Your Turn
As the television season hits the halfway point, I am kind of curious as to what shows you have been watching all season and love because I am always looking for something new to watch. What has been your favorite show? It can be new or old. I am still in love with the Thursday lineup on NBC which conflicts with my Braxton love. I actually have become more of a RH-Atlanta fan this season which I did not think would happen. I liked that High Art show on Bravo. The next Iron Chef was good. Two Broke Girls is pretty funny. The New Girl is good, but not great and you know I am a Zooey fan.
American Horror Story, sad it's over.
ReplyDeletecriminal minds
ReplyDeleteC.S.I.-The original version
Real Housewives of Atlanta
Alcatraz
any HGTV show that may be on
Revenge
ReplyDeletePlus still watching Parks and Rec and that's about it.
We watch mainly news, history channel, Sotrage Wars, stuff like that but we also love NCIS and Big Bang Theory. We watched Alcatraz the other day and put that on our "must see" list as well.
ReplyDeleteNew Girl was HIlarious last night! Love love love that show.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Thurs night NBC lineup also.
I watch The Bachelor for shits and giggles. Glee, TBL, Desperate Housewives and SYTYCD. I used to watch AI, but am tiring of it now.
OH, I also saw the few episodes of I hate my teenage daughter and really liked it. If they renew and change up a few things it'll be great. (I have a 15 yr old daughter, I related big time!)
Curb is my favorite but due to the prices we can't get hbo so we can't watch it. American horror story was really good. Fringe was amazing but this season is kinda blah so far. Desperate housewives is still good and will be I'll be sAd when it's done. I think the best new show is Grimm. It's nice to sit down and watch with family and the wolf is hilarious.
ReplyDelete2 Broke girls - hysterical.
ReplyDeleteHomeland - enough said.
NCIS - Always good.
HIMYM - getting old, need to get on with it.
Person of Interest - didn't think i'd like it but it really caught me after the 2nd episode.
Really want to like but can't:
New Girl
Unfortgettable
2.5 Men
Growing on me:
Grimm
Once Upon a Time
Lost me completely:
All CSI's
Parks & Rec
30 Rock
Fringe and soccer.
ReplyDeleteMisfits- only offered on HULU British humor is the best love this show. Sci-fi and Brit Humor love love it.
ReplyDeleteThe Good Wife
The Closer
Revenge
Burn Notice
NCIS
All Housewives
Work of Art
Chopped
Dance Moms (hehe)
Kardashians (hehe)
I love, in no particular order:
ReplyDeleteAmerican Horror Story
The Walking Dead
Once Upon a Time
All of the Real Housewives
Mad Men
Glee (but Ryan is pissing me off with this one)
Pretty Little Liars (don't hate)
Modern Family
New Girl
Jersey Shore (again, don't hate)
The only one we care about watching is Modern Family.
ReplyDeleteAnd Jeopardy. But that's been around for, um, awhile.
But I'm all over the House Hunters International marathons on Friday nights.
Revenge, though it is starting to lose momentum (that happens when you go a month between episodes). I also watch glee (more out of habit), Downton abbey, bachelor (sucky season though), survivor. I have given up rhobh finally. I need to find new shows, because my usual stuff is getting really awful or derivative.
ReplyDeleteTwo Broke Girls
ReplyDeleteGrimm (love love love that show)
Once Upon a Time
Unforgettable
Csi Miami
Mentalist
Top Chef
Real Housewives shows
@figgy -- contestant test is this week. Are you taking it? I figure I will tonight -- perfect time waster on a snowy day

