Cory Monteith Throws Party For Friend But Friend Gets Ticket For Loud Music

Cory Monteith has a roommate. The roommate's birthday was this weekend so Cory threw a little house party for him. Some of the Glee cast came too, although probably not the ones who think really highly of themselves and don't do house parties in the Hills. Anyway, at 4:30am the party was still going strong and neighbors called the cops which is also not unusual. Great views, but parties echo like crazy. The police came and Cory and his roommate agreed to turn off the music and end the party, but TMZ says Cory's friend got a ticket for the loud music. Huh? How come not Cory? It was his party. Maybe the police just are big Glee fans.

  1. So I guess Lea Michele wasn't at the party.

Or the police don't give a fuck that it's your birthday and you were the one to answer the door and you live there too.

  3. From all accounts he seems like the sweetest guy ever. That is all.

  4. Corey's a polite Canadian, I'm sure his "aww, shucks, sorry" attitude worked better than what his roommate was saying.

Also I read the party was for a friend (I'm going to assume Darren Chris-cause it's his birthday today) and not the roommate.

  6. Corey seems to be a big sweetie pie.
    I wouldn't give him a ticket either.

Do they have to give a ticket because they were called out? Unless this is a regular thing, a warning would have sufficed since they agreed to end the thing.

  8. That's some birthday present--a ticket!
I guess based on the noise/level time
someone had to be held responsible. We weren't there to know how loud it was, and if there were cars parked all over the place.

  9. Del riser, they don't have to. They can give a warning.

  10. Who knows. Maybe the roommate said it was his party. A ticket's not so bad. It was 4.30 in the morning. Neighbors were plenty patient, and the police could've been out stopping the Lindsay Lohan's and other drunk drivers in LA.

  11. I've been to party's where the cops have been called and everyone usually quiets down and that is the end of it. Never heard of anyone getting a ticket for agreeing to do what the cops ask you to.

My guess it it's like a traffic violation. It's the cop's discretion. If you are polite and weren't endangering anyone (illegal left turn, etc.), they usually just give you a warning.

  13. probably nobody will read this one year later, but i'll say it anyway. So... it was Cory's birthday party, not his friend. That's why some of his costars showed up. Including Lea Michele, his girlfriend back then. I don't know what's the problem in doing a house party! Cory was a canadian simple down the earth guy. That's just who he was. But It's doesn't matter anymore...
