Golden Globe Nominations & Football

It is time to get your Golden Globe pre-game on. You can spend the next 7 hours talking all about the Golden Globes and who you think will, or will not win. Or, if you prefer you can use this time as I will, by starting to drink early and often while I watch football all day. Two games yesterday. One was one of the best 4th quarters I have ever seen, and one, well, not quite as good.

I will be back at 4pm PST to talk about all things red carpet and then live blog this thing.

203 comments:

  1. I actually felt bad for NO yesterday. That had to hurt. I had a friend at the game who said that the 49er fans were actually screaming insults related to Katrina. I've never been so ashamed to be a Cali girl.

People are simply uncouth. After you beat someone, it's not nice to beat them down with insults about something that was not their fault. I'm glad to see NO bring itself back up. But I have to admit I was rooting for the Niners, mostly because some of my friends were, and because I'm related by marriage to one of the Niners players.

What gets me now is all the sneering at Tim Tebow for losing to NE. Who in the world expected a rookie QB to beat the Patriots anyway? The kid got out there and gave it his all, which is all anyone can do. I may be prejudiced there, though, since Tim is a hometown boy, and I really despise Tom Brady.

  3. It is a sad day for me and my city. You can hear a pin drop outside on the street. The Saints bring great joy to New Orleans. Damn anyone who makes Katrina jokes. I don't wish the hell people went through here on anyone. Here is to next year - Geaux Saints!

On a lighter note, the bar that I watched the game yesterday served bloody marys - with bacon slices in them!!! Bacoholics unite! They were tasty and delicious. Enty, you would have been in heaven. That's how we roll in NOLA!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. For all of you Michael Fassbender fans, pray for our boy for a win tonight. He's a longshot, so he needs our positive vibes. Clooney doesn't need the win. :)

    Bacon bloody marys! Sounds wonderful!

Yeah, I don't get the joking about something so catastrophic, that brought suffering to so many people. Especially when it brought down one of the greatest cities in the US. Glad to see NO on the uprise again. It's a place I've always wanted to visit. I actually dated this doctor for two years, who liked to play his trombone while nude, because he often visited New Orleans and would sometimes ask his lady of the moment to accompany him. Closest I got was "I thought about you while I was in New Orleans and almost sent you a ticket to join me". Bah.

  6. It was a very interesting 4th Quarter and I am still riding high on our Superbowl win 2 years ago. I'm very proud of our Saints and am not hurt at all by their loss yesterday. However, since there were insults thrown out there about Katrina, I will make sure I do not root for the 49ers to advance to the Superbowl. That's just awful.

    ReplyDelete
  7. ^Nola Bacon slices in Bloodys sounds amazing! YUMMMM

    ReplyDelete
  8. @Syko - get yourself down here! We love company. It will be the best food and drink you can have. You can actually get a food hangover here, it's so rich and wonderful. Everything here is cool and beautiful - the buildings, the culture, the people.

  9. That Saints' loss was painful. I'm a Raiders' fan (please, no insults) so I was not happy to see the Niners win. Brees looked so sad after the game. Enty is right though, that fourth quarter was a nail biter. Unfortunately I had the Saints in a football pool. :(

Tom Brady looked great yesterday. While I'm not a fan, Tebow has nothing to be ashamed of. Denver should be happy they got as far as they did.

I'll be rooting for Houston and Green Bay today.

I bought a jug of Jose Cuervo margarita so I'll be ready for y'all later...

    ReplyDelete
  10. That fourth quarter was epic! We went to NO in 2000 for the Nokia Bowl, rooting for VA. Tech.

Got there a couple of days early to enjoy the city, and it was wonderful.
My husband still drools a little when talking about some of the shrimp dishes he had. Friendly people and fun everywhere.

I'm a pathetic Seahawks fan so I'll just quietly watch the others boys go out to play.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Don't forget us Canadians.... There's HOCKEY tonight too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Green Bay

Nolachickee - which bar? I'm hoping to come home for Easter and I will definitely need to hit this place up!

