Nicollette Sheridan Talks About Being Hit By Marc Cherry

Am I the biggest fan of Nicollette Sheridan? Nope. I'm not even a fan of her at all actually. However, I don't think it is ever right for a guy to hit a woman and Marc Cherry and ABC have admitted Marc hit Nicollette. Yesterday she said it was a very hard slap and that she was humiliated and embarrassed. Well yeah, it happened in front of everyone and she demonstrated on her attorney yesterday what it was like. Marc and ABC say it was a light tap. Whatever it was, as soon as Marc was cleared by ABC he fired Nicollette. They owe her and I hope ABC loses.

  1. There have been many women (and men, come to think of it more men than women) that have made me want to slap the hell out of them. So much so that I am pretty sure my palm was sweating in anticipation and my blood pressure was on the rise. Did I slap them? No. Even if "they have it coming". Because you just don't hit people, especially in a work invironment. I hope she takes him to the cleaners.

  2. I hope she wins too. And gets a huge payout that will actually be felt by Cherry and ABC.

  4. Exactly what @Big Mama said (so humorously!) He acted like an entitled toddler, and I hope he has to pay her big.

  5. ^^Agreed wholeheartedly. And who cares if it was "a light tap"??? Does that mean they're actually trying to claim that it's okay to smack your employees in the face if you do it gently?

WTF is the matter with these people.

  7. Agree with all the above. I hope she wins big.

Marc strikes me as the kind of guy who couldn't get the pretty girls to even look at him in HS, much less date him. So now he creates a show where he as total control over some pretty women. When one fell out of line he didn't like it and retaliated on her physically. At least that's my view on it.

  8. Bullshit. She doesn't deserve anything.

  9. Disney will destroy her.

  10. I like her for following thru. And what bigmama said. Girl power!

  11. Both of them really rub me the wrong way. If what Cherry said is true, about him slapping her to demonstrate how she was supposed to slap someone in a scene (after she repeatedly did it wrong), then I think she's just being litigious. But if it's not true, or if there was malice involved when he did it, then I hope he/ABC pays. I don't really trust either of them, so I have a hard time believing what either of them says.

  12. I'm so tired of men beating women and getting away with it. I don't care if the abuser in question is a dimwitted teenage R&B "singer" or a portly and effeminate showrunner of an overrated primetime soap.

I'm sure Marc Cherry is wealthy enough to have hired a squadron of powerful lawyers who are skilled at making women in Nicollette's situation look like simpering, ridiculous liars, though. I'm not optimistic about this case ending well.

  13. Agree with BigMama.

@ Patty- I believe Cherry is gay. But still. Bully, of course.

  14. Seriously, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to put a hand on another person, I don't care how slight. Pay up, ABC.

  15. one day ,i did this http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x26crw_bagarre-au-bureau_fun
literrally and i have no regret. When someone hassles you whereas you says him to stop and he continue just because he likes to hassle people to see until you can react and your colleagues say nothing, you need to react badly. Now he's less pain and the ambiance at the office is more quiet

  16. slapping is humiliating.
he had no right to TOUCH her, even if she was being a total cunt.

  17. Team Nicollette she stood up for herself and other actresses who get treated like shit by directors, producers, networks.

Even if it was a flick on the head it was wrong. Good for her.

  18. I hope she wins. I have heard only the nicest things about her from "little people" - florists, caterers, etc. - which to me means she's a good egg.

  19. She's brave to go here. I doubt she's in the wrong if the cast has agreed to testify on her behalf. Might have gone differently if the show wasn't already done.

    Agree w/BigMama.

  20. A light tap is still wrong, and MC should have settle out of court. He would have if he thought he did anything wrong.

I don't think it's ever right for a woman to hit a man either though Enty. Other than the obvious self defense reasons for either gender.

  21. wow, FrenchGirl! I could never "approve" but I secretly want a co-worker to do that to a certain person at work! And I would say "it happened too fast" when they wonder why no one tried to break it up....

  22. Good on Nicolette for standing up for herself. This reminds me of Kim Cattrall holding out for more money and the other ladies stepping back from her, of course when she won the battle they benefitted as well, but they were too gutless to take the job on. I am sick to death of strong women being labelled with disgusting names and put-downs. Everyone has the right to be treated with respect at work. Hope she wins big and starts to change the misogynistic culture of show business.

  23. This is the first that I've heard of ABC actually admitting Marc hit her. Disgusting. I'm sure she's probably not the easiest person to deal with, but slapping her? I hope she wins.

  24. I thought the cast was testifying he "did not" hit her. Not sure but I have read that.

I wonder if Nicollette Sheridan will have a hard time finding jobs. Directors, etc may not want to worry about offending her and getting sued.

I am NOT saying "offending" is the same as "hitting." Def not.

  25. I'm sorry, but I have to chime in again. We all know that Hollywood is notoriously abusive, and regardless if you like NS or not, I have to give her chops for going ahead with this law suit. So many people are shit on every day in Hollywood (sometimes literally), but they can't do anything about it for fear of never working again. Believe it or not, NS also faces that situation just for bringing this suit. I really do hope Marc Cherry pays out. You just can't do that and these people FINALLY need to learn that abuse is not cool.
