Seinfeld Actor In Critical Condition After Suicide Attempt
Daniel von Bargen, who appeared on Seinfeld and so many other good show attempted suicide. He did so by shooting a gun at his head. He fired the gun, but somehow lived and then called 911. Apparently Daniel wanted to kill himself because he has diabetes and the doctors were going to amputate some of his toes and he just did not want to live anymore. He is in an Ohio hospital.
Poor guy.
ReplyDeleteOh no. Beyond awful.
ReplyDeleteThat's horrible. :(
ReplyDeleteHe's one of those actors where you don't recognize his name, but when you see his picture you know exactly who it is.
ReplyDeleteSounds like he's having a terrible time, I hope he recovers and finds his way to a better place emotionally.
This is really sad. I read they had already amputated a leg. Toes were on the other one. Diabetes is a ruthless killer. I hate it!
ReplyDeleteHe was so funny on Seinfeld but was in a very disturbing scene (to me) in X-Files that I think about from time to time and shiver.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry he is having so many trouble. Poor guy.
ReplyDeleteLoathe diabetes. It is such a horrible disease.
ReplyDelete@anita_mark: IF you thought his role on X Files was creepy you should see him in the Clive Barker movie Lord Of Illusions. Frightening!
ReplyDeleteI hope everything turns out well for him and he can use this to turn himself around and be an example for those with this disease. He was fantastic on Seinfeld and Malcolm In The Middle as well.
@Big Mama, I appreciate your comment. :)
ReplyDeleteI wish him the best.
ReplyDeleteSo sad... I loved him in O' Brother and Super Troopers. I hope he pulls through ok.
ReplyDeleteHe was also the officer at Francis' military school on "Malcolm in the Middle". He had an eye patch and a hook hand and loved show tunes.
ReplyDeletesad sad sad
ReplyDeleteSo sad. I hope he has a full recovery.
ReplyDeleteI know how he feels. I have multiple medical maladies and have at times thought of ending it, just get rid of the burden both physical and mental. I'll never do it, but that doesn't mean I haven't thought about it.
This is where I think Dr's should be able to legally do something for someone if the quality of life is too much to bear. Instead, now this guy is still getting amputated plus brain injury's to deal with.
ReplyDeleteOne of my close friends has diabetes and one of my work colleagues. Both are Type 1 insulin dependent. My friend has gone downhill health wise and she is only 1 year older than me at 43. My colleague's father was diabetic and had toes amputated and basically died from complications due to his disease. It can affect circulation, eyesight, kidneys, blood pressure. I had no idea just how devastating a disease this was until my friend started to have issues and I had conversations with my colleague about his dad. Quality of life can change dramatically within a short period of time.
ReplyDeletePoor man. So talented, too. :-(
ReplyDeletePoor guy. He's one of my favorite minor characters on Seinfeld, too. Sad.
ReplyDeleteMy dad died from the complications of Diabetes, horrific disease.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Daniel does not have serious injury from his attempt, it would only add to his misery. I wish him well, and I hope he can come to peaceful terms with his condition.
Come back, Mr Kruger, we love you!!
ReplyDeleteRead about this yesterday. Very sad. :(
ReplyDeleteDid he have a chance to update his Facebook status?
