Adam Sandler Has Set The Razzies Record

Last night at the Razzie's, Adam Sandler did something never before accomplished in the long and storied history of the program - he swept all the awards. The move won all ten awards and Adam Sandler won for worst actor and worst actress for his performance in Jack & Jill. Al Pacino becomes one of the few people to have a Razzie and an Academy Award as he won for worst supporting actor. David Spade won for worst supporting actress after appearing as basically a blond haired Snooki in the movie. Despite having their very own night out of the Academy Award buzz, the organizers are probably going to do the right thing and move the show back to the night before the Academy Awards for next years show. I think that is a way better idea.

  1. Not a fan of Adam, never watch his movies, but ya gotta give the guy credit. He said when he made it big, he was gonna make movies HE liked, and use all his friends as actors. Well, he does, and they make millions. And his friends cannot say enough nice things about him- Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Kevin James- the rave about what a great guy he is. So yeah, bring on the Razzies, because he's already won the mench award!!

    1. Read that article... sounds like a cop-out.

You know the NY Post is a reliable source. Sounds like the hwood higher ups want entry to lose credibility. I don't believe anything the NY post prints.

  3. Sandra Bullock won the Razzie for "All About Steve" the same year she won her Oscar. And she had the balls to show up and accept. Love when someone is willing to be in on the joke.

  4. I agree, auntliddy. And although it makes my family groan, I still want to see Jack and Jill. I can't help it.

  5. I think Sandra Bullock won a razzie and oscar in the same year too.

  6. Adam Sandler should be banished to a deserted island for unleashing Kevin James on the movie-going public.

  7. I don't see the need to keep posting the NY post article. I mean, I kind of assume that you can't take most sites at face value, this being one of them. Are people really all that disappointed?

  9. Gtzisshe, for some reason some people that comment on this site take everything on here personally.

  10. I pretty much figured Enty wasn't an entertainment lawyer, and that's ok. I still enjoy the site much more than the others I go to.

  11. I agree this site is still one of my favorites. I think most of the fun is not in the posts but in the comments, and that includes conspiracies, scandals, and questions about the blogger himself. We can get celebrity commentary plenty of other places on the web, but something about this blog is different BECAUSE of the mystery that surrounds it.

  12. I don't care if Enty is a bored housewife in Hobokon. It's a great site.

  13. Im more of a ”backseat reader” and I would rather read than write. What actually prompted me to throw in my pennies today is the constant reposting of that article in nearly every thread. Almost as if they (whoever they may be) would like people to be really upset. I think this site is pretty cool and regardless of the ”truth”, its always fun to fantasize and be chismosos (gossipers) once in a while.

  14. LOL @ New York Post - that's funny. Sounds like a bitter reporter that can't identify Enty so she's going to discredit him. Sorry, but with her "reporting" and grammar skills, I don't even believe she's a reporter. Apparently Enty has ruffled feathers just because of popularity, gee, doesn't that sound somewhat familiar?

And iheartjacksparrow - you are not going to turn the masses against the very reason we are here by posting a link to some unheard of "journalist" at a less-than-stellar news website that seems to have an axe to grind. If you don't like it here, don't come. Easy.

  15. That NY Post article has a lot of errors in it, about what Entu has said versus what postees have said. It's not very good reporting.

I never thought Enty was an entertainment lawyer, he'd be in too much trouble. He may know some someones, somewhere though, entertainment lawyers or not.

Like the blinds, like the blog.

  16. Enty you'd best be sending me back the bacon i sent you if you're not a 400 lb lawyer living in mom's basement. I mean man i thought you really needed all the meat to survive and now i find this out.....devastated !!

  18. I guess the article used the fact that TA could not to contacted, which is consistent with the issue with the missing signed books that was never resolved; so I’m guessing that Enty does not have a direct relationship with TA and was relying on a source that was proved to be false. Also the tone with the blinds has changed since Himmmm disappeared, so that part of the site I may just skip over, since the rest is entertaining.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Did anyone understand the part about who Enty believe Himmmmm was? I didn't think the article was very clear.

  20. You mean Enty is not a 400 pound divorcé living at home in his parents basement??? GTFO!!! My reason for living is OVERRRRRRRR!!

Remember that one poster who was all: "ZOMG that is NOT Enty's photo in his Facebook profile!!!!!11 I found it on Google images!!!!11" That was so fucking funny.

  22. this is one of those times when i wish i were a southerner so i could pat 'iheartjacksparrow' on the head, and say, 'why, bless your heaaaart' (in paula deen voice).

    i think he/she/it probably thought:

-they were giving us 'BREAKING NEWS!!!!'
-we believed the NYP is a bastion of credibility
-we buy into hack 'journalists' who prefer character assassination over grammar and sentence structure
-not realize that this same 'journalist' plants her own gaga 'blinds' across a slew of tabloid (print/web) in the interest of plugging her 'book'

back to the drawing board, loser. maybe next time you'll not only be quicker on the uptake, but you'll grow in the awareness that not everyone is easily manipulated by half-baked 'writers'.

