  1. I think that pic of Kiernan is adorable!

I am so excited for Mad Men.

  2. Kiernan looks great, unfortunately, I get a Room 23 vibe from the photo. Ugh, I really need a brain scrub from everything I've read lately!

I have pants like Gwen's, the zippers are silver, though. I love them.

When you glance at Courtney Robertson (no idea who this is), it looks like she's pregnant, wearing a striped sweater.

Pretty sweet to bring your parents to a premiere, IMO.

  3. I love that Beyonce's walking around with her baby in a sling and wearing flats, unlike Posh.

  4. @MM - agreed.

Surrogacy questions aside, at least she is with her baby and seems totally into the role of mommy, unlike some other celebrities out there. *cough cough January Jones cough*

  5. I was thinking the same about Beyonce. Regardless of how the kid got here, I can imagine Beyonce being very control... I mean, hands on with her daughter.

I think Kiernan looks very cute. I don't get a Room 23 vibe either.

  6. I hate conspiracies but all I can think is why is Beyonce, a woman so obsessed with looking slim, wearing nude colored leggings a few weeks after having a baby?

  7. Who is Courtney Robertson, am I missing something?

    ReplyDelete
  8. ah ok, she's from The Bachelor, totally explains why I was clueless.

  9. I find Beyonce' walking around alone no bodyguard or nanny around....weird...is the baby really in the sling ?

    ReplyDelete
  10. I do agree about Beyonce spending time with the baby and bonding by using the Baby Bjorn. But why so many shoes? Babies do best with socks.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I don't know about anyone else but when my child was a baby, she liked to be wrapped up like a papoose. So I never understand little babies in slings/carriers like the one Beyonce is wearing.

  12. Please someone stop Rose McGowan!! She needs a plastic surgery intervention in the worst way. Hey, did I just hit on a new Reality TV show?

I fear for Blue Ivy's sartorial future. Poor little bean.

I, too, get a Room 23 vibe from the Shipka photo. The beds, the short skirt, the bedhead, seedy hotel room, etc., are much too mature to be associated with a 12 year-old.

  14. I love Jim Caviezel on Person of Interest.

Too bad kids can't be kids any more.

  15. @ Misch, there was a body guard, you just can't see him in this photo. There are other sites with more photos of her and he's walking next to her.

  16. I think Shipka is dressed perfectly appropriately for her age - I do however think the setting is wholly ridiculous for a 12 year old

    1. Yes, several, and that jezebel post is days old, you really think no one here has seen it yet?

  18. msgirl, babies do do better with just socks or barefoot, but I don't think it matters until they start to roll/crawl?
I also find it strange that she is totally alone, but maybe we just can't see a bodyguard in the picture

  19. Really, was the snippy response to a new poster necessary? Just say that it's been addressed here and move on.

  20. I think after all that crap from the Room book, we're ultra-sensitive to all child photos. As we should be!

  21. I am still kind of in the dark about the Room 23 book. I tried looking it up but found nothing but normal info on it.
I think the pic of this girl is bordering on seedy. I mean she is a gorgeous girl but the motel is just not necessary. Love the phone though.

  22. One of the reasons I like the commenting community here is because people aren't nutty and snarky and mean to each other.

    @SEAWARD

  23. In the Kiernan photo, I think it looks like a girl's bedroom, with twin beds and a princess phone.

Seedy hotel rooms have bedspreads that hide the damage done.

  24. Baby Bjorns are handy for parents who need to bond w/(esp.) preemies. Beyonce may be shooting herself in the foot here, PR-wise. Ivy was full-term, she's nursing, and Bey is still Bjorning? Why the need for so much bonding?

    1. I used mine for my little girl and she was full-term and nursed. It was the easiest way for me to carry her around.

  25. On Clooney: I love this guy. Even if he's got a butler just out of the shot, the pic of him shlepping his cleaning is endearing.

