The Bates Family Now Has 19 Kids So Got Their Own Show
Gil and Kelly Bates just had their 19th child. The couple who has been on the Duggar version of I have a football team worth of kids is set to have their own show now. Showing that having enough children to start your own country gets you famous, will have their very own TLC show which will debut after the Duggar family season ends. This way you can go months and months of seeing families with 19 kids and seeing how they live because if you have lots of kids, TLC wants to pay you big money as long as you are white or look white. Oh wait, they did have the show about the Cole family. They were African-American and all huge and overweight and the show made fun of them. My bad.
what about this could be remotely interesting?
ReplyDeleteHoosierlady, I think you just found TLC's new logo.
ReplyDeleteIt's time for an Extreme Breeding TV station! Nothing but extreme breeding, 24/7/365. There could be a competition. Kate Gosselin could be host!
ReplyDeleteVicki, I think _-_=_ did!
ReplyDeleteFirst off- The BATES family is totally an apropos name. Everytime I think of the word 'bates' I think of Pyscho, so it fits here quite well lolol
ReplyDeleteSecond- Liberals, you know what we have to do. Everyone drop your pants and get to procreating. For the sake of the future free thinking cool people :-P
Sorry, but Jon & Kate = half Asian (er, isn't he Hawaiian?) family and look it.
ReplyDeleteAll I know is I have a fraction of the kids they have, and I don't drink or smoke or pop pills and I know in God, yet I find myself wanting to nearly kill one of those that I made daily. So how they do it with that personal army of kids, and she still doesn't have a single grey hair, or bags of stress under her eyes, or yell and scream at them, is beyond me. For that feat alone, they deserve at least a pilot of a show. However, I for one will NOT be watching. I much prefer watching screaming lunatics like the dame (Abby Lee) from Dance Moms, who although childless, still screams as I do. That, I can relate to. This, I cannot.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say about the Duggars is, I actually enjoy watching them when I skip along the channels and come across it. There isn't a pretentious bone in any of them and they actually live decently, no government aid, buy everything used/2nd hand, volunteer, etc...
ReplyDeleteI admire a lot of what they do to be honest, not that I ever would or could have that many kids.
But it *is* fascinating to watch. Better than KarTrashians any day.

ReplyDelete^^^That! Omama, I luv you. That's me as well.
(except the drinking part. I love my beer)
And damn, these women make my uterus weep!
LOL@uterus weep
ReplyDeleteOuch!!
I forgot to have children...
ReplyDeleteI thought we had this argument already...being pro-choice also means respecting those that choose to have babies.
ReplyDeleteIf they have the means and the love to handle all those children, well more power to them!
When I happen to catch a Dugger episode the thing I wonder most is if those girls want to wear pants.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Patty. That said, I was a fan of the Duggars until the Jubilee funeral. It's not that I don't think they should have had one -- and who cares what I think even if I did? -- but it seemed so public and creepy to me. Throw in Grandpa's funeral before that and I think fame has gone to their heads and they'll do anything for that show and money now.
ReplyDeleteNow, to me, the Bates family actually seemed fairly cool. I think they actually know who each kid is and appreciate their individuality more so than the Duggars, and up until now they've avoided the spotlight. Now I'm worried for them...
1. Mama Bates resembles Mama Dugger, anyone else see it?
ReplyDelete2. If you want kids and can support them, have'em, but what I want to know, are their daughters allowed/encouraged to attend post-secondary education? Or is their only use their fertility and their uterus?
On of my profs said ( in a very eloquent) way once: Ladies, you are smart and educated, and I hope you all make an impact in the work force, but for the sake of evolution, it would be in societies best interest if you passed your genes onto the next generation. There are enough stupid people having kids and we have to counterbalance them.

ReplyDeleteThe thing is, Patty, they DON'T have the wherewithal to raise all those kids -- JimBob and Michelle simply hand them off to a daughter to raise, and then Michelle pretends to homeschool them. When are any of these girls actually going to have something resembling a life? Never. If you aren't going to be hands-on with a child, DON'T SPAWN ONE.
ReplyDeleteI have nothing good to say about this situation.
ReplyDeleteDeep - I was thinking the same thing. Both couples look VERY similar.
ReplyDeleteI guess as long as people are fascinating with watching large families, TLC will continue to drop this on us. More power to 'em. Raising one kid was more than enough for me!
ReplyDelete"ing" = "ed"

ReplyDeleteThese people are crazy, the only way you can care for so many children is having the older children act as parents, not fair everyone deserves a childhood.
ReplyDeleteEnough already of these shows...
ReplyDeleteI dont watch these shows regularly and cant explain how they could possibly meet the needs of 24 or however many children but if you watch the show you will see that they do.
ReplyDeleteThey follow gender roles and I doubt the kids are very highly educated but they are kind, considerate and more hard working than 99% of modern youth. I dont subscribe to their beleifs but I dont begrudge them. Those kids are a lot better off than a lot of the kids around here.
I'm into these shows which glorify this much breeding, so once again, I'll PASS.
