Celine Dion Taking A Four Month Break Due To Illness

For those of you who bought tickets to see Celine Dion in Vegas between now and June 9th, you might want to get your money back because she is not going to be there. She is canceling her shows for the next three months because of strained vocal cords. She says that she had no control over her voice.

  1. Wow. I never thought I would say this, but Celine Dion looks super hot from the waist down.

And that leg! A-Jo: THIS is how it's done!

  2. Hard working lady - shit happens I guess. Goes to show she's not lip synching! (as if Celine would need to)

  3. Yeah, super hot dress

  4. Can't hate on her. Hope she takes it easy.

  5. now, she needs to keep that leg bent and twist it a bit to the right and Voila! Instant Jolie-ing.

I like Celine, mostly cause she encourages Kathy Griffin to make fun of her.

  6. Yeah...she's got a rockin body. I personally think Celine (as cheesey as she can be) is one of the best singers ever.

  7. I wonder if she's looked into allergies as the culprit. They usually attack you where you're most vulnerable. I use my voice for work, and lost it a few times before I got the allergies under control.

I agree, she looks great and has an awesome voice.

  8. Off Topic, there is a fantastic article on Pitt & Jolie at

    bohomoth.com

titled CELEBRITY x PUBLIC HUMILIATION : NOW SH'ES AN INTERNATIONAL LAUGHING STOCK HOW LONG UNTIL BRAD LEAVES ANGELINA ?

It is truly a must read...

  9. I saw her Vegas show a couple of years ago and she was awesome and I'm not like a rabid fan or anything. She definitely entertains.

From what I've read she's always taken very good care of her voice. Caesar's built the Colossium just for her and I thought she had purifiers and humidifiers to protect her voice from allergens and the dry desert air.

There is a horrible virus going around and the hospitals are full in my area. I hope it isn't something more serious for Celine.

  10. MISCH,

Read that article and I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE it ;>! The writer hit every nail right on the head. And yes her implosion will make Demi Moore's just look like a bad day.

  12. She's cheesy (saw her Vegas show years ago under duress, oy), but from all reports is just a lovely person, and is especially beloved by everyone who works with her on her show and her household staff, so I like her for that. Best wishes to her!

  13. @MISCH - I think I need to send you a Thank you basket, that article was awesome! I haven't laughed that hard in days

  14. Ah BigMama...
    Thank you

  15. @MISCH- Omg you made my day with that link. I had never heard of that site, but have it bookmarked now!

Now, about Celine, I love her. She strikes me as a class act. She is the kind of artist who believes that if someone pays to see her sing, then they should get their money's worth. And, if her voice is suffering, then she would rather cancel than give a poor performance. Very professional.

  16. I'm not a fan as I'm not into her type of music. But I respect that she's so sincere, hardworking and talented. Hope she recovers.

  17. That article about angie and Brad was extremely raw. I so very much hope its not true, that shes ok, that they stay together always. But wow. That article hits home.

  18. On Celine I think the fact that she grew up so poor and understands what it is to work and how important seeing her is to her fans, she doesn't take any of it for granted.

  19. Brad Pitt is the master of spin, he has been controlling their image since day one easier for him to do in the U.S.A than abroad.
There have also been other blinds about him being restless in the relationship. The worse things get between them and we'll see more Angie craziness , if things are good she'll be able to hold it together. My mom has said from day one that Angie is carrying a lot of guilt about her relationship with her mother. I believe it, its a lesson to all of us we need to make peace with the people we love while they're here with us.

  20. MISCH are you confusing Angelina and Jen? Angelina supposedly adored her mother and never had a rift like the one she's had with her father. Jen on the other hand, disowned her mother.
In other Angelina news, I had to laugh when I saw this:
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2107836/Angelina-Jolie-right-leg-pose-Copy-Jennifer-Anistons-red-carpet-display.html
Turns out Jen wore a nearly identical dress in Jan 2010, and in my opinion was a knockout in it.

  21. @Misch and others...Yeah, yeah, yeah..She's right. Angie was once my girl crush too...And Brad my crush as well. But how much is real or conjecture? I mean Angie didn't have 6 kids when they got together, they had what, 3? And they added on their own as time went by. Don't peg me a Brangalooney by any means and I LOOOOVE the site. It WILL be bookmarked but it does kinda sound like all hater stuff which is fine and good..Just not sure of how much is real and true. It WAS a good read though. No doot aboot it.When the implosion happens you can all go neener neener to me. Color me skeptical.

Gotta go and read the stuff on Lilo cuz that shit really is real. And oh how wonderful it would be to find her(his?) opinion on Lizard and Peepaw..

  22. Princess...you will be shocked when you read about Angie and her mom, it's a shame she wasn't as caring while her mother was alive.

  23. I just thought that whole article was terribly sad--I can't laugh about someone who's so damaged that she don't even have any close friends, and he sounds like a real piece of work on his own. Whatever the true story, and whatever happens in the future, I do hope they can both behave like civilized adults and work together for the sake of their children--there's no damn reason the dysfunction has to extend into yet another generation if they both put on their big-kid undies and do what's best for the kids.

And, getting back on topic, while Celine's music really isn't my style, after hearing enough about what a kind person she is, esp. to her employees, I've decided I like her; here's hoping she's feeling much better and back in full voice soon! (Psst, Celine, we've got this really kickass doc at Mass General--ask Adele about him sometime...)

  24. Celine Dion singing The Prayer with Andrea Bocelli seriously gives me chills every time. Hope she recovers.

Now, I'm off to read about Brangelina....

  25. I'm going to Vegas in April and I'd actually contemplated going to see her.

Sad for her. Hope she recovers.

  26. I do have much respect for Celine. I would see her show in Vegas although her music isn't really my thing. I think it would be a fun show. She's a professional.

MISCH - That article is probably very close to truth. She is spot-on about Brad I'm sure. He's not the good guy we all want to believe he is. Those twins are going to have some serious problems. Good luck to Shiloh!
