National Enquirer Blind Item

WHICH A-list actress has an entire storage room to hold all the free swag she’s accumulated over the years? The thrifty TV-turned-movie star rented office space in Hollywood that she’s filled with designer handbags, electronics and beauty products that she then re-gifts to friends!

  1. Jennifer Aniston?

  2. I wonder if you could consider Jennifer Aniston an A-list just because of name recognition? Cause I can totally see her doing this, not to be cheap but rather that she doesn't need the stuff and is too busy having fun to buy gifts.

  3. Anniston? and she's right

I'll take those regifts! Hey, if she's not going to use them, why not give them to someone who can??!!

  5. wouldn't it cost more to rent the space to hold it than to actually buy gifts for her friends?

  6. Not when a single handbag can be 5k+ probably.
This could be any of them, they all get truckloads of free stuff. I'll pick Julia Roberts.

  8. I say Meryl Streep. She comes off as cheap, but smart, like that.

Didn't see the "TV" part so I guess it's Brad's ex.

  9. Jennifer A. is the only TV-turned-movie star on the A-list that I can think of. I see no problem with doing this.

  10. Ahh forgot the TV part too. I'll go with Courtney Cox.

Courtney Cox is a tv star, not movie star. Jennifer Anison or Katherine Heigl fit, if Heigl is A-list. She opens movies so maybe.

Regardless, whoever it is, I'll be her friend. Can I just play in that rental space? Then hang out in Eva Longoria's dressing room? That would be the best day.

  13. Meryl Streep has done TV. She filmed a mini-series in the 70s called Holocaust. Her husband was played by James Woods. I don't think this is Meryl. It sounds like Jen. I would do the same thing if I were her.

  14. Did anyone see that Lindsay Lohan interview a few years ago when she took the interviewer into a room just filled with "stuff" and Lindsay was at the time no more than C list....
So just imagine what an A lister gets...it blows my mind..
There was a B- minus actor (film) was renting an apartment in my building last summer....you should have seen the swag that was messengered in daily...flowers, booze, baskets of treats....and who knows what else. I can only report on what was wrapped in cellophane.

This is just a smart move. Any actor/actress who doesn't regift all of the crap they're given on a regular basis is simply doing it wrong.

  17. But if she has a whole storage room filled with stuff, there's far more than she needs to regift? I don't get why people take the swag when they either don't need it or have more than enough to regift - donate to charity, let them sell it and keep the money.

  18. Nothing wrong with giving it to someone who can use it. Sad though that people who have so much get free shit and they rest of us have to pay.

  19. I'd like to be her friend!

  20. I wish I was her friend, and I would not be offended in the least by getting her regifted swag! How awesome!

  21. I'd probably do the same thing if I were in her shoes...

  22. I don't blame her. Sounds like Jen.
It also sounds like she needs to give more gifts if she still has that much stashed. Maybe she reads this column and will send us all a little something. I wish!

  23. I find it odd that she rented office space just for this. If she's A-list, she most likely has a huge house... with ROOMS. The office space is probably for something else.

(Giving too much thought a NE blind... what's the point?!)

  24. jennifer aniston - clue "office space" wasn't that one of her earlier movies??

  25. I'll be her friend. give me some stuff!

  26. Who cares if she regifts. I know she has a lot of $$$, but if it's a free gift she receives and it's going to go to waste, give it as a gift to someone who will appreciate it. If this actress wants to regift an ipod and thought of me to give it too...thank you. That's sweet. I'll take one of those designer handbags off your hands too if you'd like. I'll give you my address and you can mail me whatever you don't want.

  27. Isn't Demi Moore's nickname "Gimme More"?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Why take the stuff if you've no use for it? I dont get it. They can buy whatever they want. To take the stuff, then rent space for it seems stupid.

  29. I'm sure if this movie star is leaving in a mansion, they have a spare room or two or three where to keep this stuff - they wouldn't need to waste money on storage.

Also, fashion items and electronics become passe and/or obsolete pretty fast nowadays, so she'd have to re-gift them very quickly.

I don't see how it makes sense to keep them in rented storage.

  30. ^^^^^^^^^^^

    *LIVING, not "leaving"...

  31. Wish she was my friend! I'd love the regifts! I am surprised I don't see more of this stuff being auctioned off to charity.

  32. Debra Messing? She is ALWAYS photographed with huge armloads of free swag. She has to have somewhere to put it all....

  33. Dear A-list Actress,

I am an awesome friend. Send me purses and shoes.

  34. Mila Kunis. Shes considered A list now. And she is really thrifty. She still flys coach. She lives in an apartment in West hollywood so she probably would need the space.

  35. I kind of love this.

Not sure if she's considered A-list but Jennifer Garner is a big hog at gifting suites.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I don't know, but I think it's sweet that she gives it away, as long as she doesn't claim that she bought it.

  38. office space = jennifer aniston.

    doy.

  39. Courtney Cox was in movies, the Scary Movie ones.
I never turn down a gift given to me. With that said, if I had so much of it I would give it away too. I think it is awesome.

  40. Something makes me think Goldie Hawn. So long as she can prove she only does business out of the office space (as opposed to living there) the IRS will let her deduct the costs -- and she probably owns the building, anyway.

Remember the swag from Madonna's Oscar party this year included a personalized $2,999 Gucci bag. These things pile up.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sorry for typo -- the bag was only $2,000. So basically she has a gift-wrapping suite like Candy Spelling's -- just in a separate building, not her home.
