Jason Sudeikis Does Ricky Gervais

Jason Sudeikis took some time off from making out with Olivia Wilde to focus on his Saturday Night Live job. He focused well because his impression of Ricky Gervais this weekend made the show. The musical act was awful and Daniel Radcliffe was just kind of ok. I felt like the whole cast kind of mailed in this episode.

  1. Disagree with you, Enty, on most of it - thought his Gervais wasn't that good, and I actually liked this episode, thought it better than some of the others I've seen lately. I liked seeing Daniel R. as someone other than Harry Potter. Thought Kristin did great!

EXCEPT: WHAT was with that girl singing? I really thought - really - that she was a joke, as in, they were making a joke, and she wasn't a real singer. Everything about that woman, from the way she looked to the way she sang, was comical. A minute in I realized it wasn't a joke. Fast forwarded through the rest of her stuff. Yikes.

  2. I could do without any more Target sketches. I thought this episode was meh but Daniel Radcliffe did his best.

  3. I like Lana Del Rey's music but god watching her perform is PAINFUL!!! It was almost reminiscent of Britney at the MTV awards the way her eyes were so blank!
Where was Andy Samburg??? Him and Daniel would have been great together...

  4. I think this skit was longer that Golden Globe Ricky's airtime. :(
Had to laugh that in the the BET awards part of the sketch, no pint glass, just an open quart bottle of Natty Light.

Lana Del Rey is being marketed as The Next Big Thing but she was yawn inspiring rather than awe inspiring.

  7. Yeah, can't see the video - the message says it can only be streamed inside the U.S.

  8. Shut off this epi of SNL halfway through. Not worth staying up for.

  9. Jason was bang on with his impression. It was the funniest part of the show that I caught. And I agree Mango, this is longer than Ricky's air time. (Though I quite liked his comment about how defecating in a sink isn't worse than what some did to make it in Hollywood.)

  10. "Lana Del Rey" says music is just a hobby to her, and it shows. She does have potential, but she hasn't bothered to learn how to sing. That was just a complete embarrassment.

  11. The Target Lady skit jumped the shark long ago. Not at all funny.

  12. I agree figgy, the target lady skit is not good. Does anyone else hate Keenan on this show? He is constantly ruining the skits with that smile always coming through. I can't take him seriously.

  13. Lana Del Ray aka Lizzy Grant, still has lots of her dad's dollars behind her, so I'm sure they will continue to overcome the obstacle of her inability to actually perform... IDG why she didn't just become a model? Her type of act doesn't really make sense without the foil & context of a Serge Gainsbourg or Velvet Undergound...

  14. The "You Can Do Anything" sketch was brilliant, best of show! Sooo true of gen whatever and how they've been raised.