That was a fantastic 4th quarter. It was the longest final 4 minutes of my life. It's okay that we lost, we still love our Saints! Bless you boys!

    ReplyDelete
  15. This is a bizarre award show from the categories to the strange ways they get their presenters....I swear they promise a presenter they'll be getting an award just to get them to come....
Anyway it always looks like one hell of a party.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Mom Camp - it was a great game. And as for those who made Katrina jokes, well, we need to put all these idiots in one building and set it on fire. They are not good for the gene pool. I felt bad for NO - they played tot he end. But I was rooting for the 49ers and David Akers.

    Giants suck.

And make fun of Tim Tebow - he got into the playoffs, so good for them. Not like the Eagles and their idiot ownership.

And for all the crap that Philly sports fans have to endure, please be aware that bad conduct by fans goes on in every damn city. The list is endless.

    Go Phillies!

    See you this evening, Enty!

    ReplyDelete
  17. That was a crazy 4th quarter. I was rooting against New Orleans because they worried me more but now I'm not so sure. I really like the Saints, though and Drew Brees. I can't believe someone would make Katrina jokes.

All I can think about today is the Green Bay Packers. I am very nervous. New York will definitely be tough.

    Go Pack!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I am a Broncos fan but I love Drew Brees. I felt bad for him and the Saints but congrats to San Fran. And Tebow has nothing to be ashamed about. He took a team going nowhere to the final 8. He remains the same, winning or losing. Kind and gracious. Unlike Brady. So go whomever plays the Patriots, I will be rooting like crazy for you. And as far as the 49er fans, if you were talking smack about people whose lives were destroyed in Katrina, there should be a special place in hell for you. Shame on you!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Did anyone watch SNL last night? Sudekis did a send up of Ricky Gervais, funny!
That Lana Del Ray chick had my ears bleeding, looked like a poor imitation of Florence and the Machine. I can't stand Florence either, she looks like she is trying to channel an Erte statue.
When Lana came out to sing a second time I had to turn the set off and go to bed. Just freakin' painful!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I, too, felt for Brees, the Saints and NOLA. Love that city!

Today, it's all about the Packers, baby! Go Pack Go!

Packer fans: I came across a behind the scenes video of the Discount Double Check commercials w/ Rodgers, Raji and Matthews. It's fantastic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dL_T1n_aU94

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Looziana - the bar that serves the bloodys with bacon is the Rendon Inn. 4501 Eve St. at the corner of S. Rendon St. (Uptown). They renovated the bar at some point, and made it really nice. And the food is amazing! They have some typical bar fare, but their sandwiches are awesome. My favorite is the Saint Chuck Duck. Great toasted bread with succulent duck, three cheeses, grilled onions and fresh green apple pieces. Had one yesterday - took some of the pain away!!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't follow NFL much, but i do cheer for the Saints just for my love of New Orleans. I'm sorry to hear they list & fans had to deal with such a-hole behavior. :(
@nolachickee, I am hoping to make it down there this spring. My husbands in the hotel biz & his company owns a place on Frenchman. You are so right about the food hangover! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Anonymous11:15 AM

Last night, we made bacon wrapped tator tots. They were as good as they sound.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I am so crushed that my Saints lost I can't stand it. After hearing some of the comments the
49er vans made I feel sick. I wonder if they have any idea what Katrina was really like and what they are thinking to say something so cruel. Karma is a bitch - know that.

The Who Dat Nation is loyal and I am a Who Dat for life. I've been through the losing and winning years and I'm already looking forward to next year, and the one after that and after that . . . GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anonymous11:28 AM

Nolachickee, love to come. I've heard the food is incredible. My son went there one year for the jazz festival and almost didn't come back to Florida, he could not get over the food, especially some sort of hot bread with cheese chunks baked in it. Love N'awlins food anyway. Well, if Social Security doesn't go belly up, I might just scrape up some money and drive over to see you guys. It's only about 8 hours from me.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I am a SF girl and prefer baseball to football but that 4th quarter even had me getting out all my sports neurosis and superstitions. It was an amazing game and an amazing win.

