Blake Lively Gets A Restraining Order Against Fan
Some guy named Sergei Mifle has been hanging around the set of Gossip Girl and also harassing Blake Lively's mother so Blake Lively got a restraining order in California against the guy. Well, if he is in New York why would you get the order in California? In their application for a restraining order they say they feel threatened by the guy and that he claims to have a metaphysical connection with Blake and is worried about her mother. I am fearful for celebrities of all stalkers and usually side with them on all these restraining order situations, but I have to say that if the guy fights this thing he would probably win and the temporary restraining order would be lifted. Blake is complaining the guy has harassed her a bunch since February 1st but then says she has been out of the country so I don't get it. Anyway, if it keeps them safe, then I am for it, I just wonder sometimes if celebrities just do it to make a little news.
Blake looks just like her mom....thats you in 20 years Blake...
ReplyDeleteYeah. I don't think Blake will age well. Squinty-eyed sun-worshippers rarely do.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Blake's parents live in California? She's probably trying to keep the guy away from her family. It doesn't seem to be just about her safety.
ReplyDeleteThis is that BV that was just out, about the celebrity making up stalker stories to make herself seem desirable and important...also to generate publicity. Everyone was guessing Halle Berry...but it's Blake. Totally makes sense. I'll try to find that blind item and post if I can.
ReplyDeleteWould someone please explain to me the appeal of Blake? She seems so generic to me.
ReplyDelete@crila, yes please, post blind if you can.
ReplyDelete@Seachica, I watched GG a year ago, maybe three seasons of it, in a couple of weeks. When I began, I thought "oh, that's a lovely girl, she has a rockin' bod, how nice that she's not a waif and she has a genuine smile..." After so many episodes, I was bored of her and a little tired of the expression on her face when she'd walk into the scene. I imagine other people have had the same reaction. Hope that helps!
@ Seachica - I don't get the hype either.
ReplyDeleteUgghhh...I can't find it, but I know I read this BV over the last couple of weeks, and everyone was guessing it to be Halle. In the BV they said something to the effect of soon we would hear about an actress complaining about being stalked or getting threats and she was lying about it for attention.
ReplyDeleteI think her mom looks like Blythe Danner.
ReplyDeleteShe gets the benefit of the doubt. There's no reason not to give it to her. I mean, what's it to some random person to not be allowed to be around or contact someone else who you don't know? But in case she is right, you grant it.
ReplyDeleteThese ex parte orders are only for a short time, and there's always a follow-up hearing where the accuser has to make some case and the accused gets the opportunity to defend him/herself, so if it's completely made up, it'll just fade away.
My guess about the restraining order is that California's laws might make obtaining an RO much easier. I seem to remember that after that one girl (Rebecca Schaeffer??? In a tv show with Pam Dawber) got killed in front of her house by a stalker that California tightened their laws.
ReplyDeleteMost states require an overt threat or physical act that would put a normal person in fear of physical injury before issuing an RO AND they tend to require a relationship between the parties. Otherwise, a stalking order is what you get.
BUT - RO's, due to a federal sponsored act, have procedures for being cross-enforced in every state. There is a multi-state act that I *believe* every state in the country has signed off on for enforcing out of state orders.
So you get it in California where it is easier, claiming legal residency there and then have it registered and enforced in New York.
This is all just a guess though.
Well we can see where Blake gets that need for attention. She looks a bit 'tiffed' at being shown up in the pic.
