Jimmy Kimmel At White House Correspondents Dinner

Even if you don't have time to watch the entire 20 minutes, you have to watch the first five minutes. The unnecessary censorship bit is hilarious.

  1. I thought he did a great job. President Obama, too. I really liked when Kimmel brought up the medical marijuana issue.

  2. deadline is claiming Obama and Jimmy bombed. But I thought it was pretty funny. Jimmy isn't a mean comic he isn't going to rip people new assholes the way Colbet or Stewart would. He held his own.

  3. I only got to see the first part, with Obama, and I thought it was hilarious.

  4. They were both funny and a little bit uneven. Both had a few really good zingers and one or two bombs, written by Jake Tapper (as Kimmel kept saying). That seems about average to me. :)

  6. I think Jimmy Killed. The best one I've seen in a while. Glad he brought up the weed issue too. My buddy worked on the show for a while and said Jimmy's a big smoker.

  10. Pretty solid set, actually. Seth Myers was maybe a little better last year, but I'd like to see Jimmy do it again, sure.

Favorite joke was the one about the Keith Olbermann resume. Sorry, I watch a lot of MSNBC, so it's kinda funny to me.

  11. Don't like Mr Kimmel so I won't bother watching this but dare I say Barry O brought it home in his speech! Gave me life!

  12. Kimmel is starting to look like Quagmire from Family Guy. Giggity giggity.

  13. I thought it was very entertaining, the jokes smart. Kimmel was nervous, but who wouldn't be the first time out?

    I hope he returns.

  14. I just watched the whole thing and have to say...I thought it was great! I seriously laughed throughout most of it. I too watch a lot of MSNBC (mostly Morning Joe) so every joke resonated with me except the eating dog jokes that he and Obama referenced. I missed that one. I LOVE that he asked for a show of hands for who hasn't smoked pot. That took some balls given the audience. I'm also glad he took some digs as at the Kardashians (being the biggest threat to America). All and all, I think he was great!

  15. I thought he did a great job! He did his thing, and it was funny. What I don't get is the people in the audience who sit there with sour faces...are they not aware of who will be speaking beforehand? If you don't want to be made fun of, don't go!

  16. Not an Obama fan, so I can't say he was funny.

  17. I thought it was really funny. Shows you don't have to go blue to get laughs.

My favorite part was the camera panning to Michelle and showing her laughing her ass off at the joke about Barack's ears. (Something along the lines of: "You're not going to laugh at any of the Secret Service jokes, Mr. President, so cover your ears, if that's even physically possible.")

  18. Kimmel did a great job.
^I cringed at the ear joke though. Aww!

Lindsay & Kim got off EASY, IMO.

I am not a fan AT ALL of Newt Gingrinch, but I really wish comedians would lay off the fat jokes. I mean...really? Can they not think of anything else? I sure can!
