Your Turn
Something very simple today. Plain or peanut M&M's? See, for me I would probably choose the peanut because I feel like they are larger. However, if you asked me Mounds or Almond Joy I would go with Mounds because I feel the almonds get in the way. Hershey's with or without almonds I am picking with if it is a big bar, because otherwise it is just endless chocolate. If it is just a Kiss though, I am going with the plain. So, when it comes to your chocolate or you a nuts or no nuts kind of person?
Almond M&Ms. Or peanut, but almond is better.
ReplyDeleteI'm a girl
ReplyDeleteNo nuts
No nuts for me either! I prefer plain chocolate...although I have been known to enjoy a bag or two of the pretxel M&M's.
ReplyDeleteLove them both, but of forced to choose, I'd have to say PEANUT!
ReplyDeletePRETZEL M&Ms
ReplyDeleteBut if my only options are peanut and regular, I'd have to go with peanut. I love the sweet and salty.
Yeah. "pretxel".
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna ditch the M&Ms in favour of some Smarties. Way better ratio of crunchy candy coating to chocolate. Plus the candy is flavoured!
ReplyDeletePeanut M & Ms, Almond Joy, Hershey's with Almonds. I also like Peanut Butter M & Ms. And now I'm hungry.
ReplyDeleteCaramelo's, Lindt Truffles and Twix for me
ReplyDeleteI've got to have me some nuts. They make the chocolate taste better for me.
ReplyDeleteExcept in dark chocolate. I like that plain.
Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't!
ReplyDeletePeanutBUTTER M&M's. Divine.
ReplyDeleteNo nuts. That includes coconut.
ReplyDeletePrincess I was about to say the same exact thing!
ReplyDeletePeanut M&M's! Gotta have the protein and salt with the sugar.
ReplyDeletePeanut M&M's
ReplyDeleteEither Mounds or Almond Joy
Hershey's with almonds but would not turn away a solid
Plain kisses
Peanut M&M's or none at all. I don't really like M&M's or Hershey products in general. I know, it's unAmerican! But I prefer Lindt chocolate if I'm having chocolate. I'd really rather Jelly Bellies. True.
ReplyDeletePEANUT BUTTER M&Ms.
ReplyDeleteBoth.
ReplyDeleteNuts, no nuts, who cares so long as there's chocolate?
No nuts to ruin my chocolate. I love See's candy....so glad to be back living on the west coast where I can get it regularly. If not See's, then I go the Cadbury route.
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for chocolate truffles, the kind they sell at Whole Foods. And The Dangerous Stuff, a type of toffee at Whole Foods. I try to stay out of there! Raspberry yogurt pretzels. I know, I know, it wasn't even a choice. None of that has nuts. I guess I really don't like nuts with my chocolate.
ReplyDeleteI have a serious candy addiction that I am currently trying to fight. I love all chocolate but am especially fond of dark chocolate. So the dark chocolate M&M's are sublime to me. The only Chocolate I won't eat are liquers ones. I hate to mix my vices.
ReplyDeleteWe call them male and female M&Ms.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the male (with nuts) and generally feel that way about most candy...I like chewy and nutty.
Plain is my favorite, but if there are none I'll eat the nut..
ReplyDeletePlain, I like to just enjoy three chocolate without those nuts getting in the way
ReplyDeleteI prefer candies that aren't made of pure crap like M&M's are, but if I had to choose; peanut all the way. If they had dark peanut; watch out!
ReplyDeleteWith nuts please. If you like Almond Joy, and I do, buy coconut ice cream, sprinkle with almond slivers and pour on the chocolate syrup. Yummy.
ReplyDeletepeaut M&M's
ReplyDeleteused them to quit smoking
have the thighs to show it.
Almond M & Ms. Although I like the coconut flavored ones too.
ReplyDeletehoosierladay, LOL.
ReplyDeleteI'm quitting smoking and counting calories, except cupcakes don't count, so I am avoiding candy except sugar-free cherry lifesavers and sugar-free wintergreen mints.
I don't know what I'm going to do with the 4 boxes of girl scout cookies that got delivered yesterday!
