Seeing the photo of Paul McCartney made me wonder if anyone had been to a nude beach. I actually have. Never had a worse burn in my life. Also, because I am so fat, I literally went through 3 bottles of aloe a day trying to soothe it.
St Maarten- didn't go nude; saw a guy in a wheelchair and thought oh good I'm not alone - then he sat on the shore line and took it all off! I felt like a dummy.
Yes. I have been nude on a nude beach. I have never had so much eye contact. Most people.are super polite and do not.stare. A few jerks.were taking pictures.
Yes, but only went topless. Went as a teenager with three friends and some naked guy came over, wrapped his towel around himself in front of us, not before and asked if we could watch his stuff while he went for a walk. He was creepy.
Yep, as mentioned in the McCartney post, I was at a gay nude beach in Ft. Lauderdale. I was trying to open my chair, when this really good looking man asked me if I needed help. I said yes and he helped me and we and my friend ended up chatting quite a bit. The only thing he was wearing was his MLB World Series champgionship ring. I asked if I could try it on and he said yes. That was one heavy ring! And, he was a really nice guy.
The friend I was with ended up running into a client of hers while she was topless in the water.
Yes, in Greece and then in St Maarten. Only went topless because no want sand in vag. It was very comfortable both times. People generally know not to stare.
It was really funny at St Maarten though because there was a guy there with the biggest ____ I've ever seen (at least, when at ease). He did every thing he could (walking back and forth, doing tai chi, etc) to get people to look at him. I cracked up every time he passed us.
About 30 years ago on St. Croix. We didn't have the nerve to even go topless, but we took pictures of the guys who were naked and they loved that we took their pictures.
I happened to go for a walk along the beach. There was a natural wall and I made my way over it. As I continued my stroll, I started noticing everyone was nude in this "partick" section of the beach.
Being fully clothed, I drew some attention. It became one of those moments of Do I Stay or Do I Go? I opted to stay, simply because I spotted a tag football game being played. A dynamic one, co-ed too. It wasn't the nudity that fascinated me. I was wondering how each team distinguished their members from the other side? I think it was long hairs vs short, but it was a fast game so maybe it was something else.
Unable to figure it out and having stayed what seemed a long enough time to establish some odd notion of cred that I felt needed to be made, I tried to jauntily saunter my way back to the other side.
I studied abroad in a country that has nude beaches scattered around its coastline. After about two weeks of demurely wearing a top, I tossed it aside in a moment of spontaneity. And I'm so grateful that no one acted licentiously, and also that I got the best tan of my LIFE.
It sure was nice to be in a place where visible areolae isn't some gaspworthy/illegal thing.
Only did it once on Orient Beach, and it was wonderful. I didn't give a rats ass if anyone thought me too overweight, you don't like it, don't look. I had the time of my life skinny dipping in the ocean. Took me years to get the point of not giving a crap what others thought, and worth every damn minute.
yep, we have a famous nude beach here in Vancouver called Wreck Beach. I finally went about two summers ago but remained clothed. Was totally impressed by how cool everyone there was. You can buy ANYTHING on that beach - weed, cold beer, homemade tacos and some of the best wraps I've ever had. I will definitely go back and go topless. I think. The only weird thing about my experience was that my girlfriend's boyfriend arranged to meet us there and when we found him, I was able to clearly see he had a Prince Albert piercing. Huh. Nice that he wasn't embarrassed or anything, but I felt weird about seeing my friend's boyfriend naked all day.
Never been to a nude beach, but where I'm from it's quite normal on any beach for women to be tanning topless. I don't tan though. The sun and I don't really get along.
It's now legal to go topless on beaches in Ontario, and I've indulged. There's nothg nicer than letting it all hang ur and jumping into a large body of water :)
A girlfriend and I walked the beach on Maui from our condo for almost three miles, took our tops off, there was nobody around, until we met a couple walking towards us starkers, and very, very, tan. We all said "Hi" and continued on our way. Shortly thereafter we all turned around for the return trip and had to say "Bye".
I did in Marin County at Red Rock Beach (by Stinson Beach/ muir Woods)... I do not have a nude beach friendly body at all, but I participated. Everyone was really chill and it was a good experience. I felt much more comfortable than I expected.
When I was in college, I studied abroad in France one summer and my roomies and I went to Nice for the weekend. The beach was topless rather than fully nude, but I didn't have the guts to take mine off. I wish for once I wasn't so self-conscious and could be happy with my body.
Nope. I am not really a beachy person at all, despite living at the beach. I like the atmosphere, the funkiness, the light, but not the sand, heat, sweat or the creatures that live in the ocean. My beach activity is limited to strolls along the edge of the water, collecting sea shells. Fully clothed.
@K Peony-oh that made me laugh. I unfortunately can relate. There aren't usually very many pretty bodies to look at at nude beaches. Same with the nude spas in Germany I went to...almost always only elderly Germans. Once chatting in the naked spa with my friend, a guy with thong tan lines came up to us and started asking in an American accent where in the States we were from. Suddenly, I felt extremely naked! I tried to cover my nipples and crotch nonchalantly as I answered.
Nope. Went to some clothing optional pool parties when I lived in Arizona and loved it. I've never been a situation where I was around a nude beach, but considering how liberating and fun skinny dipping in a pool was, I would imagine that at least the top would be gone.
I had a date to a nude beach back in the 70's (Black's Beach in San Diego). My date immediately dropped his shorts and that was unfortunate for him. He begged and begged for me to do the same and I finally dropped the top, but that was it. The crowd was mostly Gay men, but I spotted an older creepy guy sitting off alone with one of those big paparazzi type cameras.
Oh ya, there was a nude male volleyball game going on. Lots of stuff getting flung around there. LOL.
South Beach in Miami isn't a nude beach, and I don't even think it is legal to be topless, but it is super common. I grew up thinking all beaches in the US were like this.
Like I said in the earlier post, I went topless for the first time there - not the best experience. And yes, I burnt them slightly. I love my breasts and take much better care of them now:) i don't need age spots on my girls!
Never, while I love the beach I'm not fond of too much sun and never tan.....
ReplyDeleteBeen to a nude beach in St. Maarten. Didn't participate though.
ReplyDeleteI have never been but would be ok with going to one. I figure if everyone is nude, then they won't pay too much attention to me.
ReplyDeleteNo and I never tan. Ever since I hit my mid-twenties I just say no to the sun.
ReplyDeleteI have been to a nude beach and a few nude watering holes. I don't go nude but it's an option.
ReplyDeleteJust topless beaches. Found the experiences nice and normal.

