Jessica Simpson Is Still Pregnant

In case you forgot, Jessica Simpson would like to remind you that she is till pregnant. Yesterday she Tweeted that reports of her giving birth were false. I never saw any reports of her giving birth so maybe she would like some fake reports out there and people speculating about her and giving her some attention. But, because no one did, she Tweeted that she is still pregnant and to stop congratulating her. For now. I think I read her due date is April 30th, so not too much longer. I wonder if Eric will ever get up with the baby. It is not like he can say that he has to get up for work in the morning.

  1. I pray she doesn't marry that free loader...
This is the longest pregnancy ever...

  2. If she's due at the end of April, and she tweeted her "mummy" photo on Halloween, that means that she was only 3 months pregnant when she took that photo! She was pretty big then (I just googled those photos, I looked like that at about 5-6 months - that's when I had to buy maternity pants). I keep saying this, but maybe it's twins...?

I can't imagine how uncomfortable she is right now.

  3. I will be mildly disappointed if she doesn't give birth to an 18 year old.

  4. Why does every pregnant shot include the mother placing her hands above and/or below the bulge?

Doesn't People or whichever rag have a really misleading cover that makes it sound like she already gave birth? That'd probably be why, Jessica. I hope she has the baby and goes away and I never have to see her again.

  6. Cook, it's really comfortable to do that once your stomach is so giant. I used to hate it when I saw women doing it, but once I got pregnant I understood it.

Maybe she will just have a giant baby. I started showing at 2 months, and gained almost 60 damn pounds. Had an 11 pounder, though.

  7. ^^ its not people magazine, but i did see another magazine at the store last week that said things like "Jessica: Mom At LAST!!!...All The Details!...Her First Mom Moments!" etc.

  8. The magazine wanted to be first. It's like the magazines that say Brad & Angie are engaged AT LAST!... they run them every three months hoping the cover might coincide with an actual engagement.

Weird that JS's pregnancy has now come to that.

  9. @Cook- It could also be to 'define the bump'. Maternity clothes sort of looks like tents unless you show where the bump begins or ends, so holding it like that makes the look somewhat better, at least.

Oh, and there were actually false reports out there. TMZ, for one, wrote that they thought she had given birth.

  12. A couple of my friends have recently had babies and I could swear that this pregnancy seemed to be announced waaaaaay before they ever were pregnant. Maybe it's just cause Jessica has been everywhere in the press the last 40 weeks and the tabloids always kept saying she was pregnant even when she wasnt yet, that make this seem so damn long

That poor girl! The last couple of months can be so uncomfortable, and it seems like she's been at that stage for about a year now. I will be really interested in hearing the birth weight of the child. She seems awfully happy in spite of being the size of a small mountain, and if she's happy, then I'm happy for her. But I also hope she kicks the baby daddy to the curb once this is over.

  16. Thanks for the explanaition about the hands on belly pose. I too wondered. How come some people seem to be pregnant forever (Katie, Jessica) and others have a 5 month baby (Bey, Kelly Preston). I did notice that Chestica had to give up the heels. She must be ready to explode.

  17. @Cook, Tallulah's explanation of the hands position works for celebs. They don't want to just look fat. If I remember correctly from my own pregnancy, it's a natural place to rest the one hand, and the other frankly is to support the weight that is hanging off your front.

  18. I saw some reports that she had the baby, someone even mentioned it in the comments yesterday, so yes, it was out there before she sent out a denial.

Years ago I had a friend who gained a lot of weight during her pregnancy. In the labor room, her doctor told me he was expecting a ten pound baby at least. She had difficulty and was wheeled away for a C section, but her baby was only about 8 pounds. She had retained an unusual amount of fluid, everywhere, which became obvious when they cut into her. Perhaps JS is just retaining and carrying high. It looks painful and I sympathize.

  19. She must be the size of Violet Beauregarde by now.

  20. Even in the famous Time cover about the 80s baby boom, Jaclyn Smith was doing that thing with her hands: http://www.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,19820222,00.html

I remember she later said she gained 75 pounds during that pregancy. Because she could.

Regarding the hands thing, I imagine it's also nice to touch your belly while pregnant. I've never been pregnant but I imagine touching the stomach where the little baby is cooking is very soothing and comforting. I guess it's a pre-bonding thing. That's my guess.

Also, what do you do with your hands? You can't hold a drink or a smoke so they need to go somewhere.

  22. I have a friend that told everyone at 5 weeks. Those are the pregnancies that take the longest, imho.

I kinda miss the days when women waited til end of first trimester to make sure all is well before making the big announcement to the world.

Jessica is huge and was very early on.

  24. I have never birthed a baby , but I really feel for her. I hope both end up being healthy. I think she will be a good mom.. Hope the baby has a good dad too. Creepy grandfather but cant do much about that!

  25. Hope the baby comes soon. She must be miserable. Don't wish a C-section on anyone, but damn, I think it would be the merciful thing to do. That birth could break her in half!

  26. For the record I think Chestica will be a great mom. Say what you will about her being insecure and the odd hold Papa Joe has over her, she's stoopidly sweet and will smother this child with love and who doesn't want that for all chirrens?

  27. Lulu G, I was thinking the same thing. Though I laughed when I heard her say she just had a lot of amniotic fluid, I all of a sudden remembered my baby brother's wife. She was an itty bitty thing - think Jessica in her Daisy Duke days - and her belly was HUGE!! She had the extra fluid in part, because their son had some serious medical issues. He almost died at birth, but almost 5 years later, he still has a number of health issues, but he is spoiled rotten, has caught up w/the rest of children his age, is considered "normal," and is thriving. When he has to go back into the hospital, you are sometimes jostled, because he looks and acts like such a healthy kid!

I hope this guy turns out to be a great father and husband - KFed has surprised me in how active he is as a dad! Yes, he still has a meal ticket for x amt of years, but he stepped up to the plate as a dad, and I never thought I would say that!!

  28. OMG!!! She's still pregnant? She's been preggers for forever. She should have gone to the Beyonce school of pregnancy and birth. She would only have been preggers for 4 - 5 months, instead of 9 mos.