ReplyDeleteA lot of my favorites are on break so we've been mesmerized by Hoarders, Storage Wars and Toddler and Tiaras. Guilty pleasures, I think.
ReplyDeleteWe watch Parks and Recreation, Big Bang Theory and Modern Family. I like all the characters but Zooey on the New Girl and I started watching because I'm a big fan of She and Him.
I am hyped up because the new season of Spartacus starts next week! I recommend everyone subscribe to Starz and rent the back episodes. The last episode of season one was the best tv show I have ever seen. I don't think it will be the same without Andy Whitfield or another character who I won't mention in case you want to watch. I'm willing to give the new Spartacus a huge chance.
We are trying the new Showtime show with Don Cheadle. I'm not sure if I like it though I do like the actors in it.
I sheepishly admit that we watch Californication. Not that I wasn't sheepish about Toddlers and Tiaras and Hoarders. I feel sheepish about that, too.
Spartacus!
OMG - I forgot The Vampire Diaries
ReplyDeleteRevenge
ReplyDeleteJustified
Real Housewives of ATL
Love & Hip-Hop
Breaking Bad
Let me start by saying that since I work such weird hours and shifts, I don't bother with cable, relying instead on Netflix and Hulu.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, RH:BH. I credit CDAN with kicking off that train wreck of an addiction, but I do love the show. Lisa rules.
Haven't yet watched Alcatraz, but it's on the must see list.
Terra Nova is Dawson's Creek with dinosaurs. Meh.
Downton Abbey. OMG. Who'd have thought Elizabeth McGovern could actually hold her own against Maggie Smith? And in a British costume drama to boot?
Once Upon A Time. Tough to get into. Interesting premise, but plot holes galore.
Weeds. Love the show.
Hot in Cleveland. Betty White. Need I say more?
Southland. Absolutely, hands down one of the best shows on TV.
ReplyDeleteI am loving "Happy Endings" - yes, it is a little bit like "Friends", but it's funnier than most of the crap on TV right now.
ReplyDelete@Seachica, thanks for the reminder! yes, I am.
ReplyDeleteI admit that I am QUITE the Jeopardy whiz. That's because I am full of useless tidbits. My mom even got me a fridge magnet that says "I am good at many things, none of which generate income" haha.
American Dad, with Paul Lynde, reincarnated as Roger the Alien, I cannot get ENOUGH!
ReplyDelete1. American Horror Story- must be watched from the beginning to fully enjoy.
ReplyDelete2. Person of Interest- I didn't think I would like but I really do. It has turned out to be a great show.
Once Upon a Time. Love the actors.
ReplyDeleteGrimm.
Terra Nova.
Storage Wars and Storage Wars Texas.
I am looking forward to the return of Mad Men (March 25), Game of Thrones (April 1), and Cougar Town (February 14).
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, I'm enjoying Parenthood, Happy Endings (VERY funny!), Parks and Rec.
Glad 30 Rock is finally back, hoping Community gets back on the schedule soon.
I can't take the Housewives anymore. I only liked NY because Bethany was hilarious and Jill was (is) a foul waste of space.
ReplyDeleteLove my Dirty Jobs, Revenge, Once Upon A Time, Big Bang Theory, and anxiously awaiting Spartacus.
Also fan of True Blood, Boss, Homeland, and Fairly Legal on USA.
Anyone else besides me and the hubby bummed about Man Up being canceled?
ReplyDeleteOh forgot my very favorite, its on in the summer, The Big C!
ReplyDeleteMonday.. Hart of Dixie..cute/sweet, predictable. I'm watching for Lavon and Lemmon to see how they resolve that.
ReplyDeleteTape Two Broke Girls
Tues: Ringer..it's really good.
Wens: nothing
Thursday: VAMPIRE DIARIES with Ian!!! Love that show..must watch
Friday: Nothing
Sat: Football or Hockey
Sun: THE WALKING DEAD!!!!! best show since LOST!
I really like Grimm, and I need to try out American Horror Story.
ReplyDeleteAbout some of my faves from years past--
ReplyDeleteTop Chef. The last few seasons have been terrible and this year from Texas is the WORST ever. Who was the idiot who thought of forcing gourmet chefs to make chili and BBQ in every episode? IDIOT!!!
Project Runway. The last few seasons have been frustrating as the WRONG people won. This new version of all-stars is okay but not as fantastic as it probably seemed on paper.
And I usually watch a lot of HGTV but it is so repetitive these days, even the one that I like, The Unsellables. And the show that I used to love, Color Splash, moved from San Fran to Miami and is now awful, and I mean awful. Reading the HGTV message boards, nearly every single poster agrees with me and has bolted from the show. WTG, HGTV. Take one of your best shows and make it completely shitty.
Oh, if it ever returns..BEING HUMAN
ReplyDeleteBones
ReplyDeleteBig Bang Theory
Criminal Minds
Up All Night, Castle
Once Upon A Time *my guilty pleasure*
Supernatural *hubby's guilty pleasure I play nintendo ds through*