ReplyDeleteYes. Many times to Zandvoort, The Netherlands.
ReplyDeletehave never had the confidence to let it all out on a nude beach. also afraid to be *that* drooling person ...

ReplyDeleteNope. Not because I'm a prude or embarrassed, but because I don't do beaches; I hate hot weather and I hate sweating.
ReplyDeleteYet I'm a huge Parrothead. Go figure.

ReplyDeleteYes, on Sanibel Island, FL. Loved it and every time we are there, we go. Lots of fun!!
ReplyDeleteYes several times..On beaches in Oz with my boyfriend and Greece with my girlfriend. Only topless though.

ReplyDeletei suffer from case of the Lohan when it comes to my boobs. I'm only 26 with a small frame, but if they got any saggier I could use them as a skip it.
ReplyDeleteSo no. I have not been to a nude beach.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was in Turkey, most of the ladies went topless, regardless of their age or body size/type. It was absolutely wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLOVE Red Rock beach! I'm east coast now but went there all the time when I lived in SF. I burn, not tan, so was covered most of the time.

Yes, by accident. My dog was quite pleased. I had to get him out of there fast before he sniffed people where they don't want to be sniffed.
ReplyDeleteThere's a nudist beach about 20 min from my house and I've been going there nearly every summer for 15 years.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I get naked at non nudist beaches as well but that usually involved moonlight and tequila

Yes, although I said that already on the other post.
ReplyDeleteWhen you're on a nude beach, people don't gawk. It's very comfortable. And it's so nice to run into the surf on a hot day, completely bare.
I recounted my "on the beach, no top" story. Now we have a pool, and I will say that all ladies look lovely in the pool topless. They float!
