Kirstie Alley knows that the first week of January is the best time to talk diets and exercise. Go to your checkout stand at the grocery store and notice if you will the magazines that are closest to the cashier. They have been changed in the past week. The magazines which featured holiday recipes now feature 500 recipes under 400 calories and Weight Watchers Magazine and others that re designed to take advantage of your resolution to lose weight. I have already spent about $350 on such products. Unfortunately they have also not moved the chocolate, so I have spent $240 on pudding. Oh yeah Levon.
Where was I? Oh yeah. So anyway, Kirstie Alley announced that she wants people to exercise more and is encouraging them to do so via her 100 days of dancing. It would be nice if the second sentence of her press release talked about how she is going to dance and use this diet plan which she neglects to mention she owns. Her plan is to also dance with 100 celebrities over the 100 days in different locales. Apparently she is trying to pitch it as a show, no one bought it, so she is going to try and do it as a web series until someone pays her.
I encourage people to diet and exercise, I just think she should be straight forward about her intentions. Remember I am trying to lose 50 pounds this year. Now, if you excuse me, I gotta whisper some sweet nothings to this puddin.
A popular taunt among Scientology critics used to be: "Why is smoking okay?" The Scios have endless concern about addiction, drugs in the body, detoxing, etc., -- but smoking is the one drug-taking practice that is absolutely encouraged and tolerated by attendees at the compounds. Odd, no? Why is smoking okay?
ReplyDeleteMy gym was packed yesterday.....in a month or so 90 % of them will be gone and life will return to normal...
ReplyDelete@Barton - really? Smoking is ok in CoS? Huh.
ReplyDeleteWell, she is desperate to stay on the tube. Which brings her to K! level. She's doing anything she can to sell us her diets and fitness routines. Used to find her great in comedy, good timing. Now, she really needs to stop focusing on the physical, and get to the character. Small roles here and there to rebuild her rep.
Just stop acting like an entitled b-tch.
Just read on Lainey that Goopie (Coldplay was a paid act) was in Abu Dhabi for New Years...with Courtney Love...does anyone know who else thay paid to attend ?
ReplyDeleteSo is Courtney hooking?
ReplyDeleteWasn't she the BI about someone gaining weight on purpose so she/he could lose it and then sell a diet plan?
ReplyDelete@brendalove: apparently, because Woody's people wouldn't loan her $100K.
ReplyDeleteEnty--I love that you just threw in a reference to The State.
ReplyDeleteKirsty needs to just give it up and let the crazy hang out. She looks like she is going to burst a vein if she contains it for too much longer.
ReplyDeleteEnty - you can do it! On this trip that I just took, the condos had full length mirrors. I don't have one. Let's just say that viewing my entire body all at once has me thinking I could take off some weight. For me, it's cheese. I love cheese, and milk, and fat fat yogurt, and cottage cheese. Just as bad as bacon.
ReplyDeleteKirsty, meh. I always think of "Look Who's Talking", and I don't want to think about that.
Didn't know that the Scientologists could smoke, I thought it was taboo.
And smoking is a form of self-medication. Which, along with alcohol and other legal drugs, is sometimes abused in lieu of...psychiatric medication!
ReplyDeleteFor god's sake woman, all of you obviously troubled Co$ celeb members (lookin' at you Tommy Boy and Travolta), some psychiatry might do you a world of good.
A few weeks ago I smoked some cigarettes while having some drinks. I do that about once a year. But the cigarette hangover lasted, I swear, like 2 weeks. I can't imagine how people do this on a regular basis.
One critic site has some discussion of the smoking thing: http://ocmb.xenu.net/ocmb/viewtopic.php?t=20250
ReplyDeleteAll the active CoS people I knew were smokers, but that was the 20th century, when people smoked more freely.
Stopped smoking 11 years ago. And from time to time, when the mood hits, I simply buy a fag from someone (as punishment, I insist on paying 1st fag $2, 2nd fag $5... Let me tell you, after that kind of punishment, I go straight:))
ReplyDeleteAnd the smell, and taste of it just sticks to your gums and mouth and ribs for days! No matter how hard you mouthwash and vigorously brush. Nasty things.
@DaniD - I cook...and I CHILL.
ReplyDeletewell, cause....we all know exercise and smoking tobacco go hand in hand. -NOT
ReplyDeleteAnyone reading that Debbie Cook letter she sent to all CoS dissing the latest management changes in the Church?
ReplyDeleteDo as I say, not as I do!
ReplyDelete@Figgy, that is why I quit smoking. I went out one night with non-smokers so I barely smoked (this is when you could smoke in bars and restaurants) and my hangover the next day was practically non-existant. And when I get bad and smoke when I drink, it's the pulsing throb in my temple that makes me want to kill myself.
ReplyDeleteAs for Kirstie Alley, dancing with 100 celebrities for 100 days??? What kind of fuckery is that? Who would want to watch that? I'm irritated just thinking about it.
I'm still puzzled - she was on her own useless shit Organic Liasons for a year and was fat as hell, then she does Dancing with the Stars and loses all her weight, which most people on that show do, they she goes and tell everyone she lost it by using her Organic Liasons shit. Really? You think we didn't notice that you were on it for a year or more and lost nothing?
ReplyDeleteShe is one of the many people I have found, thanks to Twitter, that I absolutely can't stand.
I quit a little over two years ago, and all I can think now when I end up in the elevator with someone who was just out for a smoke is "I can't believe I used to SMELL like that!".
ReplyDeleteI seriously think she needs some type of psychiatric help. She is just all over the place like she is having manic episodes.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like her dance plan...
ReplyDeleteI've never understood Scientology's stance on smoking either, but then there is very little about Scientology that makes sense.
Enty...I heart you so bad right now for quoting one of my all-time favorite comedy skits. The day I found it on you tube was a happy day.
