Taylor Swift Will Spill Jake Gyllenhaal Secrets

Lesson number one when dating Taylor Swift is that if you are the one breaking up with her be prepared to have you entire relationship played out on the radio. If Jake Gyllenhaal said anything he did not want made public, then that is going to be too bad. Sure, Taylor's songs are not going to mention Jake by name, but we will know. Apparently he really messed with her mind while they were dating and that Taylor has been writing songs left and right about him and the way he treated her. That means Taylor and Reese Witherspoon have some bonding they can do. The thing is Reese has been around the block a few times and knew what she was getting into. Taylor's dating experience consisted of a Jonas Brother and some Twilight novels which she thought she was getting by dating Taylor Lautner, but got something else totally unexpected.

  1. But...Jakey G is gay, as is Lautner as is the Jonas bro she dated. I'm confused as to how they broke her heart when she knew from the start she would be bearding for them. Now...John Mayer...he's straight. I would believe it if she said he broke her heart.

  2. So you listed 3 gay men/boys she has dated....come on it was an arrangement ....
John Mayer well we all know about John Mayer, wonder if she got the Rolex ?

  3. Jeez, wasn't her "relationship" with Jake ages ago? At least in Hollywood time.

Those photos of her walking alone in London are a bit sad. Like, doesn't she have any friends? She really does seem a bit princess in the tower-ish. I'm sure at least one other guy has broken her heart since Jake. Makes for good songwriting, right Swifty?

  4. Its all PR. She bearded, made $, and still makes $ off her fake relationships. Win win for both parties. I can't stand that girls' music!

  6. She already did this with that Dear John song, about John Mayer, sang about how he messed with her mind.
At some point, half her fans are going to get sick of this shit.

  7. She's young! Maybe she had a crush, and was hoping she could change them. Maybe nothing.was arranged, and she went into the relationship naive. Maybe she is just that clues and didn't know! Maybe, and this is a longshot, they (or any combination of them) isn't actually straight, and DID break her heart. Maybe gay rumors start from peeved ex girlfriends.

Either way, I love her music. Music generally talks about love and lost love. It's easy to right about, and people can relate. I don't think fans will get sick of her.

  8. Aww... I like her. For whatever reason, the demand for beards is still strong, so if she can help, good for her. I bearded in high school because the guy was bullied and not ready to come out. I don't see anything wrong with bearding as long as the person is not ready to come out. That decision is solely up to them, which is why the public outings in Hollywood irk me (when someone else does the outing).

  9. Is that last part a reference to a BI?

  10. Any of the above could be true, I will concede that. She is young and has been working, as opposed to socializing and experiencing humanity the way most people do.

IF she has been exposed to a psychopath, sociopath, narcissist it's highly likely she doesn't understand what happened to her. It's hard to know enough about anyone she has dated to make that call. ASPD in any of them wouldn't surprise me based on their past relationships.

All this ASPD is only now coming to the forefront. Movies like Shame, The Corporation and Fishead don't compare with anything previously released. I think we've all experienced ASPD people at some time in our life. I only recently gained an understanding of it.

  11. I'm really getting tired of her.

  12. She is really growing on me. She writes her own songs, is fumbling her way through a place where the dating pool is stocked with barracudas, and is talented at what she does (maybe not as much as a singer, but she sings her songs well enough).

I'd rather see her than the next LiLo or Kardashian article.

  13. I thought they didn't actually date, though? That it was just something the tabs made up from photos of them hanging out as friends or something?

I can't hate on Taylor Swift though. I think as far as young recording artists go, she is a pretty good role model for young girls and her image focuses more on the songwriting and performing, rather than writhing around on stage in your underwear trying to act grown up (I'm looking at you, Miley). She may not be the best singer on the planet, but she is certainly not the worst one out there! *L*

  14. Isn't she still a teenager? If she is bearding, maybe she doesn't quite understand it, as someone said already.

The only reasons I "like" her (but don't listen to her) are because of what Maja mentioned above.

  15. Yeah, what Maja said.

  16. Taylor is going to freak out every potential mate if she keeps divulging all their relationship details in her songs. That schtick worked for Fleetwood Mac, but the whole band was kinda in on it. And Stevie Nicks she is not.

I just have a hard time believing that Toothy Tile "messed with her head" during the whopping FOUR WEEKS that they dated. Ladies: raise your hand if you've ever been strung along by a guy. Now keep that hand raised if you still CARE.

    I thought so.

She works too hard for me to hate her...but I totally understand why people do.

  17. Ida- I hear you. But when I was her age- it definitely stung for a lot longer.

I agree with Maja. I won't go buy her albums or anything- but I can't on hurt. She works hard, writes her own songs, presents herself in a respectable way, and to my knowledge- rose to fame based on her merits and not on some family connection.

And you bet that when my daughter turns 13 (in 8 years)I am going to be playing that 15 song on repeat at home.

  18. Is the last line a reference to a std she got from dating?

  20. "That means Taylor and Reese Witherspoon have some bonding they can do."

    Blind reveal.

Not sure about the last sentence, though.

  21. She will regret it, someone will turn it around and be able to say it's fair play. There will be a guy who will write relentlessly about what a bad lay she is or things equally embarrasing and publicize it to high hell for huge bucks. Trust.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yeah, she's still young, but she's sure racking up the experience. I think she's way more clever than she lets on. I like some of her music, and her lyrics aren't stupid. She beards, she writes songs about them, she lets her fans figure out who she's singing about. There's so much more douchey behavior going on in the entertainment world than that. Still, doesn't she want to take a break and date a hetero? If not, why...

