Bobbi Kristina Brown is not just dating her "brother" but she is also engaged to him as in they are going to get married. This is twisted. I know they are not related, but even Whitney's mom is calling the relationship incestuous and it really is and is not. They are not related, but Woody Allen and his wife were not related but we all think it is freaky that he basically married his daughter because it is freaky. It is just not accepted. If Bobbi Kristina keeps doing crazy things though it will give us someone to watch other than Lindsay Lohan, so maybe that is a good thing.
Ugh. Now we have a new train wreck to hear about.

I appreciate that she may be seeking comfort and reassurance where she can after the loss of her mom, but marrying him just makes him seem like an opportunist. Didn't they just start dating? I hope she's seeing a therapist to help her cope with her grief and avoid further issues down the road.

ReplyDeleteIf @selenakyle is right, then I will feel bad for her about the being used for $, but if not, this is a guy she's known since 9 yrs old and he was 12 years old... I don't see anything incestuous about this at all. I think it's sweet. It's like that Jane Austen novel Mansfield Park. A girl went to live with a rich family when she was 8 and she and the boy who lived there fell in love and got married when they were adults.
I hope she gets some dental work done on her front teeth before the wedding. She is far from attractive, so my bet is on money being the major motive.

ReplyDeleteI also don't think this is incestuous. That's not the problem. The problem is that he is clearly after the money (why else would you rush to get engaged NOW, right after all Whitney's money was left to BK?) AND he's an enabler. Those are the bigger problems here, that's obvious.

It seems like Whitney's family were always on the gravy train helping to spend her money & they did not want her gayness to come out (either because of religion or keeping her image intact to make more $$). She was forced to break it off with her longtime girlfriend & marry Bobby, which resulted with them having their daughter. She never had a chance with all that going on then add to it her parents' substance abuses & all the hangers on just using her mother for money. Really sad. Maybe this guy is offering her love & acceptance & security.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I don't think it's creepy that Woody Allen married Soon-Yi; they never even lived in the same house and he did NOT adopt NOR parent her. Secondly, neither Enty nor I know what BK's relationship with what's his name is like so I can't say anything. Thirdly, Cissy Houston is of a different time and thinking like the old lady she is. Maybe if she'd spent more parenting her own children, then I probably wouldn't be typing this.

Personally, I think 19 is too young to be married but it's her life and she will either grow up real fast or stumble and learn from her mistakes. Hope she finds some peace in her life.

Long time viewer, first time poster. This is 100 varieties of wrong. If you had a brother who was adopted, he is still your brother. The law sees him as your brother, your parents see him as your brother. Now I know that Whitney never legally adopted him but he lived with her from the time he was 12 and she referred to him as her son. If Whitney thought of him as her son, then you can guess that the family did including Bobbi Kristina at some point in time. If you lived as friends, whole different issue. But the mother that of him as a son not a friend for BK but as her brother. Yuck.
ReplyDeleteI think if you're taken in as a "son," and referred to as a "son," and you live half your life financially supported and accustomed to a certain lifestyle, and then find out YOU'RE NOT IN THE WILL.....that's got to be a hard pill to swallow. If they were both teenagers at the time it's possible that they were attracted to each other right off the bat and have been having a relationship since then. In which case, it's not that creepy, really. And she does look really happy in the picture.
