ReplyDeleteI don't think that pantsuit is velour--it looks like velveteen, perhaps cotton velveteen, to me. While decent-quality cotton-blend velour can be nice & snuggly, the sheen on that material is better than what I've seen with velour; polyester velour just looks cheap & shiny.
ReplyDelete(Why yes, I AM a fabric geek--I'm a huge historic costume buff & sew a fair number of my own clothes, both for ordinary wear & in the SCA. My next purchase, in fact, will probably be some black velveteen to trim an early Tudor style dress, c. 1490 or so, that I'm planning to make in a lovely green print. :-)
The top of Stacy Keibler's dress reminds me of my girl scout manual...when they tell you how to wrap a dislocated shoulder.

As for Juliane Hough, I used to not think much of her, but now I think she works her ass off and she's getting some solid work. Respekt!
