In a very slow news day, the announcement that Uma Thurman is pregnant is actually a post. I always have a soft spot in my heart for Uma as she is the source for a couple of my all-time juiciest blinds so I always wish her well. I mean like the juiciest of juiciest blinds that have yet to be revealed and she is also the participant in one but not in a bad way just on the periphery. Seriously, when I don't drink at night it is like these words just pop out. The lack of drinking does not seem to help grammar, spelling or punctuation, but some things are improved. Uma already has two kids with Ethan Hawke. This one is with Arpad Busson who is probably not the guy I would want to have kids with, but it is not like she is marrying him, just having a baby together.
Well, good for her.

I love Uma too, have had a major girl-crush on her since Pulp Fiction, but she has a history of a not small coke problem. Her ex is Andre Balacz who now dates Chelsea Handler... she runs in those circles. Gotta wonder what blinds ENTY has that involve her, but I'm now thinking she is the subject of the blind that Lainey did the other day When She Conceived because:

*they were using when she conceived (see coke prob which I bet he has too)
*she needs his access- he is super beyond rich and is one of the principals at one of the largest hedge funds in the world; she has a role on a sh*t TV show that will likely be cancelled soon and hasn't had a sucessful movie in a while. No doubt her life is different financially without him in the picture.
If she is the subject of that blind, I wish her the best and hope she can stay off the blow.

Because around the time of conception, they were both using rather frequently. It’s just what they do together. Besides, she thought she was past the point of another child. I think this is a calculated move on Uma's part. Arpad Busson is VERY rich and her career hasn't been looking so swell. Methinks she's trying to guarantee herself some financial security.

I could see this as being Uma for Lainey's blind. But I don't think that necessarily means they were using drugs heavily and every day. It could mean she was using cocaine, et al., recreationally. Which could still be considered "regular use" but not necessarily in the worst way. I know a lot of people can't believe Uma does drugs, but so many people are recreational and/or functioning drug users. I'm not saying using drugs is okay or it's even possible to use hard drugs responsibly, BUT there's a big difference between snorting cocaine at a party over the weekend--which is nothing new, especially among the Hollywood crowd--and doing so much coke that you end up in a ditch somewhere.
Is Uma coke mom?? I think I need to go back and re-read those blinds. The two juiciest blinds that I can think of are Coke Mom and MV. Hmmmm... time to visit the archives. :)

I don't think Uma is coke mom (I think it's Messing for sure). I think Uma IS the answer to Lainey's blind and probably referenced in some blinds starring Tarantino.

Of all the horrible stories the blinds have told throughout the years, that one really stuck in my mind.
I was shocked and saddened that such a young girl (I believe she was 17 at the time) was already so jaded, so utterly stripped of her innocence, that sex had lost any kind of significance and intimacy, and drugs were just par for the course.
I love hearing stories about women my age getting pregnant! :-)

Audrey, MV is the subject of a long blind item enty posted several years ago and has kept on giving us hints about over the years. My comment was just a joke, as MV is a singer - well, labelled as a singer but according to the blind, didn't actually do any of her own singing.

I disagree with you, tealily. I think Lainey's post re: Uma is nothing short of a reveal. Lainey will never flat out reveal a blind. But she'll make similar references to the blind so people can tie the two together without completely giving it away. I read the Lainey post, and now I'm even more convinced it IS Uma.

Think about it - how easy would it be for them to find someone amazing, tell them they aren't the next American Idol but will be very comfortable if they stfu?

Drug use very early in pregnancy isn't great, but if you clean up right away the baby will probably be OK--I recall hearing about this back when Courtney Love was pregnant w/Frances Bean because she & Kurt were worried about what their drug use had done to the baby. Once she found out she was pregnant, Courtney did clean up her act, and Frances seemed to have turned out reasonably well in that regard. Also, there seem to be plenty of babies whose moms were getting chemo/on antidepressants/any number of problems, and who seem to be normal, healthy babies--the resiliency of babies and children is so amazing sometimes.

I'm glad Uma's happy but I don't trust this Arpad Busson. He has two kids with Elle McPherson and they broke up shortly after the birth of their second child.

You can still recognize her speaking voice, and there was that "untreated" track that leaked a coupld of years ago where she is singing by herself and sounds like CRAP. But it is fixable crap - with autotune.
