Jessica Seinfeld's First Husband Arrested For Terrorizing Another Woman
Do you remember when Jessica Seinfeld left her husband right after they got married for Jerry Seinfeld? She might have known what she was doing. For what seems like the third or fourth time, Broadway producer Eric Nederlander has been accused of terrorizing a woman in his life. His second wife had to get a restraining order which effectively keeps Eric away from her forever. Now, his most recent girlfriend had a protection order against Nederlander but he violated early yesterday morning when he somehow got a key to her apartment while she was sleeping, let himself in and checked her cell phone. He then woke her up by grabbing her hair and yelling at her and accusing her of cheating on him. I'm guessing it was things like this that might have made her want to get the protective order in the first place. Nederlander was arrested and if convicted could serve up to three years in jail.
Can't imagine why he would have a paranoia about someone cheating on him.
ReplyDeleteYeah there's a difference of being paranoid and then just being psychotic about it.
ReplyDeleteSome how his experience with Jessica probably is at the root of this...
ReplyDeleteShe simply traded-up when she saw the opportunity.
Sounds like he needs to get therapy for some unresolved issues with the way Jessica left him. I can see why he has become so paranoid.
ReplyDeleteWell, Nederlander probably had issues even before Jessica married him and dumped him. So I can't completely put the issue on her. But the way she conducted herself during the entire affair pretty much makes clear that she was a gold-digging skank. I'm shocked that she didn't trade up from Seinfeld right after.
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't think Jessica conducted herself in the most classiest way, can we please STOP BLAMING HER for her ex-husband's actions.
ReplyDeleteShe made him paranoid- ok, but did she tell him to go and harass others? Did she tell him to sneak into his ex-girlfriend's apartment and assault her? He has issues and he has a responsibility to get help. I hate when people blame the women (who has not been in his life for over a decade) for his behaviour.
@Sevenmack - I agree with you that he had a problem before Jessica dumped him. And obviously, good for her. Can you imagine what kind of husband that terrorizing asshole is?
ReplyDeleteIt's not just one woman, it's many women he had terrorized. Doubt Jessica had anything to do with it. He is just an asshole. By himself. No one is pushing him to become one, or causing him to be one. He's a grown man, he stands an asshole on his own.
Never liked Jessica. Screams uppity bitch. Give it up people, the Seinfeld marriage had lasted much longer than most marriages these days. And how about a sigh of relief: one woman escaped a jerk. And got an upgrade too!
Men like that are just so f-ing scary. Scary. You never feel safe, you never know what's going to happen, and it keeps you in a constant uptight mess. *shudder*
ReplyDeleteOK-I just officially jumped to the Team Jerry & Jessica on this whole thing. I once felt bad for the guy, but now I can see why she jumped ship so quickly and why having Jerry to catch her was her lucky day. I can't say I blame the girl.
ReplyDelete@ice angel, I totally agree. His crazy behavior probably made Jessica much more ready to jump ship. She shouldn't have married him but at the same time we have no idea how he was treating her or her emotional state when she did marry him. We just see the person that he is. Crazy, controlling and abusive.
ReplyDeleteAlso, to say that Jessica made him paranoid is a little unfair. Because as Rita said, his behavior is all his own. It cannot and should not be excused because of getting cheated on a decade ago.
And because controlling abusive men are almost always suspicious about cheating and everything else. They think of their partner as a possession. This is not unique behavior found only in men who have been cheated on. This is crazy abusive behavior found in emotionally abusive and physically abusive men.
Look fucker, women are not your possessions, and no one owes you shit
ReplyDeleteI co sign with Rita and Sevenmack...The guy is crazy and it has nothing to do with Jessica.
ReplyDeleteOkay I will play devils advocate here..
ReplyDeleteEven if Jessica was the root of his problem (For the record I do not believe that at all!)
Enough time has passed and dude should have 'worked out his issues'.
That being said, An ass is an ass, is always an ass.
Was Jessica seeing him & Seindfeld @ the same time? Just curious.
ReplyDelete^If I remember correctly, the story goes: Jessica met Seinfeld at gym. She was a newlywed. Fell for him, asked for a divorce... I think weeks within meeting him, and married Seinfeld.
ReplyDeleteTimebob?
Jessica didn't seem to handle things well at the time. But maybe she'd had a glimpse of his possessiveness and paranoia.
ReplyDeleteHe is the "master of his own domain",and his actions no matter what the perceived provocation are his alone.
Guy needs to see a therapist.
I don't condone her cheating, but let's not go placing the blame of his psychotic behavior on her.
ReplyDeleteTheir marriage ended in 1998.
He must have shown his ass while Jessica was dating him. For whatever reason - to please her family, etc. she went through with the marriage. She saw a chance to escape and took it, even though she didn't handle it well.
ReplyDeleteAbout 20 years ago, I dated a guy who seemed to have issues, and I dumped him. Good thing I did. He punched his pregnant wife and killed the baby (she wanted the baby). It's scary reading that in the paper and knowing it could have been me, if I wasn't spooked by him.
Thank you, Deep. That was a weird thing to say, Misch.
ReplyDeleteShe definitely may have character issues. She is allegedly to have blatantly plagiarized a cookbook oriented towards helping moms sneak healthy food into their kids. The objection by the offended author resulted is a vicious tirade by Jerry in defense of his wife, and (I imagine) a barrage of lawlerly intimidation. I don't know how it all turned out... But I did look at both books side by side....
