My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding Is Finally Coming

Next weekend is the premiere of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding - America. Unlike the version we see every week on TLC, this version appears to be way more Jerry Springer and a lot less 12 year old teen age hooker. Did you see the 15 year old getting married to the 20 year old guy going to jail last night? That is quality television.

  1. Those tricks make quite the brain trust.

This show needs subtitles. The only word I could make out between them was bitch.

  2. That is so exciting. I've only seen one episode of the UK version, but it was A+ amazing quality reality tv.

  3. I'm ashamed to say that I watched all of that video.

I had my money on the fat girl, but then the skinny one managed to get in several good whacks. I guess going to the gym does have its benefits.

that said, who does those things? where do they find these people? ugh.

  4. These gypsies are just too mind blowing to comprehend. They dress like a combination of hooker, Halloween, toddlers & tiaras, all wrapped up in a Mummer outfit. And if you don't know what a Mummer is, look up a photo. you'll agree with me.

And then they get married and expect to live a life of servitude, keeping an immaculate house and having many babies. Wild.

  5. I watch this show. I am amazed at the amount of money spent on the weddings and the lack of clothes. Yesterday when I was getting my hair done, we talked about this. My question was "where did these little girls learn to dance like they were on the main stage at the Dollhouse in Fort Lauderdale?!" I was wondering when they were coming to shoot here. I remember a allooonngggg time ago either 20/20 or some other show doing a piece about them.
I watched the fight last night and I thought for a second it was girls fighting at prom/homecoming.

  6. I honestly didn't know gypsies existed in America until I watched "The Riches" (man that was a good show).
The UK version of this show was interesting, hope the US version is too.

  11. If that girl is the maid of honor, I can't imagine what the rest of the wedding party is like lol Darn it, I must watch this! I have been sucked in again! lol

  12. There's a huge Roma (gypsy) community here in Toronto. As a matter of fact, one family was just convicted of human trafficking. Unbelievable.

  13. Not all gypsies are bad. One of the girls in that video is my 4th cousin. haha. I was invited to that wedding, and the Big Fat Gypsy Halloween Party (oops, did I say that? ;) ) that they'll be airing later on in the year.

  14. I normally don't do this crap - it's really bad for the soul, but to be honest, I really enjoyed watching this. It was really weird seeing the smaller, more fashionable gal kick the really aggressive gal's butt. You throw someone into a wall, you totally deserve what comes after that.

  15. I met some gypsies when I was a teen working at McDonalds. There were about 2 dozen of them that rented a house down the street. Damn, if they weren't the most cagey MoFo's I've ever dealt with. We really had to watch them, because they were always coming up to the counter telling us they didn't get their fries, or they'd step it up and totally f*ck us with the short changing trick. That being said, I know all Gypsies aren't like this. But let's be honest, most are, though! People do what they have to do to survive this planet. Not excusing it - just acknowledging what is.

  16. I live in a small town and know nearly everyone. One time, I had a garage sale and this carload of gypsies pulled up, unloaded a bunch of people I had never seen before, and swarmed my sale!!!! They were pawing everything! What a sight! Anyway, that video made me depressed to think that people live and act that way.

I will 100% watch this. I already texted a friend who has my same passion for TLC garbage.

But man, when the smaller girl hit the ground, I cringed. That's some major road rash that's gonna happen. But then, without care of what (or who) she was flashing, she took that bigger girl out! Damn, that's television!

But like someone above said, who does this? I've been in weddings where tensions were high and there were a couple of mini-arguments but my God, never a fist fight.