  26. I don't really like her but the recent pics of Beyonce with her baby have gotten to me. I think she looks great ... baby looks happy & safe ... and if Blue weren't wearing socks/shoes everyone would be all "ZOMG it's winter and that baby is BAREFOOT!! CALL CPS!!!!!!1"

  27. I LOVE Jesus on Person of Interest! It is one of my favorite shows.

Do kids even know about telephones anymore? That pic is very retro.

  28. Bewolf's kid looks awfully small to me. I had twins and they were bigger than that at two months.

  29. Room 23 is really disturbing when you look at it with the info ent has given us

I can't say I'm comfortable with the Beyonce bashing. I don't give a fuck if she actually have birth but do we have to nitpick her parenting decisions? I hate when women do that on real life, I don't feel like reading it here.

Pardon the spelling errors, my phone (or all phones) won't let me go back and fix errors.

  31. I agree w/Beth--I thought it looked a lot like a '50s/'60s girly-girl bedroom w/the fake French provincial furniture, pink satin bedspreads on twin beds, and esp. the princess phone. Besides, if you can't wear a short skirt when you're 12 years old, when can you wear one? (I don't think I've ever heard of a hotel w/satin bedspreads; they'd either be printed to hide dirt & stains, or else cotton for the sake of easy washing.) Not to mention she's got that classic junior high/middle school girl who's just hitting puberty's facial expression of "Could you please go away? I'm on the phone!"

  32. Please don't pick on Gwen! If you are a fan you would know the hat has significance. They celebrated 25 years as a band!

  33. My baby was full term and I nursed and I always used a Baby Bjorn - carrying your baby all snuggled up next to you as much as possible is a great way to bond, and you can never bond too much with one. It's also the best one on the market for mom's posture. Or a sling but I never could get the hang of it. I carried my baby as much as possible!

"Why the need for so much bonding?" Seriously?!

Must not be or ever want to be a parent.

  35. People, c'mon. The kid is 12, but look at her? Lolita-esque cues are all over this, though she does look very pretty. I'm with @EmEyeKay - bad vibes.

  36. DianaofThemyscira: she and her husband disrupted a major NYC hospital and upset other new parents with their mystery and self-entitlement. Their behavior raised the issue of whether she actually gave birth -- the many photo ops suggest she's protesting too much. The NYC weather has been glorious this week, but this is a woman who (until now) needed an escort to walk from her doorway to her Escalade. This issue is not going away for a while; she bought (literally) into it, let her deal with it. If she's smart (hasn't been so far) she'll let it fade away.

@weezy : Plenty of parents carry their full-term healthy babies in baby bjorns. Perhaps Beyonce & Jay Z are practicing attachment parenting and baby is always being held or touched by someone.

  39. (Long, loonnngggg time lurker - almost since the beginning of CDAN - but very recent poster.)

@ Sadie - I'm with you on the Jim Caviezel love.

Re comments about Beyonce ... if there's one thing I've learned from the recent revelations, it's that it's impossible to judge a celeb by their PR. Beyonce may look like a committed parent, but that's only what she and her peeps want us to see. What about what they *don't* want us to see?

@Sadie, I find him hot too, but I find being religious really unattractive so I'm torn.

I think y'all have been hanging around Lipstick Alley for too long.

Sometimes a picture is just a picture. :-)

  43. And I'll change the commenting around completely (and since it's the next morning no one will notice) - I love Mrs. Tatum's (if that's her real last name) blouse. Very pretty. I'd like to have one of those myself.

Unknown, if you read this - No Doubt has been a band for 25 years? Why celebrate with a hat like that?

  44. Kiernan is the most brilliant child actress around. So geeked for the return of Mad Men!

  45. Oh, and as a midwifery student and massage therapist, I can tell you that those carriers are absolutely horrible for a baby's hip joints. :/ Mai tai carriers are much better!

  46. I raise my hand to the sexy Jesus! I know he is a religious freak, but gives me tingles.
