determination and a refusal to limit themselves. Otherwise, people kind of end up leaning one way. My favorite old joke from Torch Song Trilogy on the subject is: Wouldn't it be refreshing to see a bisexual guy who lives openly with his boyfriend but who sneaks out for pussy once in a while?
