The Human Hourglass
Thanks to everyone who sent me links and photos to Romanian model Ioana Spangenberg. Is that the best name ever? It is like a James Bond name combined with an Austin Powers name. If Ioana is pronounced I-Wana then it is truly gold. Apparently Ioana has a 20 inch waist but the rest of her is curvy which is why she has been called the human hour glass. She says that for the longest time she felt like a freak and would do or try everything to gain weight but that the waist acts as like a natural gastric band so there is only so much she can eat before she gets full. She also says that when she was younger she could not get a date because only curvy women were getting dates so she sat on her couch trying to eat as many candy bars as possible. You know what? I actually believe her. She is not trying to bs us about her weight or the line about the natural gastric band. I think she is just someone who cannot gain weight and has an attribute to her body that she cannot really change. And why would she want to? She makes a very decent living as model, but only recently got into it at the suggestion of her husband.