Castle
Hoarders
Grey's Anatomy

Ringer
ReplyDeleteTwo Broke Girls
Revenge
Once upon a time
Mob Wives
Unsung
Modern Family
ReplyDeleteGrey's Anatomy
RHOBH

Oh yeah! White Collar started its new season last night! Matt Bomer FTW!
ReplyDeleteTOP CHEF!!!!!!!! I freaking LOVE that show!
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time
ReplyDeleteGrimm
Homeland
Revenge
Happy Endings
Top Chef
Dexter - jumping the shark a little though
Up all Night is pretty funny
HGTV - just bought a new house and am obsessed!!!
for all the people who watch downton abbey, do i need to watch previous episodes to get into it. what is the show about?
ReplyDeleteThe only can't miss in our house is Modern Family. We do watch Jeopardy -- it is great when even the 8-year-old can answer a question.
ReplyDeleteBut others that we catch as often as we can:
Top Gear (love me some Hamster)
The Choir (BBC)
New Girl
Big Bang Theory (knock knock knock ... Penny)
No love for Hell on Wheels? Has to be one of the best shows on tv right now...well, WAS, the season is over now :(
ReplyDeleteI watch way too much TV:
ReplyDeleteDownton Abbey
International House Hunters (I have turned it into a personal competition)
RHO... franchise (all of them, yikes)
Top Chef
Revenge
Grimm
AHS
NBC's Thursday night line up (been a while since I could say that)
Pretty Little Liars (nolachickee - right there with ya)
Shameless
Anything HBO is pumping out
When I need mindless things in the background, I throw on my On Demand function and watch Desperate Housewives, Teen Mom, Basketball Wives, Baseball Wives, Mob Wives, essentially any of the crap that MTV / VH1 pumps out that I would never admit to anyone who actually knows me that I watch)
Go ahead, judge me.
Revenge
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon A Time
Homeland
Burn Notice
NCSI
White Collar
Justified
Boardwalk Empire
SYFY assorted shows Lost Girl new
Fringe
Alcatraz
Ringer
and I forget...
Oh - and kltx - just saw your post. I would recommend watching season one before diving in. It is similar to Upstairs Downstairs if you ever watched that... It is so, so good and I am not a period piece person at all - if you belong to Netflix, you can watch season one on streaming video. There is only seven parts to season one.
ReplyDeleteI would recommend watching it before starting up with season 2. You would probably still enjoy season 2, but you would miss a lot of the background and nuances.
In no particular order:
ReplyDeleteNCIS
Criminal Minds
Original CSI
Once Upon A Time
CSI New York
Fringe
New Girl
White Collar
Dexter
So You Think You Can Dance
Person of Interest
Burn Notice
Leverage
Body Of Proof
Idol, one more time
Another vote for Homeland here. It's on Showtime On Demand and there has only been one season. Claire Danes deserves her GG...Damian Lewis got robbed by "Joey." Also love Modern Family and Dexter. And I never miss Big Bang Theory...
ReplyDeleteLizard Lick Towing and Shameless!
ReplyDeleteI am a tv addict so I have a bunch but my favourite is Sons of Anarchy, others I really enjoy
ReplyDeleteBreaking Bad
Justified
Bones
Once Upon A Time (new)
Grimm (new)
Burn Notice
The Mentalist
Ones I watch because of habit but not enjoying as much
Criminal Minds
CSI
NCIS (goes from middle to bottom only because they are trying to force a Tony and Zeva romance on me)
I feel like lately, there are a few new shows that, although I don't LOVE them, I'll keep watching because they're just interesting enough. Like Terra Nova, or Grimm. I don't have to rush home to catch them, but I'll watch if they're on the PVR.
ReplyDeleteI do like Pan Am and Once Upon A Time. And I am watching the two ep opener of Alcatraz tonight - I have high hopes! I will also give The River a shot when it starts.
This will tide me over until the next season of Sons Of Anarchy starts. That has turned into my favourite show ever. Seriously. They've never had a slow episode!
2 Broke Girls
ReplyDeleteThe Middle
Criminal Minds
Tabitha's Takeover
Suburgatory
Any RH show, especially NJ or OC (when I catch it)
Anything on HGTV
Storage Wars
Pawn Stars
Impractical Jokers
I (Almost) Got Away With It
Lizard Lick Towing/Hardcore Pawn(for mindless trash)
And of course football with the fiance
I also was one of the few who liked the Playboy Club
ReplyDeleteAnd I am not ashamed to admit it
@ Ms Cool- "like all the characters but Zooey on the New Girl"
ReplyDeletetotally agree. she can be "cute", but it feels a little forced. I really like the Nick character, though...