OH, on topic: peanut m&m's. neither on almond joy/mounds, either on the hershey's chocolate bar.
I'm all nuts, all the time. ;-)
ReplyDeletewhat krab said...
ReplyDeletePlain M&M's.
ReplyDeleteMounds.
Dove chocolates.
@amh.producer - girlscout cookies freeze really really well.
ReplyDeleteI am also quitting smoking, so between no smoking, no candy, excercise and cutting back on alcohol (makes me want to smoke) I am in my own private hell.
damn it, where is my box of ghiradelli?
Plain M&Ms, but no blue ones please. When I was a kid, our Dad used to order 'Male' M&Ms for himself and 'Female' M&Ms for my sister and I at a Restaurant/Bar our family frequented. I asked for 1 male and 2 female M&Ms and an Almond Joy for my Mom located behind the counter of a tiny grocery/penny candy store in my Grandma's hometown. I had no idea why the other customers were laughing, but the party lines were buzzing. Dad thought it was hilarious. Mom didn't.
ReplyDeletePeanut M&Ms - I eat the chocolate part first then eat the peanut. Weird.
ReplyDelete(Also, I eat the head off the gummy bear first, then the body, yup I'm weird!)
I guess no one else here has an allergy to peanuts or tree nuts. I can go into anaphylactic shock if I eat any kind of nut. So, no choice for me: plain M&Ms, plain Hershey's. Must admit I really miss smokehouse almonds....
ReplyDeletefordellcastle, I don't understand why they were laughing either! You're going to have to explain. I'm an immigrant.
ReplyDeleteDon't like nuts, so plain all the way. I also prefer Lindt chocolate. Now I want chocolate and it is 7:30 in the morning.
ReplyDeleteKathy, I'm allergic to tree nuts only (walnuts/pecans) and yes, smokehouse almonds are the BEST!
ReplyDeleteBigMama, good luck. I've also given up drinking for Lent to help the smoking cravings from drinking. Haven't quite added the exercise yet though. I just need to maintain my current weight so I'll get it added but in the meantime, counting calories.
Those mint M&M's that came out 4 years ago to promote that last Indiana Jones were soooooooo good. I ate bag fulls of them all that summer. Then they stopped making them. :(
ReplyDelete70% Dark chocolate, with nuts if available. Can't go back to milk chocolate, once I went dark.
ReplyDeleteEverything is better with nuts!
ReplyDeleteI like the teeny tiny M & Ms. That is all.
ReplyDeletePeanut M&M's, but they cannot be red or blue! Seriously, red and blue m&m's freak me out, they're against nature! :)
ReplyDeletePeanut M&M's are delicious in movie popcorn. Delicious. That is the only milk chocolate I'll eat. Dark chocolate makes me weak. Ever have the Ghiradelli Sea Salt Soiree? Dark chocolate with almonds & sea salt...divine.
ReplyDelete@Dani - popcorn and M&M's are a staple in my house on movie night. I love the sea salt chocolate, Whoot.com regularly has chocolate/caramel sea salt ones come up. I love them so so much!
ReplyDeleteIf we are mixing nuts in my chocolate throw in some caramel and give me turtles.
ReplyDeletePlain then mini m&ms then peanut butter. And when I eat m&ms (and skittles) I take the one with the best M (or S) in eqch color and save them for last. Is that weird? My boyfriend says it is, but I just think its fun.
ReplyDeleteI generally prefer candy w/out nuts--regular M&Ms, Mounds (I also like the darker chocolate better w/the coconut), regular Hershey's bar. I also generally prefer milk chocolate to dark, although semi-sweet is good in a lot of desserts & such. (I have a recipe for chocolate chip cookie dough truffles that made my best friend make noises I never expected to hear from her in front of her dad & stepmom at Christmastime... ;-) Oh, and if you want the ultimate hot chocolate, go to Burdick's in Harvard Square--it's out of this world!
ReplyDeleteCOCONUT M&Ms!!!
ReplyDeleteanything but peanut chocolate as my other half is allergic and will die.
I ALWAYS feel like a nut.
ReplyDeletePeanut, please.
