Anna Nicole Smith Died 5 Years Ago Today

Can you believe it has been five years since Anna Nicole Smith died? We then spent the next six months wading through baby daddy drama and were still reeling from the death of her son right before Anne died. That was a crazy six months. Anna died 5 years ago today at the age of 39.

  2. So sad, she was used abused until her dying day. I can't rememberm what killed her son? The way all of that went down was sooooooooooo strange...

  6. I still think her lawyer killed them both and was double-crossed by her daughter's father.

  7. Still sad today, IMO. I really liked her & was hoping she'd get her stuff together.

  8. You can't be a doormat if you don't lie down. She chose her path. That doesn't stop me from feeling sorry for her a bit. Her little girl is probably far better off away from the spotlight and drugs, though.

  9. I'm glad that circus is over.

  10. Before she was turned into a circus, she's one of the few people who could have played Marilyn Monroe. Same basic looks yeah, but she also had the same vulnerability and sweetness that comes through on camera.

That whole thing was weird and sad, and I hope that her lawyer/pimp/enabler gets whats coming to him, especially if he killed her son.

  11. Honestly, it seems like a lot longer ago than that.

  12. Ms Cool, I honestly don't think Anna Nicole had the mental capacity to stand up to anyone. I really believe she was at least slightly developmentally delayed, making what happened to her all the more sickening.

  13. Five years?! My god, where does the time go. I was at the Waldorf-Astoria in NY, having a blast, I remember my friends and I turning on the TV and seeing it. One of my friends ADORED her (he's gay) and we had to pry him away from the TV set to go out.

  14. @ feisty - Exactly and they both died similarly too. I always felt Howard K. Stern gave drugs to the son Daniel who overdosed which broke his mother's heart and spirit. Howard gave similar meds to Anna and knew she was high was she was pregnant with Danilynn. Even the way Howard acted after Anna died, keeping the daughter away from the father until Howard secured himself as the executor of anna's estate and trustee of the daughter's affairs. He was waiting for Anna's big payday from her ex-husband but that case eventually was decided against Anna (and her estate). Thus Howard gets nothing but so does Dannilynn. What a sad situation.

Yes, we all remember where we were when he heard the news of the death of..... oh Jesus God, I give up.

She couldn't have played Marilyn because she couldn't act.

  16. I think Howard is the killer of Anna Nicole and her son as well. He's an evil guy and say whatever you will about whats his name. At least he fought for and takes care of his child.

  17. I remember this because she died on my 23rd birthday and for the next two birthdays, my friends would all wish me a "Happy Anniversary of the Day Anna Nicole Died" instead of "Happy Birthday" lol

All jokes aside, that whole thing was just another very sad example of over-enabling in Hollywood.

  22. I'm with Rose. It seems like it was more like a decade ago. All that drama that followed seemingly forever after? Sooooo long ago.

  23. It is a shame that that the Lindsey Lohan's of the world do not take this as an example of what happens to out-of-control addiction. So many sad stories that start and end with drugs. Just say no people. Easiest way to quit is to never start.

  25. Five years, huh? Wow. I followed this because it seemed some kind of diversion from the fact that my dad was dying at the same time. Miss you, Daddy!!!!