Happy Endings
Revenge

Jersey Shore
All the Real Housewives
Kardashians
Tori and Dean
Rachel Zoe
Brad Brad World
Braxton Family Values
Full Throttle Salon (it's a damn trainwreck of a show, but I can't help it)
They are short seasons, but BBC's Sherlock has blown me away. Last Sunday's finale was just amazing, people are still trying to figure it all out. I also love Misfits, Being Human (UK), Ringer and my guilty pleasure is Gossip Girl.
ReplyDeleteRevenge
ReplyDeleteTop Chef
Person of Interest
Mike & Molly
Suburgatory
Full Throttle Saloon
American Horror Story
The Walking Dead
Hard Core Pawn
Practical Jokers - Hilarious!
Sons of Anarchy
any my old stand by Grey's and its spinoff Private Practice
I favor the dramas over reality and comedy, my favorites so far:
ReplyDeleteDownton Abbey - pure excellence
Hell on Wheels- Anson Mount YUM. Colm Meaney seems to be filling the gap left by Gene Hackman.
Justified- Timothy Olyphant YUM YUM!!
Homeland - Damian Lewis can do no wrong & Claire Danes is phenomenal.
Dexter- meh season, but great cliff hanger.
Southland - loved Lucy Lui last nite.
Closer - gonna miss Kyra terribly.
Dramaville on BBCAmerica - Luther & the Hours were wonderful, loved the replay of the original State of Play, Mistresses starts tonite.
House of Lies - so-so after 2 episodes but gonna stick it out.
Big Bang Theory - can't get enough.
original CSI - Ted Danson is a great addition.

ReplyDeleteJustified!!!! So freaking good.
ReplyDeleteWhite Collar
Sherlock!
Revenge!! Awesome show!
ReplyDeleteGuilty pleasures: RH of everywhere!
ReplyDeleteHomeland was AMAZING and I did not want to even watch it, but was great. Watched all 3 seasons of Misfits in like a week, great, except for S3, less great than the previous two. Walking Dead, great! Sons of Anarchy, more violent than Sopranos even, but a great watch. Then there is Weeds, Californication, Curb, Big C, and most things on HBO & SHO. Guess I should watch Spartacus as I hear it is good.
And yes for some odd reason STORAGE WARS!
I'm probably going to forget most of the shows that are between seasons, but in no particular order:
ReplyDeleteAmerican Horror Story - the finale is airing in Canada tonight, we were behind the US by 3 or 4 weeks. Absolutely must be watched from the beginning or else it's all kinds of wtf.
Wilfred - great show but I don't know anyone else who's watching. It stars Elijah Wood and so far has had guest spots from Rashida Jones, Chris Klein, Mary Steenburgen, Ed Helms, etc. Worth checking out.
The League - not just for football fans, for anyone who enjoys inappropriate humor.
Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, The Office - no qualifying necessary, I'll cut a man if I miss these shows.
The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park - ditto.
Dexter, True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, Nurse Jackie, Weeds, Shameless - the best that HBO and Showtime have to offer.
Any of Gordon Ramsey's shows - I know he's an asshole but I love him anyway.
House Hunters, Property Virgins, pretty much anything on HGTV, I love me some real estate porn and I hope Million Dollar Listing comes back soon.
Jeopardy! Anytime, anywhere, with anyone. Hate watching it alone. Half the fun is competing to see who can answer the most...answers.
What Not To Wear - yeah, I have issues.
I feel like as soon as I post this I'll think of 6 others. Oh well.
Also loved The Hour, Psychoville, Downton Abbey Christmas Special and for oldie ones, Ashes to Ashes and Life on Mars - cannae beat the Gene Genie!
ReplyDeleteChris Lilley's Angry Boys on HBO!!
ReplyDeleteI am a DVR addict. I have 4 boys age 10 and under and watch after bed time.

