Lady GaGa Is Going To Stop Talking To Press
I don't think she is actually capable of it, but Lady GaGa says she is finished talking to the press and giving interviews for the foreseeable future. I think it is great for her if she does not talk because she is over saturated at this point. Not as bad as six months or a year ago, but put some mystery back in your life. I also think she should give up on always wearing a costume in public. They lose their shock value after awhile. Bring them out on special occasions. Of course Lady GaGa said all this while being interviewed by Oprah last night on OWN. I think she does crave attention though so I think you will still see interviews with her within the next two months.
Smart move she's become a joke...
ReplyDeleteMISCH - do you still want those recipes? Let me know - I have two.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a PR manipulation. She won't do interviews and then in 4 months (which is at least a year to the general public in celebrity time) she'll be doing a heavily marketed "exclusive" interview for her Born This Way foundation. It'll be good press for her new foundation.
ReplyDeleteGaga is no joke but like many stars who become popular fast, she became over-saturated. She seems to have stepped back a bit as of late, and that will help. Absence making the heart fonder and all that.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I love Gaga. I don't necessarily like all her songs but I think she's incredibly talented, can sing, dance and write her own music.
ReplyDeleteI don't find her too over-saturated as there are really only pictures of her when she's going somewhere. It's not like the paps are there when she does her 'Bucks run or walks a dog or any of the other inane every day things that keeps all the Jessicas in the photos.
Is that her mom with them? She's very attractive.
ReplyDeleteI don't find her to be over-saturated either, personally. I'm going by a lot of people traveling the typical "UGH, so sick of her!" road with Gaga. The same thing is happening with Adele.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't bother if the person is in the spotlight for their work. Crazy costumes, tea cups, all that? Part of Gaga's onstage persona. I find it interesting, but that's me.
For some reason I can't get jazzed about GaGa either way. Never have.
ReplyDeleteBUT I do respect her talent, which is elusive to tons of other "stars" and "artists"...
I mean, you can't even call a band a "band" these days! For so many of them, they're not (really) singing, they're not putting pencil to paper to write their own music or lyrics, and no one touches an instrument to actually play the GD "music."
ReplyDelete"Artist" is such a lame way to describe some of the mumbling, posing twits and twats lip-synching to electronics these days.
Lord, I sound old! But some of the music scene nowadays is just stupid.
Go ask a real musician like one of the Ohio Players, or their ilk, what they think about today's "artists."
(off soap box now)
I like her music but I hate the fact that she tries too hard to shock everyone. Only shocking thing left to do would be act normal.
ReplyDeleteThis is a calculated move on her part, and yes I think she means it. BTW, she isn't saying she will never do an interview again. She said she won't while she just doing the tour, so yeah she'll be doing another interview with Oprah in 5 or 6 months.
ReplyDeletelada gaga will always find a reason to start talking again to the press. she will wither away and die w/o it. back in the day, believe it or not, madonna actually had alot of mystery surrounding her, as she didn't talk to the press or do talk shows often at all. no one quite knew who she was then.
ReplyDeletelady gaga making that proclamation is like someone deciding to go on a diet after they gorged themselves.
and who wants to hear from her mother anyway? who cares what her mother has to say? apparently the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Surfer....someone sent me an old Polish recipe I'm going to see how it is....it really looks good.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much...
I bet we all could do a fantastic cooking blog...
Take that Goopie...
WHAT??? A celebrity craving attention? I don't believe you.
ReplyDeletethat is her mom, I initially thought it was Gaga, Oprah and Barbara Walters.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a smart move. Everything is so over the top with her and over saturated.
ReplyDeleteGo take a year off, go follow your actor boyfriend around 'ala LeAnn Rimes and enjoy yourself with 20,000 vacations in one year.
Then come back with some real music that isn't a rip off of Madonna.
I think the internet has removed the mystery off most everyone. Back in the day you could have mystery but that was pre-TMZ.
ReplyDeleteis this like Amanda Bynes saying she's retiring from acting ... 4EVER!?
ReplyDelete*eye roll*
i wish she would just shut up and go away. period.
I totally agree about the overexposure and wearing costumes. Yawn.
ReplyDelete@selenakyle, high fiving you from Australia.
ReplyDeleteI was startled when I finally heard a recording of hers; she's a terrific performer. But for me the bizarre costumes and overdone shtick are complete turnoffs. And an horrific expense to her production budget. Time to hustle some nice Marc Jacobs gowns, dearie.
ReplyDeleteOver saturated? Not like Adele. Give me Gaga any day.
ReplyDeleteI think she will use the time to pull a Madonna and reinvent herself.
ReplyDeleteTHEN she will gve an interview to Oprah or Barbra Walters and say she is gving up the outrageous so it is more about who GAGA is as a genuine person not a persona. You know some nauseating claptraplike that.
In the words of Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham, "Do you promise?"

ReplyDeleteMisch, what old Polish recipe??
ReplyDeletereno Blondee, I agree, her mother is attractive and younger looking than Gaga.
Agree with the entirety of this post & I love GaGa.
ReplyDeletePraise Jesus!!
ReplyDeleteI really liked her when she emerged. The stuff was dancey, it had a gay-NYC vibe, it was fun. Then she went through that horrible plunge into whatever she plunged into, and there was the nonsense about how America only wants to see people fall apart, etc. And then she started imitating Laura Branigan? And then she put out that horrible "Edge of Nowhere" and "Born this way, I was born this way, I'm using Crest Strips baby I was bo-horn this wuh-hay, muh-haha," and I checked out. I heard five seconds of that "Marry the night" song and was kicking at the radio to try to stop it. Plus, she doesn't have a lot to say anyway. She's a drug user in her early 20s. Give her a few decades.
