Bobbi Kristina Gets All Whitney Houston's Money
In about two years, Bobbi Kristina will become a very rich woman. She will probably also have her dad following her around with his hand out. Whitney's will leaves everything to Bobbi, but she cannot get the money until she is 21. Hopefully in this time span she can get clean so she does not waste her mom's fortune on booze and drugs. You know, kind of like her mom.
I thought Whitney didn't have any money?
ReplyDeleteNow that Whitney has died and her music is selling again, I'm sure Bobbi will get plenty of money.
ReplyDeleteKind of like what happened with Michael's kids.
She probably had life insurance, too.
ReplyDeleteI really hope that I am proven wrong on this, but that girl is going to crash and burn. We're all going to be saying "Poor BK. She didn't have a chance with two addicts as parents. So sad".
ReplyDeleteWow, obviously should have woke up before typing... of COURSE she'll have a ton of money now! I read somewhere that iTunes (?) had jacked up the prices of her songs for a few days (then repriced them).
ReplyDeleteI'm out of coffee, I'll blame it on that. Jeesh!
If she can surround herself with good financial/business advisers, get counseling for her grief and other issues, she should be able to live a comfortable life. I am sure that her father is the least of her worries.
ReplyDeleteI think Whitney not having any money is a lot different than you or me not having any money. If I don't have any money, my wallet is flat and I'm worried about the automatic payment to the phone company coming out of my account. Whitney not having money would be that she was down to the last million or so.
ReplyDeleteI wish the kid would use some of it to get her teeth fixed.
I second the notion of dental work!

DeleteShes actually gaining access to some of it a 21, more at 25, and the rest at 30. and its all of her assests so yea therell be alot of cash flowing in
ReplyDeleteShe better make it last, Whitney didn't write songs, she has no ownership of most of her songs, so it's going to be way different than MJ. To make any real future money they are going to have to release DVD's of concerts or something.
ReplyDeleteSo after everyone is paid back, the record company advances, clive, and who knows how many others...Bobbie can get braces.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes it pisses me off that Whitney didn't care for her properly .
I'm happy she doesn't have access to the money now, maybe she can get clean.
I know plenty of people who do not want straight teeth. It's not a big deal to 'em.
ReplyDeleteSyko, I keep saying that about the rich being so called broke. Whitney in her heyday could have demanded a very small percentage of the songwriting royalties just because she sang the song. A few songwriters may have agreed believing that the song will be an instant hit. Russian Roulette, but it does happen.
A tax-free life insurance policy on her is more than likely in the millions.
ReplyDeleteHer papi needs AA and should continue to work. He's not elderly and can take care of himself.
First off...I thought Whitney was broke...as in, in debt broke. Second, Bobby Kristina will most likely throw it away on drugs.
ReplyDelete^^^Debtors cannot touch life insurance policy payouts and lottery winnings for the matter.
ReplyDeleteBut can't creditors put liens on property and hit the bank accounts ?
ReplyDeleteHowever Bobbie doesn't owe...and inheritance also can't be touched not even in a divorce.
To recycle from another post:
ReplyDelete"dysfunctional people breed dysfunctionality"
Tune back in two years for more on this developing story...
Or three years? Whenever she turns 21...
ReplyDeleteI like the gap between her teeth, it adds character. I really hate those chiclet veneers everyone is sporting these days.
ReplyDeleteI thought Whitney owed Clive buckets of $$$. That debt would need paid out 1st.
ReplyDeleteBroke by 23, dead by 24. She will be at the top of my dead pool list for the forseeable future (Not sure if she qualifies for dead pool, since she isn't technically a celebrity herself)
ReplyDeleteHer teeth are straight just with a gap.
ReplyDeleteHowever if I had a mom who looked like that and I came out looking like Bobby, somebody would be getting smacked.
Lia - I hope you are right!
ReplyDeleteI would hate to think about her coming into all that money at 21 and then blowing it all. I hope they set up the trust (?) so that she gets X amount per year.
I know it's unfair, but I just HATE it when people have gaps in their teeth and don't get them fixed, especially when they have the money to do so. It just looks stupid and hillbillyish.
ReplyDeleteOh, and no way does this kid make it to 25. All of the money will go straight up her nose.
Firstly, any advances from Clive etc have to be paid off in after tax dollars. Allowing for agents and other expenses the Whitney estate probably has to earn two dollars to pay off one dollar of debt.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, if she was worth anything, the will doesn't appear to have any real estate planning. Consequently, after paying off the debt, the estate will pay 60% or so in estate taxes again, all paid in after income tax dollars).
Thirdly, any insurance policies payable to the daughter would go directly to her tax free. Any insurance policies payable to the estate would be subject to estate taxes. A situation might arise if Whitney pledged any insurance policies to Clive et al to support loans.
What I found interesting was that the will specifically excluded Bobby Brown and it was drafted in 2001. That would be 5 or 6 years before he and Whitney divorced.
ReplyDelete@Jenn719, not unusual, Bobby had other children, if she left the assets to him they could be used to help children that weren't Whitney's.
ReplyDeletethey are reporting that the estate is worth about 20 million...
ReplyDeleteI love gap teeth. It runs in my family, so my uncles, cousins, etc, all have the gap. Some have gotten theirs fixed, but I don't see why. A gap is a gap... it doesn't make a person any less attractive. It's not like a gap is the same as crooked yellow teeth. Fyi: I had a small gap growing up, but it corrected itself as I got older. Anyway, I think we should love the things that make us unique instead of trying to look like everyone else! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope she turns it around & can live a healthy life. Would be too sad to waste her life away as well.
ReplyDeleteI've got a gap. Too poor growing up to get braces. When I discussed being an adult with braces with the Hubby, he vetoed it. "I love your smile," he says. "That imperfection makes you perfect to me." That man makes my heart melt.