When nothing else is on at my house, we watch the Oasis channel - anything about animals, the ocean or space is always a winner.
Love several shows, but the one I adore that few people have discovered is
ReplyDeletePARENTHOOD. The acting and writing is spectacular.
New Girl and Up All Night are the funniest shows on tv right now! I watch pretty bad stuff, I'm kind of embarrassed:
ReplyDeleteThe Mortified Sessions
The Braxton's
Top Chef
Mob Wives
Whitney
2 Broke Girls
Mike & Molly
Hot in Cleveland
Chopped
Project Runway
Tori & Dean
Desperate Housewives
How I Met Your Mother

America's Test Kitchen.
and, I am ashamed to admit, I love
ReplyDeleteThe Bachelor.
where else could you associate with that many brainless girls? I'm sure not going to hang with them in real life! : )
Also, I'll be watching America's Got Talent, just for Howard Stern.
AMERICAN HORROR STORY. Can't believe I'm going to have to wait so long for another season of that. I made a list of what I watched then realized Enty was asking for a favorite. That's definitely my favorite!
ReplyDeleteWhat, no "Luther," people?! BBC America. Check it out. You can get the first two seasons on Netflix. Idris Elba just won the GG for show.
ReplyDeleteThis is for you, jbdean79...
ReplyDeleteThe only show I adored/kept up with last fall was American Horror Story. It isn't scary (in my opinion) but it IS campy, well-acted, imaginative, often hilarious, and Jessica Lange is mesmerizing in it.
I just finished the first book in the Fire and Ice series (HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT) and have begun watching Game of Thrones. NOT as good as the book, but the casting is impeccable and the cinematography is glorious.
I'm going to start watching Downton Abbey on netflix, too, since the world has crapped its collective pants over that shit and I'm curious as to what the fuss is all about.
Oh, I almost forgot: I watched RHOBH religiously, and devoted waaaaaay too much of my mental energy to those women.
Ida I'll be curious if you think GoT isn't as good as the book by the end of the first season. You're the only person I've ever heard of that didn't think it measured up. Most book fans are extremely pleased with the series.
ReplyDeleteHappy Endings and Big Bang Theory!!
ReplyDeleteOh and I forgot Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, Celebrity Big Brother and any of The Choir series - Gareth Malone is quite fit indeed...
ReplyDelete@LMSAM -- Oh, I think it's a GREAT adaptation, but there are definitely some changes to the material that have leaped out at me. For one thing, Drogo and Daenarys are each delicious to behold onscreen, but I like the way their relationship is portrayed WAY better in the book. Their relationship is more consensual earlier on. Their dynamic is different. It's hard to explain.
ReplyDeleteMartin devotes each chapter to a different character, so I feel as if you get a better understanding of their thoughts and motives. It's not that I think the characters in the T.V. show are one-dimensional at all, but people like Arya and Bran, say, are given more of a voice and a bigger importance in the books. And the direwolves are more impressive in the novels, too. In the show, they're basically like gigantic huskies. ;-)
The scene where Viserys gets his crown, though? Everything I wanted and more, thanks!
In order to include *everything* that happened in the novel, they would have had to film something like forty episodes per season instead of nine or ten, so I don't blame the producers. It's an incredible show, but I'm just enjoying the books a lot more so far.
Top Chef but this season sucks
ReplyDeleteProject Runway
24
The Wire

ReplyDeleteThe Good Wife

To be honest, you need to watch all of these from the beginning. TGW is definitely my favorite, especially once Alan Cumming joined the cast. Netflix is your friend.
My girlfriend likes "Hot in Cleveland" and I usually end up watching it too.
ReplyDeleteI read a lot of the post and come to a conclusion. I am missing out by not watching Revenge. It has made a lot of your list. I'm going to have to catch up and give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention Homeland! That show is unbelievably good.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.

