At what point do you give up having children? I think most people would stop when they make child number 20, have a very premature baby and then a stillbirth, but then again you are not a Duggar. I guess if you are the Duggar family you don't take birth control so if you are having sex once a month to try to make a baby, then you still want a baby. The Duggars said they would love to have a 21st baby. Obviously they can do whatever they want, but they went through so much with the birth of their 20th child and it must have been heartbreaking to lose their 21st in that sad of a way. You know what I wonder sometimes? I wonder if Michelle Duggar is addicted to being pregnant. Considering all those crazy addictive things I have seen people do on television, why can't a person be addicted to having kids or being pregnant? Maybe it is not just for the religious aspect, maybe she just can't get enough. If she is addicted, what is she going to do when she cannot physically get pregnant any longer?
Gross! When you have children the same age as your grandchildren it's time to stop. She is officially a peri menopausal woman who should not be having more kids. I think Enty may be right about her addiction. She been pregnant for the last 20 yrs. she has no identity besides this. And now no more TV show. Hmmm.... Maybe it's more about that than anything else.

ReplyDeleteIt is certainly possible she is addicted to pregnancy. Some women (sure as hell not me) feel great when they are pregnant. Their hormones are more balanced and they just enjoy the experience. Not my place to judge. I guess as long as they are able to provide for them and they are ok with it than whatever. I just worry about how she is going to cope when she really can't have anymore. If she is that used to the feeling, it is going to be quite literally painful for her.

ReplyDeleteFrom what I've seen of this family the husband obviously runs the show. He comes off as one of those religious guys that is "head of the household" and has this need to control. Maybe HE needs more kids to boss around, for longer.

I've never thought about that before but the statement is true as in our family. We were a Duggar type family but my mother was the religious controlling parent.
They have to have another kid now that their friends had a baby and have 19 kids.
ReplyDeleteI hope Josie, the little preemie doesn't end up with any long term delays or needs. They need to step off and free those teenage girls who are raising all these babies while mom is pregnant and let them go have some of their own kids.
Michelle loves "babies" once they are not infants, she hands them off to one of her older kids and gets pregnant again.
Excuse me, but they most definitely are hurting people other than themselves and their children. In general, i have a problem with all large families, mainly because of overpopulation and resource issues... things along those lines. And i agree that she probably likes babies and as soon as they can write their name she passes them off