I knew people at the game and no one heard any such insults being hurled. Whoever those were that said such things are just gutter rats who will reap what they sow, so to speak. Gotta be careful in SF we are super prone to natural disasters so we should not be tempting the fates by being rude and crude.

A few bad apples do not spoil the entire bunch :) they just make us look bad.

    ReplyDelete
  27. We did NO on the cheap a few years back and had an amazing time. Stayed at the Historic French Market Inn, which is haunted. Every restaurant is good, but we loved this one a few building down from us. I can't remember the name of it but the jambalaya pasta was to die for (it may have been Crescent City Brewhouse). And for breakfast we ate at a French Pastry place called something like Le Pasterrie.

NO is not the place if you are watching your weight. Everything is wonderfully creamy and spicy, and the desserts are legendary.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anonymous12:02 PM

    yay Enty!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm a Redskins fan who lives in Austin, but I was routing hard for NO - I was bummed.

    ReplyDelete
  30. A good friend came by last night, dismayed about the today's Texas game. He's worried for his team because he thinks the Ravens will probably win. About Tebow, I agree that he has nothing to be ashamed of. Brady and the Patriots as a whole are just stronger right now.

Now I want a bacon bloody mary :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have to say I'm pulling for the Ravens - so far so good.

I'm trying to decide when to uncork my GG champagne.......pre-show or wait til Ricky.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Giants fan here - born & raised in NJ, where they REALLY play, but if the Packers beat them I say all the best. As long as the Patriots don't win. I dislike Tom Brady.
Gonna be tricky switching between red carpet stuff and the game, but I'll make the best of it!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I am not into sports at all so I ran errands during the game. The roads were so empty. It was weird! And for those that dissed NO because of Katrina I believe Lunabelle is right. They are total losers and quite the minority. I personally love NO. The nicest people who love tourists and
Amazing food. I happen to be a chef (not pro) and I am a total foodie.

@Del: yeah I saw SNL and the Ricky skit was the only funny one. I finally went to bed before the end it sucked so bad. ESPECIALLY that singer. I guess cuz she is purdy she got a record deal. She was God awful!

    ReplyDelete
  34. By the way, where's our Rita? Guess RQ is having her baby shower today. Her time is near!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Before the game, a friend of mine pledged on Twitter to donate $20 to Planned Parenthood every time Tebow got sacked, so it turned out to be $100. I'm going to match and invite you to do the same.

As for the 49ers and Saints, I wanted the Saints to win, but what a helluva game. I love it when teams come out to play like that.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Football AND Ricky Gervais in the same day...

    YEAH boyz!!!

Fun night planned, here on our end!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I was kinda sad the Saints lost, but Tebag's spanking yesterday MORE than made up for it.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

I guess god loves his nephew more than he does Tebag.

    ReplyDelete
  38. @Del- omg Lana Del Rey was HORRIBLEEEEE. Did you see Micheal K.'s stance on her performance? He said "Lana sounded like a Japanese person trying to sing in English with a German accent." and that she looked like an overly sedated 8yr old doing a Valley of the Dolls impersonation! HAHAHHAA.

Seriously, with every hair flip I thought she was trying to fan herself to wake up before she passed out. Bitch was all ovah the place!

Btw, angelina jolie and every porno star in the world called and they want their collagen lips back Lana, thanks.

Did anyone see the Harry Potter 10 years later sketch?? At first I thought it was rad because come on, it's the Radcliffe spoofing it. But per usual, the skit when on waaaay longer than it shoulda AND i became uncomfortable with the idea of Harry Potter being a sleezeball who wanders the Hogwarts halls and offers beer to the female students and plays Quiddith by himself. That was sorta sad and dark.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hello everyone. Quite sweet of Enty to start us early on.
Not a fan of football either, more Hockey, I know, what blasphemy.

