Courtney Love Listens To Sam Lufti
Last May I read the big long interview in The Fix with Courtney Love and even posted about it, but I don't remember anything about Courtney Love having a relationship with Sam Lufti, the former "manager" of Britney Spears. This is the guy who was in control when she went out of control and shaved her head. Sam is a sober coach now and is really doing a great job with self professed prescription addict Courtney. Sam says the pair are just friends but Courtney's friends say he is all over her and in her business. That won't turn out well. Nothing with Courtney ever turns out well. She has no happy endings. To me that is sad. She also blames most of her drug addiction on her mother, but also throws some blame on Andy Dick and Winona Ryder. They know each other? This new stuff about Courtney is really interesting and they even speak to her mom.
That photo is perfect.
ReplyDeleteCourtney was diagnosed with ADHD at 5 and with schizophrenia at 9. I understand Courtney's mother didn't know what to do with her daughter but since she was a millionaire why did she abandoned Courtney when she had the money for impatient treatment? That's really fucked up.
ReplyDeleteSam Lufti is a smart guy, he knows he only has a chance with mentally ill celebrities. I wish Britney's family wins and he is incarcelated for taking advantage of Britney.
I just read that piece. that is shocking. horrible what frances bean had to live with. luckily, she is still alive.
ReplyDeleteDiagnosing anyone with pretty much anything at age 5 and 9 is just BS. Although I agree Courtney has her problems I think she's more sane than most think. I think Sam Lufti is most certainly a predator and I hope Courtney stays away from him. I hope Frances Bean has a good life. I think she's learned a lot from Courtney and everything she has been through.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, I wonder if this is where she got her "info" about Britney being molested by her Dad or someone else in her family.
ReplyDeleteWhat _-_=_ said. Courtney is really intelligent; troubled for sure but not necessarily crazy. I find her extremely fascinating myself.
ReplyDeleteCourtney Love is a starfucking pathological liar and has been for her entire life.
ReplyDeleteConsidering Courtney is legally prescribed with meds to treat ADHD, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder at 47 and that she was diagnosed at an early age, I believe it.
ReplyDeleteIf you think she's more sane than most think it's because Courtney is more intelligent than the average person. With the right combination of pills the disorder hides and your intelligence is there. No pills and you turn insane, in Courtney's case she turns into an intelligent nutjob. That's a bad combo: mental disorders with intelligent people are a lifetime nightmare. They question every single step of the recovery and treatment, ask for scientific evidence and if they find anything against it they confront the doctors and drive them crazy until the doctor gives up and it's time to look for a new doctor. The treatment is more successful when the patient is one of us average human beings, like Britney.
I feel sad every time I see a picture of Britney, she's dead in the eyes. But she's not hurting herself or others because of the meds. It must suck to have to choose between being sane but like a robot with no feelings, or being a nutjob with feelings.
I wouldn't be surprised if she had any of these disorders but having legal prescriptions doesn't prove to me she does. She can find a bunch of doctors who will write whatever a celebrity wants.
ReplyDeleteShe was diagnosed with schizophrenia when she was 9? I thought that didn't appear until you were in your late teens or twenties.
ReplyDelete@Rose Courtney was taking the meds when she was in probation for drug use. If the court thought it was okay there must be a valid reason behind it.
ReplyDeleteCourtney was diagnosed as a child, has legal prescriptions of schizo/ADHD meds and has the symptoms. I don't know wat else do you need to believe she has lifelong disorders and needs to be medicated 24/7.
@Lady J:it's the first time i hear about a 9 years kid can be schizophrenic also but i know for schizoid kids only

kurt cobain murderer!
ReplyDeleteCourtney has a pretty famous quote that you are no one in the music business unless you've slept with Winona or fought with her. This was especially true back in the 90's...
ReplyDeleteEnty, without reading this article, I'm pretty sure her paths crossed with Winona. Winona had/has a thing for fairly high profile musicians (and actors, too).
