Dr. Snoop Dogg Gives Kris Humphries Marriage Advice

Better than Dr. Phil, plus he is high as a kite so that makes it more fun.

Wise words indeed. I plan to work that little gem into the pizza night conversation later!

Now that's sound advice! Lmao- gotta love Snoop. Don't think anyone else could've said it that way...

    "Can't make a ho a housewife"

"Let her do what she was born to do - ho"

I hope that Dr. Snoop is right now creating a white paper with his excellent relationship advice that he will submit to the AMA and other such prestigous institutions. God bless your wisdom, Dr. Snoop.

Do I smell a peace prize in his future...

does snoop use the words bitches and hoes to call women when he is performing? i thought he did. he's also married and has a daughter.

or is that ire just reserved for the likes of jay z?

your hypocrisy. good luck on your job search!

  7. Went in with an open mind and determined to take his words lightly and at face value...

and I just can't do it anymore.

Surprised I seem to be the only one that winced a few times during his schtick. It was harsh and to me he doesnt have the talent to back up his playfully misogynistic 'comedy'.

    This was shit-tastic.

  9. ^^^^^^THIS. THIS. THIS.

If he weren't talking about you-know-who, I have a feeling some of you might be a little more offended.

Fuck Snoop Dogg and his mink-lined car. He hasn't been relevant since '94.

  10. That THIS THIS THIS was meant for Jasmine, but I'll give it to Lady Chatterly, too. It's nice to know other ladies agree about this.

Well you know ladies, if he was talking about almost any other celebrity I would be bitching too, but it's KIM KARDASHIAN...come on ho's, give the dog a break. Facts is facts.

  15. This is so offensive. I'm sorry, I generally have an excellent sense of humor, but if we substituted racially-charged words for "ho" and "bitch" in this video, people would be infuriated, with good reason. I can't stand Kim Kardashian, but the perpetuation of the belief that women are either "ho"s or "wives" makes me feel ill. DISLIKE.

  19. I just wanna add one more thing, then I'll stop I swear :)

The madonna/whore dichotomy persists to this day. When women fool around too soon with guys they are dating many men treat them differently afterwards. I've definitely expereinced this myself.

This wife verses ho mentality simply perpetuates the policement of women's sexuality. period.

  20. This is TRUTH, This is WIZDOM, from the gospel of Snoop.

What did you expect? Kris H does not seem like He will be joining MENSA anytime soon.

  21. In another time she would have been called a gold digger...
I think The Snoop came pretty darn close to a factual account of the KHo...

  22. This is the man who rapped these lyrics:

Bitches ain't shit but hoes and tricks/Lick on these nuts and suck the dick/Get the fuck out after you're done/And I hop in my ride to make a quick run...

But whatever. He's dissing Kim Kardashian, so let's ignore a two-decade career based entirely on chauvinism and laud him!

It still bugs the shit out of me how so many of you use the fact that Kim was in a sex tape as a reason to hate her. Do you also hate Colin Farrell? How about Rob Lowe? Gene Simmons? All of those men have fucked people on-camera, and they're *never* labeled as whores.

Go ahead and hate her because she's a shallow idiot with zero creative talent who is famous for using her sex appeal to get ahead. That's valid. But you know what? That archetype has been around forever, and it's not going away anytime soon -- and we have misogynistic assholes like Snoop Dogg to partly thank for that.

And at least she hasn't made millions by fucking glorifying MURDER.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wonder if Kim got that on her google alerts?

  24. Jasmine, Ida, Gladys - I agree with you completely. This just made me sick, not laugh.

  28. If someone said there were two kinds of black people, the kind that deals drugs and the kind that go to college, people would get offended. This is essentially what Snoop Dogg said about women. I don't care if he's talking about the meth-addled prostitute on the corner--i'ts not right to divide a group of people into two categories with such polarities and with such an attachment to stereotypes. I didn't expect better of HIM. I expected better of Enty, though--and Enty's readers. We don't laud racists or Nazis (who are racists of a different stripe). Why would we think a misogynist was funny, even if he's judging a woman it's easy to dislike? Our judgements about people who are "whores," "sluts," "tramps," etc, is really just a societally-created way to control women's behavior. And Ida is absolutely right. Where's our judgement of Rob Lowe? Of Ray J himself? Of all the men who PARTICIPATED in these sex tapes.