Got my drinks on. Wonder if @RenoBlondee will be getting her what she calls "Crystal Light Redneck Chic on", and @Cali would be getting her "poormosas" on.

Hope all enjoyed their w/e, and are ready for a wonderful evening. Thanks again Enty!

    ReplyDelete
  40. And yes, RQ's baby shower is today but she'll probably be back later to do Golden Globe blogging. We're all really anticipating what Ricky is gonna say.

    ReplyDelete
  41. @ lunabelle, ya 49er fans are usually really sportsman-like.

    *shrug*

For my next controversial comment.....who is hoping that Bridesmaids wins for best comedy?

    *crickets*

    Just me?

    ReplyDelete
  42. @Mother Campfire - Although I loved that an all-women cast made a very funny movie, that was also written by a woman, I didn't like it to the point where it deserves a nomination, Golden Globe or otherwise.

Well, maybe a Golden Globe: that shitty Angie and Depp movie WAS nominated last year for best comedy!

    ReplyDelete
  43. ^ Hellleeeer! Exactly.

    ReplyDelete
  44. @Jasmine:ITA the skits just go on far too long. The HP 10 years after was when I threw my hands up in disgust.
@Mother: I'd like to see the movie win sometthing but not sure it's comedy movie of the year worthy.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I just poured myself my first glass of wine ... so nervous for the Packer game (starting in 10 minutes) ... whatever happens I hope to have fun with everyone here today. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Can't start my Hill Billy vodka drink till about 6pm E or I won't make it through the show, he. But can't wait!

    ReplyDelete
  47. ^Same here chopchop:)

I have 2 questions for the Tech savvy people:

1- Do we need a special account for the Live blog? I've always connected with my gmail account

2- My left-shift key on my keyboard keeps sending me to a new paragraph. So whenever i need my cap letter with Shift+letter, it equals = Enter, and then on to a new paragraph.

Anyone knows what the hell is going on? With a bit of a beer buzz, this could become trouble.

    ReplyDelete
  48. @Rita I was going to post similarly... I use a window in FF and keep refreshing. It takes a lot of scrolling because it doesn't thread.

Don't know if there is a better way.

I don't have any problems with the your 2 question when I use the browser window.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I love the GGs and the SAGs for the TV shows. Not a huge movie fan but love TV.

Last year I remember being disgusted that Downton Abbey was nominated all over the place.

Watched it and now I love it. So much. But I feel like it is unfair to nominate it because it is so good.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I am a liveblog newbie in this environment. I actually have no idea where I am supposed to go or what I'm doing. Are there instructions that I have missed?

    ReplyDelete
  51. My TV picks:
Best Drama Series - Homeland. Then GOT

Actress Drama - Claire Danes. Which upsets me bc I don't want to like her. Then J Margulies

Actor Drama - Don't care about this one. Go with Buscemi. I feel like I should say Damian Lewis from Homeland but he is flat to me.

    ReplyDelete
  52. @Rita

I'm not sure why that's happening. Shift + Enter (at least on FB gives you a new paragraph). If you're using a regular keyboard, why don't you use the shift button on the right side?

It's usually the "host" who sets up the blogging, and you can post (through your gmail account).

    ReplyDelete
  53. I'm convinced CBS wanted to kill The Good Wife this year. I can't think of any other reason they would put it on after the amazing race which follows football, so it never started on time. My DVR never recorded a full show and I've just stopped watching, which is a shame because I liked it.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I love the Good Wife. It was really hard for me to have to see Grams from Dawson's Creek be such a horrible person on TGW.

Mountain time didn't have the football postponements but I did see the messages that it would be late in other markets.

    That would really annoy me.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Thanks Surfer, was wondering if gmail will work too. Betty K, beg pardon for ignorance, but what is FF... i'm stuck on FaceBook... So all i'm drawing if... F-ckFace... one f-up technology i haven'd heard of yet?

