Usually Simon Cowell is so buddy buddy with his ex-girlfriends. They travel together, date and still sleep with each other regularly. Not so for Terri Seymour. Even though they dated the longest, you never see her as part of Simon's circle and its too bad really because she would be someone who is actually qualified to host X Factor. Instead, Simon has decided to do George Clooney a favor or thinks he will have a shot st Stacy Keibler once George dumps her and is in discussions for Stacy to host X Factor. Because? Oh yeah, she was a wrestler and on Dancing With The Stars. Definitely qualified.
I'm sorry but Terry Seymour is unbearable to listen to, it's clear she got interview gigs as a result of Simon. Her voice sounds like she has a throat full of glass shards!
ReplyDeleteActually, Stacy rarely wrestled, she was more an ornament than anything else, her biggest move being bending over as she entered the ring so her skirt would hike up. I always chuckle when people describe her as an "ex-wrestler."
ReplyDeleteBeing the host for X-Factor isn't brain surgery. I'm sure Stacy can handle it. She's personable, has reality show experience from DWTS, and attractive. That's all she needs.

How lucky for her to get a job that has provided long term job security for the likes of Paula Abdul, Cheryl Cole, and Nicole Scherzinger.

Yeah, the requirements for hosting X-Factor should be look good, sound good, and be able to build dramatic tension when revealing who is staying and who is going. I think she can handle it. Seacrest does, after all...

ReplyDeleteWell she can't be worse than that Steve Jones guy. If she has a personality I say go for it and good for her, she seems like a sweetheart.
I have a hard time thinking she EVER dated Clooney, in all the pics they looked more like buddies to me. That said, I really don't care and wish her well, she seems cooler than that Elizabetta or Sarah Larson chick.
@Florin -- that's kinda not fair, Seacrest is an absolute consummate professional and works his ass off.
ReplyDeletesimon is just grasping at straws. he does this about every week or so, send out a name of someone who he is considering being a judge for the x-factor. as if anyone gives a s-it. seriously, no one even watches that show. I bet most people cannot even name who the winner was last season.

I want to like george clooney (though I don't believe that he is much of an actor) because he does such good political work. however, he and his contracted girlfriends - whether they are beards or not - make it impossible to. its such a cynical thing to do, to have a chick on hand for show. and then they go on dancing w/the stars, etc.
I loved Steve Jones. He wasn't hard on the eyes either. My guess is Simon didn't want anyone better looking than himself.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know who Stacy Keibler was until she started dating George. I still don't know what she does, except that she's his new beard. When I actually first saw her name, I thought she was related to elves, lived in a giant oak tree and made crackers.

ReplyDeletethis amazes me. simon married terri seymour about a year before they broke up. they were married at auberge du soliel in napa valley, most of the guests stayed there or at meadowood. there were tons of celebrities in tow, annie lenox is the only one i remember though. the limo drivers hauling everyone around came to our winery and told us all about it. why it never hit the main stream has always blown my mind.

It doesn't take much to host that show. All you have to do really is read off the teleprompter, plus I'm sure she's used to being in front of cameras and memorizing "dialogue" from her WWE days.

I feel like this shows hosts and judges change every other month. Unless I'm confusing it with another show. Wasn't Vanessa Minillo hosting this show? Wasn't Britney Spears going to be a judge? I swear this show changes judges & hosts like every week. Why not just cancel it!?
ReplyDeleteBless her heart, but Stacy Keibler appears to have absolutely nothing between her pretty ears. She always looks like she's not entirely sure where she is. Of course, she's going to be laughing all the way to the bank once GC kicks her to the curb (possibly before).
ReplyDelete@kelgela She can do it the old-fashioned, pre-Internet way...start a band (or do the solo singer/songwriter thing) and build a following from live performances. No one will listen to you unless they've heard of you. (I'm a former music industry gal.)

Terry Seymour is pretty much a nobody who leeches off of Cowell. He "takes care" of his ex girlfriends, although that probably counts as two people.
ReplyDeleteSteve Jones was a "qualified" presenter but was useless. Having another British host would be a nail in the coffin for the show.
Dione Herself, Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh in my previous message. I figured out the confusion...it was the other Simon (Simon Fuller) who got married at Auberge Du Soleil. He's also the creator/producer of American Idol and used to be partners w/Simon Cowell...hence the mix-up.

ReplyDeleteStacy is gorgeous, confident, articulate and charismatic. Sure, Clooney is her "big break," but she's as qualified to host as just about anybody else in Hollywood. I'm sick of her getting picked on as if she were some nobody getting propped up by Clooney. It's not like she's the wretchedly untalented Elisabetta, or that cocktail waitress chick.
