BuzzFoto Blind Item

This A list actor, probably one of the biggest names in the biz, has an unusual hobby. He loves to attend drum circles in his local town. He goes at least monthly, if not more and loves hanging out with the people and enjoying the music and the community.

  4. Or even Brad Pitt.

  5. And he also enjoys smoking lots of weed.

  6. Does he bring his own bongos?

Anyone else enjoying this light hearted blind after the past week's more hardcore fare?

  8. I know this is probably Matthew M. but I would love for it to be Robert De Niro. Can't you just see him walking in the door with a set of bongos saying "I can out learn you, I can out think you, I can out philosophy you, and I'm gonna out last you.....on the bongos!"

    @BigMama
You just made my day with that image.

    ReplyDelete
  11. @Kid Sis, I read about that. Huh.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Is Mathew M really one of the biggest A lister's in the biz?

    ReplyDelete
  13. It's Brad. Read somewhere else that he plays in a circle on occasion.

    ReplyDelete
  14. @Kid Sis - I would like to think it was just a conflict of interest that it was recast and not because of all the hoopla

    ReplyDelete
  15. This is not even blind. Matthew M. is well known for doing this.

    ReplyDelete
  16. One of the biggest names in the biz, leads me to think Brad Pitt?

  17. Guess the other BI's were too hot and now we're down to obvious and sweet ones? I feel so cheated!

  18. I can see BP at a drum circle, but I don't want to.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Brad Pitt immediately came to mind-and I always go with my first instinct.

  20. lol @ EmEyeKay

i must be naive, but WTF is a drum circle? you don't want to know the visual i have in my head.

  21. I know this isn't Keanu, but I wish it were!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Brad Pitt generally looks scraggly enough to join in a stoner drum circle. I doubt that very many of them would even recognize him.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Dunno why I thought of Tom Hanks.

IIRC he likes the weed, which seems to go hand-in-hand with drum-circling.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Raven, I'm not going to tell you, It's WAY more fun trying to figure out what YOU think a drum circle is!

    ReplyDelete
  25. One of the biggest names in the biz does not bring Matthew to mind for me. I'll go with Brad.

    ReplyDelete
  26. My immediate thought was McCaunahey (sp), Woody Harrelson, or Owen Wilson. However, the "biggest name" bit totally sells me on Pitt.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm going with Brad in Congo Square on Sundays when he's in New Orleans. The family is in New Orleans right now, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Remember, it's a Buzz Photo BI, not Enty's.

@Kid Sis: Do you know the timing on when that happened?

    ReplyDelete
  29. How about Bill Murray? He is known to hang with the general populace.

    ReplyDelete
  30. @Kid Sis - I saw that last night and thought the exact same thing. Hopefully, like BigMama suggested, it was just a conflict of interests.

    ReplyDelete
  31. You all have never heard the nickname McBongo?

    This one solves itself.

  32. Raven, rent The Visitor with Richard Jenkins.

    ReplyDelete
  33. It has to be BP. Drum circles are fun and "earthy", especially if you get to participate.

    ReplyDelete
  34. If it's not Tom Hanks then it isn't very interesting...who does't expect Brad Pitt do join drum circles--?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Totally see Brad Pitt doing this.

  36. many years ago mm was arrested in austin when neighbors called the cops. he was naked and high playing the bongos in the middle of the night. also, austin is well known for the annual birthday party of a beloved aa milne character, which brings out all the freaks in town and they bring their drums. mm went to ut austin as did i.

  37. Is drum circle code word for something else? Like canvas stretching?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Michael Douglas...doesn't he live in the Bahamas?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Kid Sis: Yeah, I thought that too, esp. when that particular project was on Someone Else's IMDB page as of 10 p.m. last night, and was apparently starting very soon. *raises eyebrows*

When you think about it, probably the only kind of person in Hollywood who could survive (in a business sense, and, perhaps, even literally) outing those who Have It Coming would be a well-regarded, well-liked, very popular A-lister--they might have to deal w/a certain amount of crap, but it would be nothing compared to what someone lower on the totem pole would have piled upon them. Maintaining a thinly-veiled anonymity is also helpful if one needs to deny, deny, deny for career/social/legal reasons. (Really, I'd have been more surprised if the rep hadn't said that, and the quibble about "bad writing"? Please...as a former summa cum laude English major, I think I have some sense of what qualifies as good writing, and those writings do. ;-) Still, whoever our friend is, I hope he's being very careful about protecting his assets and his family, and has good people who have his back to protect him from any potential legal or even criminal issues that could be made to happen by those with a lot to lose.

(It's extra-squeaky-clean living for you, my friend, but if it helps keep more kids & young people from becoming victims, then it'll be well worth it, and may God bless you for it.)

  40. Amy, what's canvas stretching?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh, come on. None of you seriously think Himmmm is RDJ, do you? Seriously? Even after his rep said "no fucking way?"

    ReplyDelete
  42. For a while I thought it might be RDJ but then I remembered in an older post Himmmm said something about meeting Liz Taylor at a party and how she told him great stories about old Hollywood. I think he mentioned he was pretty precocious for a 12-year old. (IIFC)

I think RDJ moved to CA when he was 13. Okay, maybe some fudging on the details, but would his father have been well enough known at that point to have friends in common with Liz Taylor?

  43. I'm with Digital Influence on the Pitt guess. He's down there now raising $$ for Make It Right.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yes, what's canvas stretching? When I stretch canvas, I'm... stretching canvas! Never heard of this one.