    ReplyDelete
  56. @Jasmine & @Sherry, Lana Del Ray should just quit now and save everyone the pain. The poses at the mike were just as bad as the singing. Hair flip, run hand down thigh, palm out, hair flip, hand down thigh, ad nauseam.
The HP sketch was dark and a little creepy.
Didn't like the Jay Pharoah sketch either.
Can't wait for the real Ricky tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  57. @Rita - FF = Firefox browser

    ReplyDelete
  58. Firefox.

I try not to diminish F~ck Face by initializing it ; )

    ReplyDelete
  59. I just checked to see when the GG's start hoping there is not a time conflict with Downton Abbey. The Opster will not abide by missing that for them. Whatevs, guess I will watch until that comes on. We are a one tv household in the city and don't even have one at Blanc Debris Manor.

    ReplyDelete
  60. E pregame is on.

Kelly Osbourne now has gray/blue hair. She looks like my Nana in the late 80s.

    Like Ranic's dress.

    Kotsi, whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I think Kelly's hair is supposed to lavender? Not sure but I'm not a fan. Guliana(sp) looks great.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Kelly Osbourne looks like shit.

    ReplyDelete
  63. And the Packers are losing at the moment so I'm going to be extra bitchy.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Where's Figgy and. Texshan? I guess Vinbelle and someone else who commented the other day are there at the show. LUCKY!

    ReplyDelete
  65. @chopchop YAY for the bitchiness. Boo for the Packers being down. Love GB

    ReplyDelete
  66. And HMMM. She always has excellent commentary.

    ReplyDelete
  67. @Sherry -
I think Figgy will be joining later on, same for Maja. Texshan if I remember correctly is under the weather. She'd be probably joining for the Live blog.

    ReplyDelete
  68. And HMMM. She always has excellent commentary.

    ReplyDelete
  69. So it is possible that Madonna will be presenting an award to Angie. I hope this happens!!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. I think "Himmmm" might be otherwise engaged ... like actually at the Globes LOL.

But if not, I hope he joins us!

    ReplyDelete
  71. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  72. DRINKING GAME! Every time the camera turns to Angelina's face, we do a shot!

The list will be quite exciting: Madonna, Brad Pitt presenting, then losing to Clooney, her nomination, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  73. @that works Rita - Angie gets lots of face time!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Bad job on the onside kick, Pack.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Does anyone here wrap their hair around the curling iron without burning their fingers? I have never been able to do it.

    "I'm literally mesmerized right now"

    ReplyDelete
  76. twitter update - many questions regarding the color of Kelly's hair. Very funny.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I know, Betty! I tried that and failed miserably. There's a new curling iron at Sephora that comes with a glove for you to protect that hand ... but that sounds even clumsier if that's a word. I have a hard enough time worrying about my hair, my hands, my ears, my forehead (yeah I'm Polish and uncoordinated, so what?) the last thing I need to add a glove in the equation.

    ReplyDelete
  78. @chopchop I didn't realize that I was going to find fashion validation for myself here ; )

They make it look so easy on TV. the only thing I make look easy with the curling iron is being super polite to the nurses in the ER.

    ReplyDelete
  79. @Del Riser - BTW, saw Shame over the W/E, and still no Fassbender lust! Although he was really mesmerizing, and cringe-worthy in that disturbing movie. Still, do not see the lust.

    He's all yours;)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Jessica Paster as a stylist... She looks like she dressed herself in a Speedo sarong.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I loved the stylist that E! just showed, you could tell she wanted to say "I don't have time for this shit....Elle is waiting!"

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'm from Melbourne, Australia & just spent a week in NO over Christmas, what a great place!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Every Red Carpet Kelly discusses how she cries because she has never felt so beautiful before. Then everyone agrees.

    G Ranic's dress looks itchy.

    ReplyDelete
  84. "Erte statue."

LOL! Wow, you hit that one right on the head!