  23. As a rule, I don't watch movies where an actor plays a character and dresses up as their opposite sex counter point. I do think Adam Sandler is funny though. SNL, Big Daddy, Mixed Nuts, Billy Madison, The Wedding Singer, and Funny People were all really good.

  24. As a person Adam Sandler is probably a really nice guy. As an actor I really don't get him or his projects.

As for the New York Post ... as someone who lives in New York City, we know it's on par with the National Enquirer. It's the biggest trash paper out there and definitely not worth the paper it is printed on. Grammatical errors, content errors, just shoddy reporting on a daily basis.

  25. He won for worst actor AND worst actress - that's fucking awesome!!!

Enty, I don't give a shit who you really are. You're funny, and almost everyone who comments here is amazing. I've stopped going to most of the other sites - this one rules.

Oh yeah, I read the NY Post for laughs, not for their outstanding journalism. It's a rag, people.

  26. Only adding to write that for years now, reading this site has helped me cope with my father's passing, a disengagement, seven months of a pregnancy confined to bedrest...I could go on. I've been around since almost the beginning and have seen posters come and go but very rarely do I comment. I have always felt a great sense of community with so many clever, like-minded commenters. I was just as surprised as many of you about the site blowing up and ensuing scandal. When dinner guests started bringing this site up during the Gawker/Jezebel hype, I knew things would continue to get interesting.

I'll continue reading for as long as the site is around and stays amusing.

My two cents in regard to the NYP article - it's an OpEd piece, for one. Wouldn't it be fascinating if this piece was purposely misinformed by CDaN to stop the other "journalists" trying to figure out who is behind it and whether it's all true or not? With the increased traffic comes lots more scrutiny. Anyway, it was also published on April Fool's originally. The writer could even be a wiling pawn in it.

I could certainly be wrong. But it' s always fun to speculate. The bottom line of why most of us are here - whether we do it in the comments or in our heads :)

  27. I have never seen the appeal of Adam Sandler. I felt the same way about Bill Murray until Lost in Translation. Maybe AS will have a movie like that and change my mind. At any rate everyone raves about what a nice guy he is.
Princess: Don't pick on Iheart. He/She come is a sweet regular-bless her heart! Maybe he/she is just disappointed. I kinda felt the same way first time I read the article.
Yawnathon..So glad this helped you. So long as you found comfort that's all that matters. This group made me feel good too when I was out of work. And will be again if I don't get off this dame site and do some work!

    1. I think given the right serious role, Adam Sandler could win an Oscar someday, like Robin Williams. When he's not acting like a moron, he is very good. Spanglish, Punch Drunk love were good. Even in Funny People, he's in on the joke that he makes stupid movies.

      I like his early movies!

(and not to be like 'I have inside gossip' but a friend worked on Chuck and Larry and by all accounts, he is a very down to earth unaffected guy. )

  28. I could care less if Enty is an Oompa Loompa, who hangs out in Johnny Depp's basement, playing Guitarhero with Keith Richards.

  29. I don't think Adam cares if he gets a Razzie or not. He makes huge bank deposits regularly and helps lots of his actor friends stay in the business. So, good for him.

As for the brouhaha over Enty, I don't care. I like the site, I love the people who comment and it gives me a chance to put in my two cents worth somewhere once in awhile. All in all a very good place to be.

  30. This is the longest commitment I've had with a blog. I've been reading for the past three or four years. I'm a little naive so I'll believe Enty truly is who he says he is until it is revealed otherwise (even then I'll still believe). I live the attention the blog is getting but I hope it doesn't change because of it and I hope all these new posters who cause arguments go away because I love the dynamic of the comments sections.

  31. @chopchop - You mean those photos were fake?? I NEVER! ;)

    **applause** for Pookie!

Jack & Jill looked horrible, but I still love Adam Sandler. He will always be near/dear to my heart for being part of my favorite SNL casts.

  33. Back to Sandra Bullock showing up to pick up her Razzie - that mad queen of crazy (Halle Berry) did the same thing when she won a Razzie for Catwoman after winning her Oscar. Just wanted to say...

BTW - I'm usually here for the comments (although I'm not above enjoying a good BI as well).

Yawnathon - I think the speculation truly is part of the fun. Glad this site helped you through some very trying times!

Ardleigh - I love that image you just planted in my brain!!!

  35. Its a little disturbing that people are saying they don't care about the truth and that it's fun to come on here and guess BI regardless. These blinds are about incest, brutal rapes and pedophilia. Please explain the 'fun' part to me. Peoples reputations are being tarnished because of this shit. And does anyone ask exactly how does enty knows all these intimate details of peoples lives?? Something tells me these nasty stories aren't fact-checked, which was fine when they were just about who doesn't tip, but this is serious now. Why are you people ok with this? Why are you so willing to be taken for fools?

I personally believe enty and himmm are one in the same, all part of the scam.
