Whitney Houston And Drugs - Was She Murdered?

I know I Tweeted yesterday that I was not surprised that Whitney Houston was found with drugs in her system. Coke, pot, prescription pills and they all contributed to the whole "accidental drowning." Was it accidental? Could be, but this woman had a huge tolerance for drugs and it could be that she was just really upset at someone and maybe they decided to do a little something about it. Maybe Whitney was seeing someone that someone else wanted to see. Maybe there was jealous between Whitney and another person about other things. All, I am saying is that Whitney could have got a little sleepy and slid down the tub, or maybe Whitney got a little sleepy and was helped down into the tub. There are three interesting backstories that were going on in Whitney's life and any one of them could have led to something. For the most part, I am not a conspiracy guy, but there are a few questions I have about this whole accident thing and three very good suspects.

  2. Enty you're resurrecting the old Jim Morrison was murdered trope (although he faked his death and lives in Africa.) There seems to be a common thread where a celebrity dies by abusing themselves and eveyone is to blame but them. MJ abused Propyphol for the high, not to get to sleep yet they hang the doctor. Mixing Benzos and alcohol usually results in death. She was worth far more alive than she was dead.

  3. She had a bad heart from the years of cocaine use to. That's probably why she couldn't have plastic surgery. After Kanye West's mother's death, plastic surgeons really check you out now. If it wasn't the accident, it would have been something else.

  6. I want to hear the conspiracy theories, true or not! Does anyone know?

I read an article that I found incredibly sad about a theory that Whitney's drug problems really escalated when she and her "friend" Robin parted ways. The article suggests that because she had to (1) deny she was gay/who she was (2) lose such a stabilizing influence in her life she turned more and more to drugs.

  7. I don't believe any conspiracy theories about Whitney. She had a bad heart and she was loaded. Case closed.

  8. Mixing a lot of drugs and taking a bath? Never a good idea, especially with a bad heart. I'm with Occam's Razor on this one. The simplest explanation is the most likely.

  9. If she hadn't been on Xanax, Benadryl, pot, cocaine, and alcohol, and a heart condition I'd be tempted to go with the whole "was it murder" scenario.
But hell, hospitals now give 2 Benadryl by themselves as a pre-op shot.
Mix them with the rest of it and you're walking a razor's edge at best.
    Throw in a hot bath?
Sorry conspiracy theorists... accidental death compounded by stupidity.

  10. Are one of the conspiracys involving Bobbi Kristina? The whole situation seems a little odd to me. I totally believe and conspiracy theories & when drugs are involved you dont know what could happen.

  11. I can't believe you're actually buying into a conspiracy theory. She was an absolute mess - no one forced her to do drugs. I think her body just gave out after all the years of abuse, and to suggest that there might have been something else at play is just too convenient.

    This is all on her.

  13. She must have been dead or unconscious, not just sleeping, before drowning. Even if she was in a Xanax induced sleep, if you start drowning you'll wake up. When I was a teen I had a coke problem and ended up od'ing. I didn't even do that much that night, but after o much abuse my heart gave out. Unfortunately I think the same happened to Whitney. I definitely believe it was the amphetamine/benzo combo. We've lost way too many stars that way :(

  14. This isn't te first time Enty had alluded to a Ray J/Bobbi Kristina situation.

But, I think it is at it has been presented, and not murder.

  15. She must have been dead or unconscious, not just sleeping, before drowning.

You can't be dead BEFORE drowning.

As much of a total PIA and holy terror she must have been to live with, I don't think it was murder.

  16. What can I say, I like conspiracies. Do I think her cause of death is drugs yes of course I just wonder if she was helped along. Maybe just by leaving a woman with xanax coke & benadryl in her system in the tub for 2hrs.

    ReplyDelete
  17. It wasn't murder. Sorry, Enty, not buying it. Her body and heart were worn out from years and years of hard-core abuse. End of story.

    ReplyDelete
  18. @Poppymann - agree.

    ReplyDelete
  19. NO...Whitney was not murdered. Whitney was a heavy drug user and mixed uppers with downers. Her heart was that of an old woman, due to the years of drug abuse. She passed out in the tub and drowned.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Whit had abused so many drugs for so long she was almost a vegetable. No conspiracy.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm totally in the market for a conspiracy theory.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I want to know who cleaned the coke out of the room. Unless she hoovered it all up before she took a bath.

I think the only person that murdered Whitney, is Whitney. She was past her prime, her voice was shredded. Clive Davis has moved on to other acts/female singers as his "muses" She was for no better word, drowning in her insecurties and turned to coke to feel confident again.