    ReplyDelete
  85. ^i find Kelly looks "Evita-esque" tonight. Too bad she went bat-shit on Xtina's ass, she lost a few points there.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I cannot handle the stress of the Packer game.

    ReplyDelete
  87. ^^ I'm with you, Ms Cool.

    GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Is it because Zooey Deschanel is nominated that every commercial is her cotton commercial? That song is now completely stuck in my head.

    ReplyDelete
  89. @Laura... thinking the same.

Hope her dress is covered in cotton balls.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Been lurking since almost day one....finally going to join the gang....can't wait for the Ricky snark!

    ReplyDelete
  91. yayyy!!!! Ricky Gervais.

    ReplyDelete
  92. @Beedee - welcome! A really great time to join in.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Ryan looks a little off to me? and he you are right Betty he is a bit of an ass.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I'm avoiding the game and E for the time being. Too busy drinking and coloring my hair. What? Bad idea? PSH. I live on the edge.

Can someone tell me why we care about Kelly's opinion? I've never found her particularly fashionable. Let me rephrase that. For someone with so much access to fashion (and $$) she falls flat. If Hot Topic ever made a high end boutique, she would be their perfect spokeperson. Otherwise, I don't find her inspired at all.

    ReplyDelete
  95. @Laura He (RS) is also just a bit of a man

    ReplyDelete
  96. So true Betty....so true.

    ReplyDelete
  97. @Mother Campfire... keep in mind that may be how kelly got her current hair shade ; )

I have not idea why she gets to speak about fashion. I put up with it for Joan.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Kelly's hair makes her look like gram from dawson's creek.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Rancic dress numero Dos...
    Why?

Is it an homage to the zombie shows that are so in right now?

    Do not get it.

    ReplyDelete
  100. @beedee99 spot on with the gram comment. But more like bitchy Gram on The Good Wife rather than the nice grams on the Creek.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I wish I was drinking with you all tonight but had a wee bit much Thurs night so sprite for me. And hopefully some Five Guys (extra bacon please) after the game finishes.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I like Stacy's hair and outfit overall. Relaxed.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Kelly's hair looks like she used a Roux toner #39....an awful pinkish-grey. My question is why!?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hair of the Enty? That was days ago!

    ReplyDelete
  105. Her hair is not good. And I don't get GR dress change, I liked the first one better. It is like when you go to a wedding and the Bride goes from an amazing dress to the slutty dance dress in white.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Sarah Hyland from Modern Family looks so young!

I think she has one of the fake bobs from the earlier segment.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Holy shit, what's up GB? I love your picture btw, ChopChop.

I did a quick flip over to E! just in time to see Clooney arriving, Ryan interview Ricky, Guiliana's dress, and Kelly's weird hair.

Will be snarking here during the show?

    Now, back to football...

    ReplyDelete
  108. They don't do date nights!

    ReplyDelete
  109. BeeDee, I did the same thing! It took live blogging to get me to join in. Hope it works!
I also agree that Homeland was great and I do not want to like Clare Danes but she was great in it.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I want Claire Danes hair browner. Don't love the dress.

    Piper Pera...boat dress

    ReplyDelete
  111. ok halftime and off to e. kid going to the nuggets game tonight so wine and gg and all of you lovely peeps. and the great enty, of course. and i bet rachael zoe is puking in some bathroom even as we speak

    ReplyDelete
  112. I'm impressed GC came so early. Stacey looks good.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Jessica Chastain looks like Marg Helgenberger with that style.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Kelly's an ugly little tatooed high school drop out sychophant troll. Her commentary's worthless..

    ReplyDelete
  115. Callie Thorne deserved something for Rescue Me before Necessary Roughness. @Mother Campfire should give the rest of her color to Callie to even out those roots.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Poor George, couldn't come up with a thing for a "fun date night".

