Jermaine Jones Tweets His Goodbyes To American Idol
Jermaine Jones Tweeted that he was leaving American Idol. He did not go into the reason which is tough in 140 characters, but he also must have made Idol producers angry because the Tweet was deleted. They like those kinds of things for themselves to boost ratings and to give Ryan something to tease other than his hair. However, it said, "Awww I will no longer b on the show."
TMZ had reported that Jermaine lied about his criminal past and probably assumed that a billion dollar corporation would never discover his recent arrests. All you have to do is say you have been arrested and they will let it slide. Probably. His most recent arrest was for a violence related crime and he has other warrants so maybe they would not have let it go and he would not have had his 15 minutes of fame.
I also heard on the radio this morning that he had said his dad wasn't in his life ever. Well, dear old dad called Idol and said that was BS.
ReplyDeleteYeah we'll see if the Dad still stands by that now that this news is out. The way TMZ reported the Dad story bugged me -- it's entirely possible the dad hadn't been in the son's life for years and years and only popped back up, stalker-style, on the set, when his son was on American Idol. Why the fuck would Jermaine otherwise alert producers (he didn't make a public fuss), especially if he himself has a record and presumably could take care of the situation himself.
ReplyDeleteSo he's not the "gentle giant" they painted him as?
ReplyDeleteI love that instead of taking off a w on the awww, he cut the two letter word 'be' in half. I hate tweets.
ReplyDeleteNY papers say he gave a false name when arrested each time.
ReplyDeleteHis dad said they had dinner together the Thursday before the story came out that he was not in his life. LOL
ReplyDeleteToo bad, nice baritone voice. Really, really bad decisions, multiple arrests, different name every time, one arrest for violence.
ReplyDeleteHe said dad left them ten years ago, the dad says he's always been around.
I'm quite surprised by these specific allegations, but he did seem a little 'touched' to me... not quite all there.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they'll bring back the person that was ousted last week? Can't remember who it was, as I've taken to drinking a bit to much while watching the my recorded shows.
@Twisted -- (playing devil's advocate) -- the father's "had dinner together" could be him eating at McD's while texting his son elsewhere. People determined to keep their hooks in their targets will say *anything* to stay in the picture.
ReplyDeleteAwww...he was my favorite. I thought he was a gentle giant. So much for that. So sad now. He was the only one I liked on the show.
ReplyDeleteThey'd better not bring back Jeremy! The dude has already been kicked off the show twice; it would be really sadistic to make him go through it a third time!!!