It's a timeless Hollywood story that will repeat itself time and time again.

The fact that she is worth more dead than alive is the hook in all this. I can see someone feeding her coke in the hopes she would die. But she snorted it up on her own.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I don't think it was murder....but I am curious about what was in her system. Cocaine is a stimulant, so it's hard to understand how she would pass out and drown while doing something that revs you up.

    ReplyDelete
  24. What did Nancy Grace say? Either way I think surfer has it...I agree

    ReplyDelete
  25. @ Moose, she probably did a ton the night before (it's in your system for the next 48-72 hours), then took benedryl to sleep. Woke up the next day, felt like shit and starting drinking and popped half a xannie bar, while taking a bath to make her feel better....only it killed her instead. It happens, end of story.

    ReplyDelete
  26. My own personal theory is that the alcohol and depressants, combined with the hot bath, caused her to lose consciousness and slip under the water. Haven't you ever had a hangover, taken a hot shower, and gotten dizzy? A sudden drop in blood pressure can easily cause fainting.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I would imagine that the coke was too much for her heart and she had a heart attack and lost consciousness.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Agree with AKM. I am usually suspicious of everything, but in this case, I'm not at all - I think it happened just like they said, he lost consciousness and then drowned. She either passed out from the pills (the ones she was taking make you sleepy, together they make you very sleepy) or the last coke she did caused her to have a heart attack, then she went under water.
Her family is ITCHING to blame someone, they need to accept she was druggy and be done with it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. it was Dolly Parton - she clearly had the most to gain (and did) from Whitney's death. I just hadn't realized that she was involved with RayJ too!? It al-l-l-l-l makes sense now.

  30. Cocaine is a stimulant but when you start mixing it with a bunch of other crap it doesn't work that way anymore... One night, during my stupid years, I was on about 4 tabs of E, and drank a bottle of vodka, and then smoked a ton of weed. I didnt know which way was up, and I was passing out all over the place, I could barely stand, or walk, and I kept losing memory of where I was and what I was doing. I should have been on my way to the hospital, but anyway, the point is that drugs don't act how they're supposed to when mixed with other drugs. That is how people die. Unfortunately that is what happened to Whitney, very sad...

    ReplyDelete
  31. Agree with everyone!

Whitney's drug use killed Whitney. Long term drug use significantly weakens and destroys your body. Period. Except those Rolling Stones' guys. Keith is a mutant or something.

Instead of trying to blame someone her family should start a charity to promote the dangers of drug use or a new Betty Ford type clinic. You can't bring her back. Your actions now could help save other lives.

    *sorry for the preaching...

  32. What I read is that her arteries were 60% blocked. 60%!!!

Come on! AND, she used coke JUST before getting into the bath tub. Prolly rolled and smoked a rock-laced joint, which was her favorite usage.

Of course no one found coke in the room; her peeps hid all the evidence before cops and EMTs got there. Please.

The body can only take so much. Coke and Xanax and 60%-blocked arteries? Recipe for kicking the bucket.

    And...helllooooo Ray J, anyone?

No one "murdered" Whitney, but she damn sure had a ton of enablers and suppliers in her life on this Earth.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Exactly, @selenakyle. She may have been enabled to death, but murdered? I doubt it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. What is this, the Whitney Houston Memorial Murder by Death Rumor Post? She's definitely star enough to merit a murder rumor, but puhleeze, this is pitiful stuff, just referencing some unidentified possibles.
    Whitney deserves better!
Clearly what "murdered" Whitney is the same thing that "murdered" Michael Jackson, whasshername Winehouse (forgot for a sec), Jimi, Janis, Morrison, Brian Jones, etc. etc. ZZZZzzzzzz. You'd think they'd fucking learn.

    ReplyDelete
  35. After seeing that photo of her looking a mess and blood running down her leg, I was shocked, but not surprised at her death. That photo immediately brought Amy Winehouse to mind.

@fijigirl touched on this, but I'll elaborate, I think her not being able to be with the true love of her life probably contributed to her escalated drug use. She should have been allowed to at least make a go with Robin, but that was unthinkable, even now, for someone of her stature. Heartbreaking.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Errrmm...Amartel? It turns out Brian Jones was murdered. A person who worked for him confessed to the murder on his deathbed.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Wasn't Brian Jones found drowned in a pool? Who killed him? There were lots of rumors it was Keith and/or Mick...

    ReplyDelete
  38. @poppyman seriously about Jim Morrison is that true?

Overall though I'm with everyone else she killed herself-- went on a blow bender for days, took benzos and alcohol to land comfortably, and ended up dead instead. This could kill a normal person but could certainly kill a person who's body is damaged by years of heavy drug use. Unless ENTY has some credible info beyond that I think the case is closed... (I'm talking to you Nancy Grace/Sam the Eagle).

