Eden Wood Has Her Own Show
I guess Eden Wood has not retired after all. Well, maybe from beauty pageants although if you pay a substantial fee she will show up at the pageant. Anyway, Logo is airing a new series following Eden and her mom and her agent and it starts on Monday. To me this is telling moms that if they dress their daughters to the edge of decency and cause as much drama as possible that they too might get a show for themselves. I'm sure there are some of these pageants moms that do this for fun and for a learning experience for their kids, but I think the vast majority are hoping for what Eden got. I think the show Toddlers & Tiaras kind of brought that to the forefront and you see each season getting more outrageous as it takes more and more to stand out from the other parents who are willing to go lower and lower towards the gutter every season.
I look forward to her appearance on 16 and pregnant in 10 years.
ReplyDeleteHave to say that dress is fierce!
ReplyDeleteToddlers & Tiaras has morphed from goofy to cutthroat, based on the behavior of the kids and the adults. The episode this week was out of control. Of course more and more riff raff will pour into these proceedings if they smell cash and fame.
Just another example of the fact that Rome is burning, people. I pray for us all.

ReplyDeletethat was to strawberrygirl
ReplyDeletethis turns my stomach ...some people should not be allowed to have children.
ReplyDeleteI saw Eden Wood on the View, and she's very talented, how come she's not on Nickelodeon or an actual TV Show? This kind of On-the-Road reality show is so wrong.
ReplyDeleteStrawberry Girl FTW!!!
ReplyDeleteI will say Eden Wood is a great sounding performer's name.
But that dress looks so over the top it looks like something worn on Ru Paul's Drag Race.
I've never seen the show but the get-up looks like something from My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.
ReplyDeleteJust another way for an unattractive woman to live vicariously through her daughter. If this chick spent half as much time worrying about her diet and looks as she spends on making her daughter up, she might fill that void.
ReplyDeleteI watched one episode of T&T to see what the fuss was about and it made me physically ill. Those mothers are certifiable and most of those little girls are either going to rebel or have serious emotional problems at some point. And I worry that it's easier to count the ones who won't be molested by the time they are 18.
ReplyDeleteHaving said that, if Eden Wood's mother would be played by Johnny Depp in a angora sweater I might just watch. I mean, this is a John Waters freak show waiting to happen - without the heart, of course. Too bad Divine isn't around to play the pageant director.
Ouch Sarah! I was trying to remember what her mother looks like and now I think I do. Nothing sadder than an old lady trying to be a beauty queen and using a child like a ventriliquists dummy for their own voice.
ReplyDeleteRock on Strawberry girl..
Pathetic with a capital P. And cheesy, tacky, low rent, soul crushing, low class, gauche, tasteless-well, I think u get the idea.
ReplyDeleteThe mom's dreams are finally coming true.
ReplyDeleteI generally don't give a darn what other people like to watch, but i really wish people wouldn't watch shows like this, or "Dance Moms" and "Toddlers and Tiaras". I think these shows are sick. Adults making fools of themselves on reality TV by choice is totally different than small children (almost always girls, BTW) forced to degrade themselves on television because their parents want fame.
ReplyDeleteRedd Penny nailed it with the John Waters shout-out. Divine forever.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure where to go with this (I don't watch) but if she IS talented, good for her. I do think she's a tad young for all this pressure & her mom is a media whore. Maybe good things will come of this (unlikely) but who knows...
ReplyDeleteWhere can you watch t&t episodes streaming online? Apparently, I need to catch up. Lol
ReplyDeleteI don't know who this girl is because I don't watch Toddlers & Tiaras, but what about those other 2 little girls that were on Ellen? Who are they? THEY should get their own show, they are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteHoney Boo Boo child has tons more charisma than Eden.
ReplyDeleteWhy does this kid have an agent?
ReplyDeleteShe's not even that cute and she's going to be less so the older she gets.
ReplyDeleteAnna Nicole will never die
ReplyDelete@ strawberry girl...LOL...so true.
ReplyDeleteUgh. This sickens me. If JonBenet Ramsey had lived twenty years later (as brief a life as it was)...
