National Enquirer Blind Item

WHICH former ’90’s sitcom star-turned-Oscar winner has cut off her mom and refuses to let her see her granddaughter? The actress is crazy about her dad and recently researched his family roots, but didn’t even bother looking into her mom’s ancestry!

  1. All I can think of is Michelle Williams, but I'm sure Dawson's Creek would be more of a drama. I never really watched.

  3. My first thought was Tori Spelling, 'til I considered the Oscar part.

  4. Helen Hunt was on this season's "Who do you think you are" genealogy show, and researched her dad's side.

Helen Hunt was on "Mad About You" in the 90s before going into movies and getting that Oscar.

  5. Michelle Williams has not actually won an Oscar yet has she?

  6. Sitcom = situational comedy

Neither Dawson's Creek nor 90210 is a sitcom.

  7. Yeah, just the acting and plots were laughable.

  10. Marisa Tomei was on A Different World - but that was in the late 80's.

  12. My first thought was Helen Hubt and I am sticking to it.

  13. I have to agree on the Helen Hunt guess. And I have no issues cutting parents off if they are toxic.

  14. The only person is Helen Hunt. The only other sitcom actress is Marisa Tomei, and she's not married with children.

  15. Helen Hunt

Check out Who Do You Think You Are from a few weeks ago.

However, I would read too much into that last bit. The producers do research first to see who has interesting backgrounds. Her mom's background may not have been so interesting.

  16. I LOVE Who Do You Think You Are! Helen's research/background was REALLY interesting. Her gg-grandmother was a huge women's rights crusader.