  39. Folks are focused on the atherosclerosis. It was only 60%!! Studies from Korea and Vietnam showed atherosclerosis in 78% of those autopsied. 20% of these <35 year old men had narrowing >50%. Yes, it could have contributed especially with the cocaine use immediately before she got in the tub. But given she was supposed to perform in a few hours, do you really believe she was trying to come down? I think doing the coke to get up for the party and performance makes more sense with some xanax to relax at night.

Let's not forget her tolerance. A couple of Xanax for her is nothing. Yes she also had marijuana in her tox report but that could have been smoked days or weeks ago.

I've talked myself into it.... Not a simple overdose.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hot bath time and cocaine don't mix. Period. Specially when your heart is ready to give. When mixed with the other drugs in her system, she basically did the John Belushi/Kevin Farley.... Push pull push pull break.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Back in my day I was a bit of a Jami Gertz circa Less Than Zero days, and coke never made me sleepy. If anything, she would have had a heart attack, then drowned, but that's not what the coroner said.

However, let's all be straight, (what was that white guys name again, the record label guy, he looks like a bowling pin_Clive Davis) well, he was paying for everything without hope to EVER recoup. And just look at sales now. Ya dig.

The only way she would have passed out would have been also (if not the heart attack) but someone cut her blow with dope (heroin) and again, nothing in the coroner's report states that either. But then again, money talks. Money talks.

Either way, let's hope she's at peace now.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I heard today she had an unknown heart condition...

    ReplyDelete
  43. You do have to consider drug tolerance. When you are in your usual drug-taking spot (home or wherever), your body prepares for your drug use before you take it because of the known situation you are in. A lot of people OD because they take the same amount of drugs but in a new situation where their body isn't prepared to handle that amount of drug. I forget what the technical term is for this (been away from psych classes for a while).

I think she OD'd because she was an addict, not because someone murdered her. I do believe there was a coverup so her supplier and fellow drug mates wouldn't get in hot water.

    ReplyDelete
  44. LynGBH-it did not "turn out" Brian Jones was murdered. People have floating (ha) that rumor since the day he died, blaming Keith and Mick, blaming the housekeeper, etc etc. blah blah. The source of the deathbed confession has since retracted. The fact of the matter is that poor Brian was a big time drug and alc abuser and drowned in his backyard pool even and despite being a great swimmer. Conclusion?

I'm thinking Ray J had something to do with it...

    ReplyDelete
  46. @Candicane - I'm a fan of conspiracies too (not the crazy ones tho!) and I could totally see something like this happening. What better cover story is there when the victim is a known drug addict? I don't know whether she was murdered or died as a result of her own vices but if reading CDAN has taught me anything it's that EVERYTHING is possible in Hollywood.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I love the statement that she shad a high tolerance for drugs. That has nothing to do with the damage wreaked on your body. You keep shoving that shit in your mouth and up your nose, your body will say "ok. That's fucking enough" and you'll die.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm big on conspiracy theories (I'm looking at you man on the grassy knoll), but when a known drug abuser dies, isn't the most likely "suspect" just the drugs? It's not like she was rolling in money and killed for that. Why would anyone kill her? What would be the point? Did she have secrets she was going to spill? Until someone can provide a plausible reason for anyone killing her, then I'm going to continue to believe that it was just the drugs.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Nobody other than Whitney caused her death. Whitney was playing Russian Roulette with her life everyday except she used drugs instead of guns and she finally lost. I assume someone removed the illegal drugs because they were, uh illegal. Everyone was most likely in shock and not thinking that even though removing the drugs might save her reputation in the media right then, it wouldn't from the autopsy. It would however keep any of the users/dealers from being busted.

Also, Brian Jones was not murdered. It was proved to be a false confession.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I think Whitney was using with others, as addicts do, and OD'd and whoever she was with put her in the tub

    ReplyDelete
  51. Weren't there a whole bunch of people in the outer room? How could someone have killed her without anyone noticing? And I'm sure there's evidence when someone is held under water as opposed to passing out.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The lady in the Long Island Medium blog ad has a Nancy Grace haircut.

I'd love to hear the conspiracy theories on Whit. Let's not forget the one about the Illuminati sacrificing her. ;)

  53. Off Topic, but maybe interesting...I was reading an out of print home beauty hints book today and it said
"Whitney Houston got that gorgeous glow to her skin by mixing one spoonful of olive oil with two spoonfuls of bronzing powder and rubbing it into her skin."