    ReplyDelete
  117. @del riser... not until Levitra

    ReplyDelete
  118. Who was that cute little girl saying she didn't have a cell phone? I think I heard her called Ariel?
*Pouring my first hillbilly vodker drank.*

    ReplyDelete
  119. So it is possible that Madonna will be presenting an award to Angie. I hope this happens!!!

She's on Modern Family... the younger Dunphee daughter. Smart on the show. Seems the same on the carpet if not a little nervous.

  121. I'm impressed GC came so early too, guess he LOVES the party!
Yes Kelly's hair is BF ugly color, but it is the best I have seen her in a dress.

    ReplyDelete
  122. @TBND Jen will be presenting to Brad of course!

    ReplyDelete
  123. Sadly I've been working so much the last 6 months I'm out of the loop for a lot of the shows. Other than Breaking Bad, True Blood, Modern family, Parks and Rec (which is so awesome) and the Office (we can't seem to let go) I don't watch anything nominated!

Wait, I did dream of Adam Levine the other night and it was yummy.

    ReplyDelete
  124. That 49ers TD was INSANE! And their player's reaction was amazing. He and the coach just crying and hugging each other!

    GO GIANTS!

    ReplyDelete
  125. @Laura I wasn't gong to drink tonight but if Jen presents to Brad I'm drinking a bottle of sparkly.

    ReplyDelete
  126. God, this is my favorite awards show. I love it that they hang at the tables and drink. And to everyone here, cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Amanda Peet's dress is heinous

    ReplyDelete
  128. Thanks Betty!
I thought so, but have only seen 2 episodes of the show which is a crying shame I know!!! I keep postponing it on DVD to catch up and I don't like jumping in. The two I watched were hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Betty, I'm with you. I'd drink a bottle if we could see that.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Ha @Rickatoo...

I was wondering how long it would take! You are on the money.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Ha! And "Ack" at SMG's dress!

    ReplyDelete
  132. When did we last see SMG with Freddie? And he was a Mr GG in the 90's......

    ReplyDelete
  133. Elle McPhereson's boobs bob and weave her down the carpet.

Sarah Michelle Gellar had an unfortunate pen leak in the car

    ReplyDelete
  134. Sara Michelle Geller in tie dye? Fire the stylist !

    ReplyDelete
  135. @Mooshki, I really love Erte statues, so it doubly pisses me off!

    ReplyDelete
  136. @Betty - Well I'm about to pop the cork in a minute but if that happened I would definitely break out the hard stuff!

    ReplyDelete
  137. Sarah Michelle Gellar's dress is fucking atrocious.

Almost as atrocious as the Packers' defense. (Yes, I'm talking to you Clay Matthews, aka Mr ChopChop-inMyDreams, aka my avatar.)

    ReplyDelete
  138. Haha @Rickatoo. Saw her arrival just as I flipped over for a few mins during halftime.

Ugh Packers. C'mon, let's get it together. Between the dropped passes and mis-tackles, I'll be lucky if I have hair left at the end of the game.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Kelly O looks like Grams from "Dawson's Creek."

Piper Perabo got her cold sore from the other day healed.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Diane Lane is gorgeous

    ReplyDelete
  141. Diane Lane looks amazing on first glance.

    ReplyDelete
  142. I don't think I like the white with Jessica's coloring - but I like the dress....I think.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Who is Paula Patton?

    ReplyDelete
  144. I thought that pic of Catherine ZJ the other day looked like Diane Lane.

    ReplyDelete
  145. What was with Piper's face? Would it have killed her to smile?

    ReplyDelete
  146. I thought the girl from Modern Family looked great ... age appropriate. (Refraining from snarking on her name since I got in trouble with that last week ....)

    ReplyDelete
  147. Jesus Nichole Richie... Your makeup looks good. We know you didn't do it.

I want to not like her but I do.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I can't get past the fact that Nicole R is such a total Bitch. She is pretty tho.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Adam Levin chewed Guilianna's ass out for asking personal questions re girlfriend. Be careful Adam you could end up persona non grata

    ReplyDelete
  150. Didn't recognize Sofia Vergara at first.

