LeAnn Rimes Buys Herself Anniversary Ring
For her wedding anniversary, LeAnn Rimes wanted something special. Really special. Something that would make Brandi Glanville jealous. Something she hoped the now rolling Bravo cameras would catch. Knowing that Eddie is really only good for anything he is told to do, LeAnn gave him her credit card and the description of exactly what she wanted for her anniversary and Eddie managed to bring it home with only fourteen calls to make sure he got the right one. "Are you sure you want the big green one?"
I'm sure someone finds that pretty, but I don't. To each their own I guess.
ReplyDeleteThat's awful...all that money and no taste..
ReplyDeleteBigger is not always better.
ReplyDeleteMan, that is one UGLY ring!
ReplyDeleteIf the ring was just the green stone, it would be funky and cool. The diamonds around it look so out of place and tacky. Ew.
ReplyDeleteExactly, I thought it looked kinda cool full saw the diamonds.
Delete*TIL
DeleteMaybe it would look better on someone with meatier fingers? I still find it ugly though...
ReplyDeleteI would have rather she donated the money to a good cause than see that hideous thing on her skeletal hand but to each their own.
ReplyDeleteIs that a mood ring?
ReplyDeleteSuper ugly.
ReplyDeleteHey Syko, I’d be a foul mood if hubby plonked that in my hand.
ReplyDeletewhat is that? it looks like something you'd find at a local craft show, which would be ok, but the diamonds around it are all wrong. Weird...
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what it is as well...it's a pretty stone
ReplyDeletePossibly the stone is Seraphinite?
ReplyDeleteAs a nurse, it looks like a big purulent lesion on her hand.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Whenever I see the word purulent, I think pus-sy in my head. The word you are NOT supposed to use in healthcare!
DeleteAnother ugly ring. I don't think Brandi is too jealous here. Saw pics somewhere of Brandi leaving Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant in shorts and she wore them well.
ReplyDeleteI sort of like it's simplicity although it's nothing to be jealous about. I think Brandie got over that a long time ago is going to have the last laugh.
ReplyDeleteI have a Tumblr where I post my dreams (which are crazy, almost every night I have strange, vivid dreams) and I'm copying and pasting this from a dream I had last week:
ReplyDelete"He had given me a large engagement ring, which I wore on my right ring finger. Everyone oohed and aahed over the ring, but when I looked at it all I saw was a dingy agate."
(In my dream, Betty's husband Henry from Mad Men had proposed to me while Betty & kids were still living in the house. It was weird.)
Did a double take when I saw this photo!
I need to find your Tumblr. I have loads of crazy dreams too. Some even come true or reveal the truth of the situation. Does this happen for you?
DeleteI have journals full of dreams by my bed. I never go back to look at them though...
Is this a joke? Misshapen green grey stone with diamond chips? Big flaw bottom right. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteThat ring is absolutely hideous. Seriously!!!! Can she even bend her finger?
ReplyDeleteYuck! It looks like a Neanderthal's guitar pick.
ReplyDeleteTo each his own w/ the ring, but I think it's kind of tacky to show this off on Twitter.
ReplyDeleteIt could be Phrenite, or Labradorite, which are lovely stones, but not usually seen with diamonds. A ring that goes from knuckle to knuckle is very uncomfortable to wear for very long.
ReplyDeleteIt could even be some type of Jade but the striations make me think not, in any event it was a poor choice for her hand.
Blech! Really? That looks like something you'd pull out of a quarter machine. Then toss away, LOL. Simply hideous!
ReplyDeleteAfter you are out of your teens, hands and feet really aren't very attractive and shouldn't be photographed and then posted on FB or Twitter. Engagement ring photos are forgivable, but people really need to stop photographing and posting pictures of their feet on the beach (we know you're on vacation because you've been posting for weeks about it) or of their latest pedicure or manicure.
ReplyDeleteKing of the Hill was set in "Arlen, TX" which was a fictional version of Garland, TX, LeAnn's home town. It's a pretty glamorous place.

