National Enquirer Blind Item

WHICH famous yo-yo dieter plumped up to become the spokesperson for a popular weight-loss program? The singer/actress was in dire need of a quick career boost – and the high-profile campaign was the best way to get back in the limelight to create some buzz for her planned career comeback!

  2. Clearly this is supposed to be Janet Jackson. However, I have a hard time believing the only reason she plumped up was for a marketing opportunity. Sounds like something her PR people would say.

  3. Please. Though promoting Nutri System helps her be back in the spotlight, Janet has ballooned up many times over the years.

It scares me- so bad for her heart.

  4. I was thinking Mariah Carey. Hate those Jenny ads - they show nothing.

  5. I don't think Janet is an entertainer any more. She's a professional weight adjuster, who happens to sing and arm dance pretty well. She came from a famous family, and due to her odd upbringing, she has this amazing ability to adjust her weight.

  6. Totally JJ!!
She annoys me in the commercial...she talks so quiet..it's like just speak up...you don't have to "ACT like that"!
Does it annoys anyone but me? lol

  7. I was thinking Marie Osmond. I know she has been doing Nutra for a while...but that is the first name that popped in my mind.
I like the Janet guess, but isn't she always going to be in the spotlight on name alone?

  8. Ditto on the Janet guesses. Those commercials are awful, too- her voice is creepy and she needs to stop with the plastic surgery... she's beginning to resemble Michael, and we all know how he ended up...

The item also says actress - no way Mariah or Marie (her run is about over now anyway and has maintained a career in specific circles) and before anyone suggests JHud, she is just a yo not a yo-yo. JJ all the way.

  10. Thought I was being clever by guessing Janet Jackson. Obviously I am still a rookie at this game.

  14. She was also in one of those Tyler Perry movies wasn't she? Something like "Why Did I Get Married" or whatever it was. Janet is my guess too.

  15. Janet was also on Different Strokes, I believe as Willis' girlfriend. You're all correct, those commercials with her creepy MJ voice freak me out.

  16. She was in Fame too for a while wasn't she? I hate those ads as well because they don't show any "before" photos of her. I'm sure she has very tight control over what those ads look like. I noticed at her brother's funeral that she looked bigger than I had ever seen her, definitely not the same body she rocked in the love will never do without you video.

  17. the chick from star wars.

  18. Definitely JJ. If anyone's seen Carrie Fisher's standup, you'd know she didn't gain the weight on purpose.

  19. What about Jessica Simpson? There is already buzz about her being the spokesperson and she hasn't even given birth or signed up yet(that I know about) and her weight has fluctuated a whole lot over the years....

  20. I think it is Holly, Hugh's ex. She got quite a bely for a while but now it's gone and she has commercials everywhere, print & TV,

  21. I thought I was the only one who hated JJ's voice. I have to mute the TV when she comes on.

  22. What about Kirstie Alley?

  23. Has to be Janet. She was also in Nutty Professor let's not forget.

  24. I thought I was the only one who finds the voice affect that Janet Jackson uses in her weight-loss commercial to be extremely annoying!
