Britney Spears X Factor Rumors Heat Up Again

Out of all the possible celebrity name judges for X Factor that Simon Cowell has leaked to the media for publicity the only one that I would actually want to see is Britney Spears. It is also the reason why I wonder if she will be good at it in the first place. I think it will be Paula Abdul times ten in the what is she going to say factor and how she is going to behave. Britney would make people tune in especially if she said or did crazy things and probably would not care what even was happening on the show. Of course they could have her so heavily medicated that she could be barely there with eyes half open and just mumbling and repeating, "ya'll did real good." Apparently Britney's team is getting really close to signing a deal. Hey, it is more money for them and they don't have to travel all over the world keeping an eye on her and can just shuttle her back and forth and promise her Starbucks if she is good.

  1. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I just really don't think that poor girl can function properly. This is why we never see an interview with her that doesn't include 5-second soundbites & camera cut-aways. Even Jessica Simpson (dumb) and Lindsay (asshole) can manage but I really don't think Britney can.

  2. I love Britney but she's not the brightest bulb...I heard her speak without a script....not good.

  3. I just don't think holding a mentally ill person up to possible ridicule is ever a good idea.

  4. No one watches this show, and they will do anything to try and get people interested.

  5. I really Hope they don't do that to her. If she is as incompetent as her guardians claim the last thing she needs is to be paraded out to look a fool on live TV for the benefit of Simon cowell ala Paula Abdul

  6. That's just plain sad y'all.

  7. @Ariawynn -- actually I think it could be worse than Paula Abdul because it would be a bit sadder (Paula's problems were of her own doing)

  8. Agree with all the above comments, but I did notice that in this one picture she has a more genuine smile than usual. My theory is that she has some kind of illness (think it would be more productive if we started referring to mental illness as just illness - just so those affected would be more welcoming to treatment) and someone who cares for her in the medical field thinks she needs routine or to be busy. I really hate to think it's just for more money.

  9. God help this girl.

She must feel so trapped in her life. Trapped in her "popstar" persona, trapped in her circle of hanger-ons...

It would be unwise and even cruel to put her again under that intense scrutiny, aa a pawn in Cowell's PR games.

Stay away, Britney. Go take care of yourself and leave "showbiz" behind.

  10. That is just so sad and plain wrong.

  11. We have heard the rumors about her for years but can someone finally for once and for all give us what her damage is? Is she Shizophrenic? Bi Polar? Another form of mental illness?

  12. I am not even going to lie, that would be a hot mess worth watching. They would probably spike those oh so conviently placed "coke" cups just to get her going.

  13. I just feel sad anytime there's a post about Britney or even a photo. Girl just does not look well or happy. She has enough money to live lavishly on, so I hope she just walks away. More than any other celeb, I just wish her peace.

  14. @MontanaMarriott - I have wondered the same thing. I have always thought she was the end result of a Toddlers & Tiaras type childhood.

  15. Simon looks like a rubber man who's head has been stretched out in this photo. He does appear to be wearing clothes that are his actual size, however.

I don't think Britney is mentally ill. Back in the day she used to act quite normal. I think that she has addiction issues, and can't fight the urges when she's on her own watch.

  16. Illness can strike at any age. It would be cruel to put her on display for ratings. If she was really up for it, maybe she could be a guest judge for one night.

She should probably retire and enjoy her kids, coffee, and lose the stress of living in the public eye.

  17. I read that Britney's fiance Jason will be getting a producer credit on the show. I don't like the sound of that. It sounds suspect to me since he is also going to be her co-conservator which will also get him more money. I don't know if it's such a good idea for him to be so involved in career.

  18. Schizophrenia commonly strikes around 19 or early 20's. Bipolar - at about early 20's.

Britney's issue is NOT drugs, but mental illness. I recognize that look in her eyes.

  19. I might watch. I don't think I've seen Britney speak other than "Thanks y'all." for her MTV awards??

  20. Jason probably got her to go along with his taking over her conservatorship by telling her he'd relinquish it once they're married. Sure, because that's what an agent does, give up the conservatorship fees and control.

  21. i hate to say about britney, but she has multiple personality syndrome due to all the trauma and abuse she endured all her life. if you research it will begin to make sense. research project monarch britney spears disney for example just google those words you will find info. there is more info out there poor girl is stuck in that system.

  22. That "project monarch" crap and this illuminati stuff that's going around are funny, but kind of scary. I think it's a sign of our culture's sickness that insane conspiracy theories are gaining traction. True multiple personality disorder is extremely rare. Run-of-the mill sexual abuse does not cause it - it takes extreme abuse. My mom has treated hundreds of children who were sexually and physically abused, but not a single case of MPD. If the conspiracy theorists were talking about stars all having borderline personality disorder from childhood abuse, now that I'd buy.

After reading more about Jason's conservatorship, I don't think it's such a bad idea after all. He has no control over her money or business. He just has the right to say "no" if she makes decisions that may be harmful to herself. There's certainly potential for abuse, but I do think she needs to be protected from herself.

I honestly think she'd do fine with this job. I doubt she'd act "crazy;" she's on meds, after all. She'd probably give pretty simple responses, but after all, isn't that what these shows are about? The majority of people watching would be bored with an in-depth critique.

  23. She might surprise everyone and do fine. She has been working in the business since she was young, and had a killer work ethic. I think she actually might have something to offer. She may be uneducated, but this is something she knows about.
