Your Turn

Easy one today. Which Superbowl commercial did you like the most? The least? I still love the Doritos ad with the dog and the missing cat.

  2. I watched it on an American channel, but only saw Canadian commercials, so I don't know yet.

  3. Hulu has all of them...

  4. The Samsung one. I've had "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" stuck in my head since!

  5. I liked the dog who puts himself on a diet/exercise program in order to get through the doggie door lol

  6. Me too Montana! That was my favorite.

  7. The M&M's one...by far the best, it had me in tears laughing.

  8. I also liked the fat dog who wanted to chase the Volkswagen; that was hilarious. I'm a sucker for anything VW.

  9. I missed most a lot of them but dug the one with Clint Eastwood.

I originally thought you asked which Superbowl did we like and I would have to say 2011.

  10. I too loved the fat dog, what a hard worker.

  11. The Vampire ad was cute, but a) Audi isn't a car designed to appeal to teenagers (are they really trying to change their positioning?!) and b) who buys a car because of the headlights?!

I loved the Doritos ads. Just plain fun, and that blackmailing dog kinda scares me.

The Voice ad with them chasing after Betty White was awesome.

  12. I thought the Jerry Seinfeld one was pretty funny. And I too liked the dog that buried the cat.

  13. I liked the M&Ms one and the VW dog, also kinda liked Matthew Broderick and the CRV

  14. The Doritos ad where the dog buried the cat was made for $20; it was the winner of a contest Doritos had to see who could come up with the best ad for the Super Bowl. The guy who made it won $1 million. Great ad, great story.

  15. I loved the Hulu one with Will Arnett trying to get into the Hollywood sign, with the password being "This is a $3,000 suit! Come on!" Which was a quote taken from "Afternoon Delight", one of the brilliant 53 episodes from "Arrested Development."

Otherwise the husband & I enjoyed the M&M's, Doritos, The Voice (with Betty White) and CRV commercials.

  16. The dog using Dorritos as a bribe was cute.

    Overall though I was underwhelmed.

  17. My favorites are the Acura commercial with Seinfeld, Pepsi with Elton John and the chubby dog who slims down on the Volkswagen commercial. I hated the ad where Honda crapped all over the memory of Ferris Bueller, and the Doritos ad with the big cat-killing dog paying dude off to keep quiet just creeped me out.

  18. The M&M one was my favorite. Btw...anyone else getting tired of Betty White?

  19. I didn't watch. I pretended like it didn't exist and carried on as per usual. Thus, no commercials were watched.

  20. I loved the one with the guy's ego sticking out of his neck. That was creepy in a good way.

  21. The vampire one made me laugh out loud at the bar. Loved the ending

The cat/dog Doritos was cute, but I liked the flying baby Doritos one too

  22. Yes Lori, she's become oversaturated.

You guys are right about the chubby dog!! That commercial was great.

I liked the cheetah commercial too. That dude should have just hopped into the damn cage when the cheetah turned on him (because it couldn't outrun the car)

  23. I was born and raised just outside of Detroit - The Detroit/Clint Eastwood commercial is my fav, hands down.

  24. The vampire one was good and the blackmailing dog was FUNNY - I think that's my fave. The Clint Eastwood commercial made me cry but I was disappointed it was a car commercial.

I liked that the CRV commercial took some of Matthew Broderick's "dead eye" parts out of the commercial. The shorter version is definitely better.

We didn't really watch the game, turned it on for the commercials and halftime show. Housecleaned while they were playing and ran back to the tv when it was ad time.

  25. My favorite was the John Stamos yogurt one. I love Uncle Jessie.

  26. Samsung and the Voice one

  27. Clint Eastwood for president!

  28. I wasn't watching but I did see the The Darkness Samsung commercial and kind of loved it. Because I love that ridiculous band! *L*

  29. I love the Cult so I'd have to say the Budweiser commercial that features a kickin instrumental from one of their better songs-although Flo-rida ruined it with his singing...

    ReplyDelete
  30. My favorite was the "Here We Go" Bud Light commercial where the little dog was trained to bring beer every time he heard that phrase.

  31. The car vampire/car commercial was hysterical.

  32. "I dateasia.com"

FFS, Enty! Give me a fucking break with your advertising lately.

    Offensive much?

  33. not to mention...know your audience! lol.

  34. Favorite commercials:

Pepsi with Elton John, Dog bribe with Doritos, Naked M&M's (hilarious).

Yes, I know its KFF, but this is too funny to wait til March to see. It's the trailer for The Dictator movie that was shown during the Superbowl. Definitely worth the time.

  36. I liked the Audi ad, but I think Audi has the best-looking fleet on the road. Can't buy one, though: won't buy German.