What chopchop said. She's the world's greatest salesperson. Her words are always designed to try to elicit sympathy in the listener. She's a master manipulator.
ReplyDeleteGlad Frances ran. Keep running Frances Bean!

Mental disorders are still pretty unknown. Every decade/few years doctors all over the world have a meeting and discuss the new findings. They change the symptoms, add new disorders, quit others. A recent reseach showed most children diagnosed with ADHD in the 70s were actually just bipolar or had a combination of hyperactivity and bipolar disorder. Then some were schizo with ADHD, just schizo, etc.
In the end, the meds used for bipolar disorder can be used for ADHD, schizophrenia and many other mental disorders. It gives you a clue of how difficult it is to find the right combination of meds for each patient.
In the case of schizophrenia, some symptoms are present at 5/6 (children schizophrenia). The patient needs an adult diagnosis when all symptoms are there, but that happens with all the disorders.
Sorry, I can't stand Courtney. I know she's got problems, but it's no excuse for the way she treats people and especially her daughter. The stuff her daughter is revealing about her time with her mother is incredibly disturbing. And Courtney? Using crack didn't make you a "fucking whiz at calculus", it made you THINK you were, you narcissistic jerk.
ReplyDeleteCourtney may be intelligent, but she makes the worst life choices. Sam Lufti is her sober coach? Are you fucking kidding me? He ruined Britney. I feel so sorry for her.
ReplyDeleteBack to Courtney. She makes shitty life choices, then blames everyone else for her issues. So her mom, Andy and Winona are to blame. Maybe if she finally takes responsibility for her actions some day she can begin to heal. Heffa.
Starfucking? Trent Reznor - I'd do him. Billy Corgan - check. Edward Norton - triple check! Julian Casablancas?!?!? I had no idea. But - check. Ted Nugent in 1976 - I'd say check.
ReplyDeleteI just can't blame her. I'd do the same. But hopefully not Fred Durst.
I can't believe I didn't know about Sam Lufti and Courtney. After a search I say run Courtney, run!
ReplyDeleteBritney's fans on the subject:
- Basically, Courtney Love isn't Courtney Love on Twitter, she's none other than Sam Lutfi himself. I'm not here for Sam Lutfi shading Britney on another account like a fucking pussy.
- hes been puppetteering her(meaning courtney) too for well over a couple of years now. why do you think the estate is turned over to her daughter and she's fired every person close to her? divide and conquer his victims its the sam lutfi way.
And Courtney's fans:
- Sam Lufti blocked us her private twitter account (@CBabyMichelle). Now we can't read Courtney complaining about the stupid tweets at @Courtney
- Same with facebook. I sent her a mes because somebody was using her account to contact britney sp journos and we're not fb friends anymore. Who else but sam himself?
RUN COURTNEY! Find a real friend to be your sober coach.
ReplyDeletewas ADHD even a "thing" when Courtney was 5? Not calling anyone a liar but I have a hard time believing that when dyslexia wasn't even mainstream then.
ReplyDelete@jax
ReplyDeleteADHD was a thing in the 60s. Fyi, it was discovered in 1800 and was called Mental Restleness. It changed its name to minimal brain damage, hyperactivity, attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity. Nowadays it's called ADHD and there are subtypes. Bipolar disorder was then known as manic depression. Same disorder, different names.
Courtney had to take Ritalin 3 times during the day. The effects of Ritalin are the same of the effects of cocaine. Only children with ADHD were taking Ritalin back then. So yes, it was a thing :)
I don't think they talked to her mother, I'm pretty sure they took those quotes from much earlier interviews and her mother's book.
ReplyDeleteI reckon Courtney's dad fed her acid when she was little.
Poor Frances. How much would it suck to have a dead father, an insane mother and the whole world feeling sorry for you?
I remember photos of her and Winona hanging out together, both in their slip dresses