ReplyDeleteDoes that mean it has special powers? Like a stone of invisibility so we don't have to see her anymore?
DeleteOk, I am SO glad I'm not alone in finding that ring unattractive. No wonder I hang out on this site, we're all awesome ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone its the diamonds around it that kill it. She gave Eddie a watch, I wouldn't be surprised if she put GPS system in it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the ugly man-ring Donna gave Eric on That '70s Show.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I think it looks like something they try to hawk very late at night on those home shopping channels.
I think it looks like a giant slug. Where's the salt!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a flea market find or a gemstone show piece.
ReplyDeleteNot my style and it probably looks good on someone out there who knows how to wear it and carry it off.
That is simply hideous!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a large rough diamond. Diamonds in the rough are a big "thing" these days. I call it "flawed frozen spit jewelers couldn't sell so gave it a cute name, jacked up the price, and marketed it towards the nouveau riche." See also: champagne/chocolate/cognac diamonds. Ten years ago no one wanted heavily flawed, off-colored diamonds but now they're all the rage. And waaaaaay too expensive for what they are.
ReplyDeleteYes, I know too much about diamonds. I love them. *shame*
Wonder Twins, ACTIVATE!
ReplyDeleteLooks like he made it himself out of shit he found laying around..
ReplyDeleteIt's not the diamonds that's killing the ring...it's the person who's wearing it.
ReplyDeleteI really like nontraditional stones, and if this didn't have the diamonds around it I'd think it was pretty cool. But it certainly doesn't LOOK like an expensive ring (even though I'm sure she dropped a ton of money on it), and something about Tweeting a close-up photo of a non-engagement ring just screams "immature!" to me. Whatevs. To each his/her own, I guess.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this is a way for her to measure whether or not her fingers are getting too fat.
ReplyDeleteI might be fooled, cause you can't see the telltale flash, but it looks like labradorite to me. A gorgeous stone, but rather organic, and not usually paired with diamonds. This would be lovely had they just let the stone speak with nice thick silver accents.
ReplyDeleteIts does look like a bug on her finger at first glance! I dont mind it but im from jersey and love big rings! Lol
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me if an unsightly mole a friend of mine had removed from her neck when she was in elementary school.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a bedazzled pickle.
ReplyDeleteI rarely use this word, but that is gaudy!
ReplyDelete@Jewels - you have a great eye -labradorite it is !We thought it was Seraphinite. It would a nice napkin ring ?
ReplyDeleteThe stone looks like labradorite, which is a beautiful stone but kinda clashed with diamonds.
ReplyDeleteI really don't feel like working today, so I started Googling, and I think this is a ring by Irene Neuwirth and it retails for about $5,800. I like a lot of her stuff, actually. You can see some of it here:

What is it? It looks see through, so jade is out. Too ugly for me!
ReplyDeleteDammit I tried to get that ring from the supermarket gumball machine. I wasted so many quarters trying for it too. :(
ReplyDeleteThat's labradorite for sure. It is pretty dank looking though - I have some labradorite for my jewelry I make, and I try to pick stones that have a blue flash. That stone looks like ossified swamp water. Yick.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this ring is ugly! And way too big.

ReplyDeleteThat ring is every bit as ghastly and tacky as the person wearing it.
ReplyDeleteEm and dia, your dram talk is fascinating. I have crazy, hyper realistic dreams too. Now I am inspired to start taking notes!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know all us jewelry people agree on the stone.
ReplyDeleteUgh, Texshan, I think you're right about it being from Neuwirth, but I went to her site, and her jewelry is tacky as hell! Our CDaNers produce much more beautiful stuff!
ReplyDeleteMy Thoughts ..
ReplyDelete1. LeAnn .. you need to be more explicit about the green shiny stone you want. You probably thought you were gonna get a nice oval cut emerald surrounded by a couple'a diamonds, right?? I mean .. surely you didn't actually ASK for this .. right??!!??
2. Can you imagine the all out, rolling on the floor, "oh-my-god-I-can't-breathe" laughs that echoed through the store about 35 seconds after Eddie left with this thing in it's little box?? I am amazed we never saw a headline in the Enquirer "LeAnn and Eddie's Anniversary Killed My Spouse! Jewelers Anguished Wife Struggles with Tragic Laughing Death After Purchase"
3. If I got that for my First Wedding Anniversary .. note gentle readers, Wil got NOTHING for her 1st Anniversary nor any of the 14 that followed .. I would not be married to that person on the second anniversary. Too bad I wasn't that smart 15 years ago ..
4. I guess mazel tov. If this thing rocks LeAnn's world .. I guess that is all that is important .. but really .. girl .. get some better taste!
funny I've seen photo's posted 3-4 months ago that show Brandi wearing the near exact same ring: note BEFORE!!! Leann is a stalker