Boardwalk Empire
Curb your Enthusiasm
Bored to Death
Criminal Minds
The first 48
The Dog Whisperer

Just about anything on the ID channel (Investigation Discovery) - absolutely love that channel.
Californication - do not have my free Showtime anymore
Pitbulls and Parolees
Mad Men
I am NOT even putting my list here. I have two freaking DVR's at home to catch everything!
ReplyDeletesomeone asked about Revenge. YES, YES, YES. Add it to your viewing schedule. Campy, keeps you glued to the TV, a trashy prime time soap at it's best.
someone else asked about Ringer. Eh, I almost gave up on it but it's still there in the DVR rotation and getting better. BUT, I am one who doesn't get the SMG love. Something about her, as an actress, I just don't like.
forgot:
ReplyDeleteMad Men
Top Chef
Downton Abbey (Mr. Bates)
Enty, if you don't watch Psych already, you MUST start. It is one of the best shows on tv. And it is chock full of '80s pop culture references, which I know you love. The earlier seasons all stream on Netflix, and they're back from hiatus at the end of February.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite (new) thing thus far is Revenge. My DVR is too full to list EVERYTHING, so here are some:
ReplyDeleteShameless
Parenthood
Up All Night

If you missed the first round, I would highly recommend The Voice. It's so much better than Idol.
I am really looking forward to Smash.
I still regularly watch -
Frasier
Friends
Everybody Loves Raymond
Oh, forgot Selling New York...I would die to have a NYC apt.
ReplyDeleteI'm addicted to Person of Interest. Jim Caviezel -- yum. I'll also watch the occasional Boardwalk Empire and have only just now begun digesting a lot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When it first aired, I was in an extremely difficult place in my life, so I couldn't get into it until now. I've tried out a couple of episodes of Mad Men but can't add it to my schedule like I want to.
ReplyDeleteI do watch a lot of Cooking Channel, particularly Nadia G.'s Bitchin' Kitchen, Extra Virgin, Chuck's Day Off, and The Supersizers Go. I love World's Dumbest on truTV and How It's Made on the Science Channel. Aside from that, I don't have that much room for TV in my schedule, otherwise I'd be watching Two Broke Girls, Parks & Recreation, and old Black Books episodes on my PBS affiliate (I am addicted to As Time Goes By repeats, though). Those shows look like they'd be up my alley.
I've been watching David Letterman since 1988. Have to throw him in there. Along with Conan who I've been watching since '93. Love Jon Stewart and Real Time with Bill Maher.
ReplyDeleteRescue Me was very good. I Think Six Feet Under, Twin Peaks, and The Sopranos were my favorite shows of all time. And Spin City was just pure gold. The Michael J. Fox years anyway. Charlie Sheen fucked that show beyond repair.
^That's what I forgot Jason! I too watch Real Time!
ReplyDeleteOh, and also reruns of Real Sex, ha
New shows I'm loving are Once Upon A Time, Revenge, Ringer, Terra Nova (took most of the season to get into it) & Person of Interest.
ReplyDeleteTo everyone that admitted to a "Mob Wives" addiction I heartily thank you.
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with this show. I watch a lot of trash TV and my hubby is generally forgiving (code for "doesn't give me any shit about it") but when I watch Mob Wives he becomes apopleptic!
I can't explain my fascination with that show...but I. Must. Watch. It. Maybe it's that their lives are so far removed from anything I have ever experienced. Their nonchalance about having an incarcerated husband floors me. And unlike contrived reality shows like RH or the KarTrashians, you can't argue that Sammy The Bull was, in fact, connected.
Southland just started last night - An absolute must!!
ReplyDeleteSouthland is awesome,so glad it is back, Lucy Liu was okay, but I wish they kept other woman cop.
ReplyDeleteReally like Downton Abbey even though they stole a story line from one of my fav movies(Mrs. Miniver) last year
Happy Endings
Amazing Race
Revenge
Cops
Americas Most Wanted
Alcatraz
I adore New Girl and Happy Endings. I watch them multiple times because the acting and writing are terrific and at a screwball comedy pace that demands repeat viewing. I really respect that the shows portray genuine male and female friendships and relationships, non-white leads, gay leads...awesome shows with good hearts.
ReplyDeleteNext favorites are Up All Night, Park and Rec, American Horror Story, Supernatural, Fashion Police, and Say Yes to the Dress.
I loved Hell on Wheels. Who knew Common could act? I wonder if Anson Mount will be on the next season.
ReplyDeleteWalking Dead. Can't wait for that to start up again, even if I no longer have AMC. :( I'll have to watch their shows on the net. I also liked The Killing.
What channel does American Horror Story play in Canada?
Revenge (with the ... breathy ... voice)
Suburgatory (Easy A for tv)
America's Funniest Home Videos - always good for a laugh
Picnicface (Canadian comedy troupe. Funny, funny stuff)
Mr. D is only two shows in, but it's a fun show to watch, especially with your kids
Game of Thrones - I have to get the books now
True Blood - I'm afraid that might jump the shark soon
Dexter - This season was fantastic. Sounded like the dialogue between Deb and Dexter reflected what was happening to them in real life. And that ending! Colin Hanks did a phenomenal job, and I really liked Mos Def's (or Mos's) character. I wish they hadn't killed him off so soon.
Family Guy - I think it's on 24/7 now
1000 Ways to Die
Fantasy Homes by the Sea (LOVE that show)
Criminal Minds
48 Hours Mystery (my husband thinks I'm looking for ideas on how to off him)
Dateline NBC (sometimes)
Curb Your Enthusiasm - stopped watching for quite a while, but this season slayed me.
Not my favourite - Storage Wars. Husband and son obsessed with that show. I like Barry.
Oops - forgot Jersey Shore.