How do Kelly and Ross love the Claire Danes dress?

    ReplyDelete
  151. Nicole Richienhas new store bought titties.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Nicole Richie is full of LIES. LOL
Very good friends with Jessica my ass!

    ReplyDelete
  155. I know - would it kill you Adam to answer a softball question about songs to your gf?

    ReplyDelete
  156. Haha @chopchop re: your scolding of Mr. Chopchop! I've said it before, but I love your avatar.

    ReplyDelete
  157. @Rita, thanks for Fassbender, have not seen the movie, I may change my mind. Until then I will treat him gently.

    ReplyDelete
  158. @Laura... It very well could kill Adam if he spoke of a girlfriend if he thought it could impinge his chance at successful trolling later.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Chop, she might be...she looked almost curvy. I mean for her.

    ReplyDelete
  160. I love Piper Perabo's dress but, I'm gonna get in trouble from the feminist police for this, but she's way too flat-chested to pull it off.

    ReplyDelete
  161. @Betty - Paula Patton is in the new Mission Impossible movie and is also married to Robin Thicke.

    ReplyDelete
  162. wish stonestreet would say there are two people on this stage and one of them is gay

    ReplyDelete
  163. Thanks @Laura. Both are off my radar.

    ReplyDelete
  164. @Betty - very good point about Adam L.

    ReplyDelete
  165. and the Grateful Dead

    ReplyDelete
  166. A two year would pick that.

    ReplyDelete
  167. SMG's dress chosen by her daughter and you can tell

    ReplyDelete
  168. Letting a 2 year old pick out Sara Michelle geller's dress says a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Rooney bangless, now can we get a smile?

    ReplyDelete
  170. I don't even know how to think about SMG.

She is talking about FP but busting on him big.

Rancic hitting hard on the questions. Right on.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Hey everyone - Enty's already live!

    ReplyDelete
  172. Well did see a "little" pooch on Nicole and thought it was strange. Maybe she is PG.

    ReplyDelete
  173. SMG and Katie Holmes have the same "letting my only child pick out my clothes" syndrome.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Rooney Mara's try hard is so off putting

    ReplyDelete
  175. Rooney Bangless made me laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  176. So are we moving over to the other post? How does this work? Is my box wine tapping out???

    ReplyDelete
  177. SV is more glammed in that Pepsi commercial than on the red carpet.

    ReplyDelete
  178. how do we move there? did that get established?

    ReplyDelete
  179. I think we move comment section to enty's live blogging.

    ReplyDelete
  180. ok, i'm moving to the other thread... c u there

    ReplyDelete
  181. Holy crap! My husband took the laptop to work, I'm running from the desk top model in my bead room to the TV in another room...add Tequila sours and I'll be dead by morning.

    ReplyDelete
  182. ^ I'm gonna have to use my android phone for the main event because we only have a desktop and it's in the bedroom. Don't want to watch GG on the little TV, LOL. Hope it's not to much of a pain, but w/ our wireless it should be ok. Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  183. What is with all the pink this year? Not alot of people can wear that color and least of all redheads. Again never let a two year pick your clothes! And could Rooey Mara be more boring with Ryan? Again how do we get to the live blogging?

    ReplyDelete
  184. Zoey needs to fix her hair.

There are way too many comments to go back through. We need someone to make a 'best of'.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Shots! shots! SHOTS!

Actually, I think I'm already in trouble.

Is Michelle Williams in CRUSHED velvet??

    ReplyDelete
  186. Apologies if I double post, has been an unusally long and alcohol filled day.

I hope I make it to the actual broadcast. Please have a drink in my honour if I do not.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Frances Fisher looks sublime!

    ReplyDelete
  188. Hi all! I am catching up via Tivo but Mila Kunis reminded me of debra Messing. Maybe I've had too much wine!

    ReplyDelete
  189. So these awards are just a big joke as I see it when Madonna is carting one around.
