National Enquirer Blind Item

WHICH D-list star escaped from a Los Angeles drug rehab and headed for the nearest gin mill? The once-promising indie actor was boozing it up until he spotted his angry girlfriend entering the bar, and dashed out the back door!

  1. Was he in rehab? Also, is he Dlist? He's appeared in some high brow stuff and is very talented, even if it seems he's trouble. But good guess.

  2. Michael Pitt is not D-list!

  3. would you consider him BList then? I've seen him in the movie with Naomi Watts (want so much to call it hunger games LOL) and Last Days, but not much else.

I was just saying who came to my mind first. I don't wish it on him, I really like him.

And to me it sounds like the public wasn't aware that he was in rehab. Who else....
I'm so bad on this list thing!
Trying to think of someone else. Mind escaping me.

  4. It's not Michael Pitt (soooo beautiful). He's married and I doubt his wife would be giving him a hard time about drinking. If anything, she'd be right there with him. Definitely not D list, either. He was in the first two seasons of Boardwalk Empire and everyone threw a holy shit fit when he was killed off.

  5. @LynGBH - I still haven't recovered from them killing off Michael Pitt. I never saw that coming - talk about a shock! I agree, I doubt it's him. He's at least B- to a solid B.

  6. NOOOOOO My eyes... They killed off Michael Pitts character from Boardwalk Empire... NOOOO NOO NOOO ..

Sorry, just haven't watched the second season and now I'm depressed :(

Careful with the Spoilers for those of us who do not have cable..

  7. Icecat, I think there is an date in which spoilers no longer apply. I think for TV, it should be 60 days. And since the last ep of Boardwalk was almost 5 months ago...We can talk about it.

And clearly, you have an internet connection. Why didn't you download Boardwalk? Damn, that was the only good thing on TV at that time!

  8. I didn't know he got killed off, either, until a post on here about awhile ago. I was so pissed. Haven't been able to see season 2, don't have cable anymore. LOVE Boardwalk!

  9. Ever since Game of Thrones blew peoples' minds by killing off their protagonist, all the shows want to shock us by killing the "hero."

Michael Pitt did star in the first 2 seasons of B.E., so he's not D-list. As for D-listers in rehab, that's a loooooooong list. Can anyone think of a D-lister with a high-profile trip to rehab who would merit a blind item?

  10. @L: HBO has always killed off their protagonists! Tony Soprano, Bill Henrickson, the entire cast of 6 Feet Under, all before Game of Thrones. That's just what they do on their best shows.

Jimmy Darmody was more of a shock, I think, because he was the character that viewers identified the most with, this young, damaged vet who came back from the war with no real place in the world. Even though he was a killer, he was the one people had the most empathy with.

  11. Well, you can't expect people to not talk about their favorite shows for months because you no longer have cable or did not get the DVD.

    That's silly.

  12. @mwynn13 - Tony Soprano didn't die. The series ended with the Soprano family in a diner and a man (could be a hitman, could be just another patron) walks in. Journey playing.

  13. Ugh, Michael Pitt repulses me. I couldn't watch anything he was on.

  14. I always thought it meant Tony was offed.

Delete the "about" from my previous comment. Ouch. English - not my first language!

  16. I wouldn't call him D-list, but how about Joaquin Phoenix?

  17. @LynGBH Did Michael and Jamie get married? I thought they were just engaged.

Anyway, they live in Brooklyn so why would he be in rehab all the way in LA?

  18. Um, Game of Thrones is a series of books. HBO had nothing to do with the choice to kill him off. It was written that way.

  19. @virginspring

I've heard he recently married her...I could be wrong.

It took me weeks to stop obsessing about Jimmy being killed off. It still bums me out!

  20. Yeah, I doubt I'll be watching any future episodes of Boardwalk Empire. I only watched it because I've loved Michael Pitt ever since The Dreamers. To be honest, the show isn't that great, and Jimmy's storyline was the best thing they had going. Bad move on their part.
