Mel Gibson Went Out With Petra Ecclestone Again - Didn't Spend $250K on Champagne This Time
Back in October, Mel Gibson and his new bff Petra Ecclestone and her husband James Stunt all went out and spent $250K on champagne in one night even though Mel & James don't drink. Uh huh. Oh, and you read that number right. Of course Petra didn't pay the bill because daddy probably ended up paying it. When you have a house that costs upwards of $50M, then $250K for champagne is not a bad night.
Anyway, the trio went out again this past weekend but kept the bill way less. No one can figure out why the three hang out together all the time. My theory is that Mel wants her to finance a movie because he knows rule #1 when it comes to making movies. Never use your own money. He is about 100 years older than the couple so it would not seem they have anything in common unless she has an in with a bunch of European porn stars. She is from Europe so maybe she is acting as matchmaker for Mel.
I'll serve them champagne out of my ass if they pay off my mortgage and other debts with that insane, affected amount of money.
ReplyDeleteIf someone else was buying it, I'd DAMN sure drink some of it!
ReplyDeleteAlthough, I've had fairly expensive bubbly that is not as good-tasting as Jaume Cristalino--the best cheap champers you can buy here in my neck of the woods. It's actually really good for less than $10 a bottle!
How is that even possible? 125K a bottle?
ReplyDeleteShe got taken. That champagne wasn't worth a penny more than $200,000.
ReplyDeleteBut Mel did finance a movie with his own cash. And made a fuckload of money doing it.
ReplyDeleteWe've got another celebrity tax trouble story in the works. No way do people who don't drink spend $250K in one night on champagne -- an expense they'll likely write off their taxes and attribute somehow to a work meeting. Something's up.
ReplyDeleteI can't get over how much he looks like Mitt Romney. I swear they could be brothers. Anyone else see it?
ReplyDeleteGeorge Lucas uses his own money. Spielberg though, not so much.
I say we "repackage" some Boones Farm in a " pricey" bottle, sell it to these idiots, and pocket the difference. Who's with me??
ReplyDeleteArdleigh is a very clever businesswoman. I'm in.
ReplyDeleteBut how can you even SPEND $250K on champagne in one night? Were they paying for the whole club, or was it just the 3 of them?
ReplyDeleteSheesh, just send some of that my way, so I can pay off my bills and get out of debt--you'll get a lot more bang for your buck, not to mention a nice warm feeling from doing good, eh? :-)
