The Most Ho Hum Arrest Ever
Snoop Dogg was arrested for pot possession in Texas this weekend. Snoop and pot? No! It can't be true. He was arrested when his tour bus was pulled over at a border control checkpoint. It is the same place Willie Nelson got busted. Apparently the drug sniffing dog is really good at knowing which tour buses have chronic pot smokers. The pot was found in a trashcan, but it is all on Snoop and he faces six months in jail if convicted. His medical marijuana card does him no good in Texas. Although nothing will probably happen to Snoop, the arrest does cause problems for him career wise. He was just now getting countries to give him work visas after his series of other arrests. This might end up costing him some of those new visas.
That picture looks like it is from the photo shoot that was the subject of a BI.
ReplyDeleteI mean, really Snoop? You couldn't go on a weekend trip without your weed? Idiot.
ReplyDeleteNo sympathy.
ReplyDeleteThose are the times when he needs to have food...there's no excuse.
ReplyDeleteWait, why does his medical marijuana card not help him? His job takes him on the road. If you think of it as a prescription, than it is just as necessary traveling for business (touring is his business). Whatever, it should be legal anyway.
ReplyDeleteCan we please just legalize marijuana already????????
ReplyDeleteI don't smoke and even I know making it legal is the right thing to do for ppl's rights not to mention the revenue the states would accrue.
duhhh
What Jasmine said.
ReplyDeleteLegalize, regulate, and tax it! It would do wonders for pulling the country out of debt. Not to mention most people could use a good smoke- it's natural. So many people are pharamceutical slaves, under the influence of man-made chemicals and crap. No one has ever become physically addicted to or ovcerdosed on marijuana. It is physically imposibble.
Yet alcohol is legal, which can easily kill a person. Which can eat away at your liver and kidneys over time.
The worst thing that happens to a stoner? Putting on weight from all the munchies.
Ghost I don't believe the worst impact is putting on weight - I am a cigarette smoker and at times in my life go through periods of smoking marijuana... my breathing, my coughing always gets worse when I do so.
ReplyDeleteHowever I do agree that governments would do far better legalising, taxing and educating. Prohibition of alcohol didnt work in the twenties and prohibition of drugs is not working now
In other news, a bear shit in the woods.
ReplyDeleteWhat @Ghost said. Absolutely brilliant. Apply the same laws as you do for alcohol.
ReplyDeleteWith Snoop Dog alone, the state of Texas will get better housing programs.
@ Jaded, I am sorry to hear about your breathing or coughing problems... however, I am more inclined to think that these type of problems have more to do with cigarettes than with pot. I am a former cigarette smoker and I remember how crappy my lungs would feel. Now I only smoke weed, and even then it's usually just a joint before bed. I have never felt better.
ReplyDeleteNot saying that this holds true for everyone. Quitting smoking was hard and I sometimes miss it and crave a cigarette, but being able to breathe for once is nice.
@BrendaLove - LoL. Right?
ReplyDelete@ghost - agreed with how my lungs feel now since I quit cigarettes vs when I smoked both.
Agreed with all "legalize it" comments.
Snoop should get a permanent free pass for stuff like this. Willie Nelson too!
ReplyDeleteViva la Snoop!!
A Willie Nelson song just came on my Pandora shuffled stations. Odd!
ReplyDeleteIf he wasn't driving the bus, I really don't care.
I am generally pro-legalization, except that I hate the smell, and it's bad enough now with it being illegal - almost every time I walk my dog, we go by some house or other that's poisoning the air.
ReplyDeleteSnoop was just in Perth Aust for concert - sniffer dogs at gate for the rest of us!
ReplyDeletethat's why herb is illegal. It's the easiest thing to bust. Quite unlike child predators who often wear masks.
ReplyDeleteReason #88769564 why herb needs to become legally free. As free as prayer.