ReplyDeleteCurrently:
ReplyDelete30 Rock.
Mythbusters.
Almost anything on HGTV.
Almost anything Anthony Bourdain does.
Also: Dexter, The Rachel Zoe Project, Tori & Dean.
But my favorite show, hands down, is Breaking Bad.
Favorite show of all time? That title probably goes to MASH.
Am Horror Story
ReplyDeleteNCIS
Big Bang Theory
Once Upon a Time
Supernatural
Alcatraz
Person of Interest
My reality show is CHOPPED. I have even got my sister addicted to it.
Oh and when it's on HAVEN.
ReplyDeleteTwo Broke Girls would be funnier if the actresses didn't seem to pause for giggles and say their punch lines like the end of a knock knock joke.
ReplyDeleteWhitney is funny but they do the same thing, which is really annoying when the material isn't reaching it's potential. Really, I hate all shows that use NY as a back drop and fail at it miserably. (This means you Suburgatory)I mean really, what suburb of NY has a Southern California climate?
Still liking HIMYM and The Big Bang Theory. Criminal Minds (thanks to the Ion marathons) and Revenge.
Happy Endings is hilarious, New Girl, Chopped, and Modern Family.
Favorite though is Parenthood. Great cast.
Addendum to previous post -
ReplyDeleteDexter. I prefer getting the DVD's because then I can have a marathon. It was fun to watch the last season after hearing the backstory.
Law & Order - Criminal Intent, SVU, UK - you name it, I love the show.
Dr. Who. Matt Smith has won me over. I'll never forget Tennant, but Smith brings his own charm to the character.
Torchwood. Thank you Starz, for outbidding Fox and having the foresight to make sure they got Davies and gave him carte blanche.
How I Met Your Mother. Worthwhile - kind of a Friends redux, but the calibre of the ensemble easily outweighs that negative.
Top Chef. Any time, any where. I'm gay, but I'm in serious fanboy love with Padma and Gail.
Vampire Diaries is in my Netflix queue, and I've only done one episode. Does it get better?
And one more...
ReplyDeleteAnything Gordon Ramsay is in.
Don't care what anyone says, he's great TV.
As I have said before, whatever we watch comes via the antenna, but we supplement heavily with Hulu and Netflix.
ReplyDeleteI'll agree with all of the Once Upon A Time love up there. I had trouble getting into it at first. Now that I've marathonned my way through the first episodes, I can't wait for the next one. Grimm is also a decent bet, if you're looking for a twist on the cop drama. Alcatraz seems promising, too.
I've lost interest in most of CBS's Monday night comedies, but I still like Two Broke Girls. I also still love Raising Hope, but New Girl has slumped a little for me. I hope it's just a temporary thing, because I think Zooey is adorable. I love Parks and Rec and Community, too.
Misfits is a must-see. The US-version of Being Human isn't nearly as good as the UK version. I also liked Spy and Whites and loved The Librarians (it's like an Australian 30 Rock, but set in a library instead of a studio).
I'm sure there are others I watch -- I just can't think of them right now.
Its amazing that I totally forget shows that I'm not watching at this specific moment in time. I pretty faithfully watch DWTS. It's my secret shame. : )