  23. I'm on board with the "she goes into these things naive" train and doesn't realize she's bearding. What I have a hard time with though, is that no one has informed her. To believe Ted C., she's a virgin with zero experience. Who knows though.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I have about as much interest in this girl as I do in watching paint dry.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Maja I agree. As a mother of a 2 year old daughter, she is a good one to look up to.

With all the other pop tarts or quasi famous tarts, she is a breath of fresh air.

I am on the "naive" train as well. And perhaps her gaydar isn't up to full speed yet.

Falling head over heals with a gay guy is heartbreaking at that age and younger. Not enough life under their belts to truly get it yet.

  26. I can't hate on anyone who actually writes and performs their own songs. Plus she's not a hot mess like Lilo or obnoxious like Miley. I thought Jake was Bi and if so I could see how that could mess with her head especially if she's naive like I think she is. Who knows what these fools tell her.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I am with everyone else giving Taylor kudos for her work ethic. But, I'm also getting tired of this "everyone messes with my head" schtick she has. At some point, she needs to take some responsibility for her part in choosing men who bail, or else she'll be the eternal one-note woman scorned, and that gets old fast, not to mention played out (pick your Judd). Still, I suppose that's part of growing up, and she's doing that, before our eyes. Let's just hope she reaches a stable maturity for her sake.

    ReplyDelete
  28. If she were not talented and famous she would be that girl that uses Facebook as a diary. Having said that, she is talented and she is alot better than some of the other nitwit girls out there. I agree with the statement that she is probably far more clever than she appears I just hope she realizes that her base is growing up and she needs to step up her game.

  29. Snap! I meant to type 12 year old!

  30. I'm sorry but I'm a die hard Jake fan. Gay or straight I don't give a fuck what he is. Taylor was just wayyyy too young for him as she had yet to experience real life. I doubt they had little in common other than show biz & I certainly can't see them discussing current events, literature, politics or even favored sexual positions for that matter. Going out with someone younger can be very trying and usually right after sex you just want them to STFU & leave. However, Jake was just a tad nicer and waited a few months before dumping her.

  33. Having once dated a possibly bi and sexually confused guy - my brother's HS math teacher, of all people! - when I was around her age, I get it. It really does mess with your head.

Even 20 years later, I still wonder why he wasn't honest with me and especially himself.

I can't hate on her either. She's a far better role model than Miley, Demi L, and that ilk. She has more talent in her pinky finger than the rest of them do in their whole pathetic selves.

  34. These two "dated" for like 3 weeks?? Come on. That is hardly a relationship. She is so young it's adorable. Can you imagine what she'll write after she actually experiences a real relationship? (See: Adele)

I have no,gaydar. And I could go,out with.a.guy at 20 & be devestated that it didnt work after.two weeks. You get attached.faster.and.hurt deeper at that.age.

  37. Her schtick is getting a bit old. She is know for writing songs about her failed relationships. Well, guess what Taylor? The common denominator in all your failed relationships is you. Granted, there can't be many...three or four. Anyway, find a new subject matter to write about.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I love her for everything Maja said & I actually like her music. She's only 22 years old. I think it's easy to say "she should know by now" but I know women twice her age that fall for men's crap. Also, she seems normal, so I imagine it might be a tad tricky to meet someone on that same level. If she wasn't dating anyone at all, then everyone would be questioning her sexuality (hello, poor Kelly Clarkson).

    ReplyDelete
  39. Does the supermarket tabloid crowd even believe that their "relationship" was real? She bearded for him for something like 6-8 weeks. Even if Jake was straight, how much of relationship could she have in 6-8 weeks? She's already made millions, is she afraid her next album won't sell and she's trying to draw up some PR? She's an OK singer and some of her songs are catchy, but enough of the woe is me songs. She wants to be taken seriously and as an adult? Act like one and move on already. Bonding with Reese? The only thing Reese could pass on was how to schedule better photo ops than the totally phony looking one Taylor did with Jake on that Thanksgiving tabloid photoshoot. And how come Jake picks such bad beards and ones that dump on him afterward? Reese did the same thing. But Jake has always kept quiet.

  40. Has anyone seen these songs or are we just going on her publicist leaking this in prep for her next album.
Ive got nothing against the girl. She takes her role as a tween idol seriously. She knows better than to get her picture taken eating a penis cake or posing naked in the bathroom mirror.

  41. "Toothy Tile" and all that, blah, blah, blah. I still really like him. Gay guys still appeal to us heteros, regardless. "OMG, such-and-such celebrity is gay, so that means I'll never date him". Yeah, and there's a fine line between fantasy and reality. Some of us like to dive in headfirst, while, on the other hand, want our closeted celebrities to just come out, already. Who f*cking cares? No one worth a damn, that's for sure.

Ya know, I'd love to see a Taylor Swift/Alanis Morisette duet.

    ReplyDelete
  42. She has got to be the worst beard in bearding history, I always see her mum with her in meetings so I wonder if she knows about this, and if she does why would she let her daughter be part of something so stupid.

She doesn't need to hang off the arms of these stupid boys to get attention, she's sold more records than most attention seeking, no talent, no clothes female artists.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I also am not a particular fan of her music, but I like her.

    ReplyDelete
  44. The thing I like about her most (and she writes some very good songs) is that my 6 year-old niece can sing along to all of them without me cringing at hearing her mouth those words. My 8 year-old nephew doing some Jessie J and Kesha makes me wince. Even though neither of the latter girls are aiming their music at kids in single digits, those kids now hear them and are desperate to sing along, and I'd rather not hear my nephew singing about brushing his teeth with Jack.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think this is all publicity-oriented. Taylor Swift is 22, not 14. I think it is a good way to sell songs. Gets people wondering what she will be singing about. She is old enough to know if she is bearding someone or not.