OK I'm on a rant, and I'm going to end it before I completely lose it. But thank you Jasmine and Ida and Lady Chatterly for getting it.

I am sorry you are disappointed in me or any other reader finding this funny, but I'll get over it. I hope you will too.

I wish Enty would stop posting stuff like this. It's too heavy for what's supposed to be an entertainment gossip blog. And it always devolves into arguments, and saying so-and-so is disappointing, stupid, or uneduated.

Being treated to a discourse on a gossip blog? I don't know, but it doesn't seem fun.

But I imagine Enty is doing it for hits. Which is fine. I don't know. Sometimes, it seems a bit much from ALL of us.

  35. Ida, I totally agree with what you are saying except for the fact that the men you mentioned had careers based on their talent BEFORE their sex tapes. Kim's career came from the fame that her sex tape brought her. If it wasn't for the release of that staged tape we wouldn't have to be stuck with the whole bunch of no-talent Kardashians.

"I didn't expect better of HIM. I expected better of Enty, though--and Enty's readers."

    You shouldn't have, really.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ray J didn't have much of a career pre- or post- sex tape, so he's a pretty small target to hit.

I think R. Kelly's career was pretty much ruined by his sex tape, however.

Not to mention Errol Flynn - who was probably set up for a statutory rape charge by the LAPD - or Fatty Arbuckle, who was also ruined by a never-proven rape charge after an orgy in the 1920s.

And my point is: male stars can also be defined by their sexual missteps.

Rob Lowe is a bit of an outlier, but he still carries the stigma of his 1980s sex tape. It seems to be mentioned in every profile of him. True, his career is not over, but neither is Kim Kardashian's.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I thought it was funny. Snoop is a character that he plays just like any other entertainer.
Men ARE trashed for being sluts too. Look at all the GButler hate! It's all centered around his whoring.

    ReplyDelete
  39. What have black people got to do with this? Your argument is so lame that you have to play the race card?! Cheap shot. Leave us black people alone.

    ReplyDelete
  40. "If someone said there were two kinds of black people, the kind that deals drugs and the kind that go to college, people would get offended. This is essentially what Snoop Dogg said about women. I don't care if he's talking about the meth-addled prostitute on the corner--i'ts not right to divide a group of people into two categories with such polarities and with such an attachment to stereotypes."

It's not a lame argument at all. She's absolutely right. Replace another race in that paragraph if it makes you feel better: Asian, Indian, Hispanic, etc. She's talking about stereotypes, and Snoop Dogg has done a pretty terrific job propagating negative female ones.

The only women of worth -- if you can call it that -- to people like, ahem, Calvin Broadus, are women who solely exist to a) shake their booties on camera and willingly dole out fellatio whenever men demand it, and b)women who aren't as sexual but are still domestically subservient to men.

@Nutty Flavor -- honestly, don't you think the men you mentioned are way more egregious than Kim K? They DESERVED to have their careers ruined. And hell, R. Kelly's career is still going pretty strong. He gets accolades, for whatever reason.

At least Kim's tape featured two people in a complicit situation, and she never took sexual advantage of anyone.

Again: I totally get why people hate her for being an annoying, anti-intellectual, nasal-voiced, cultural wasteoid, but I don't personally think it's fair to vilify her for fucking someone on camera when TONS of other celebrities have done the same thing.

And seriously, Snoop Dogg's stoner schtick is getting really old.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Don't have much new to add, just wanted to say that I agree with those who were cringing through this short piece of shit video. And besides, it's not like Kris Humphries was being all dominant trying to "wife" her, she pushed him into it to have her multimillion dollar sponsored tv wedding.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ugh! I get so mad about stuff like this. I hate to admit this, but there's a video of me having sex on tape somewhere out there with an ex, does that make me a ho? Would it make me a ho if I capitalized on any fame/attention from sad sex tape if it came out? No! I don't like Kim K. as much as the rest ofyou but she was/is a person using what se has to get what she wants. PEOPLE do it all the time. Have we called them out? No. I could care less either way but I'm sick of her being the easy target and sick of hearing about it. At a certain point you just say "Do you and I'll do me and if its not effecting me, good for you."

    *stepping off box*

Sorry for the rant. Result of a high school rumor gone terribly wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm sorry, I agree with everyone's statements about misoyny in our society, however, this is not ANY person we're talking about. This is Kim Kardashian, who LEAKED her sex tape on purpose (fuck what she says) to get FAMOUS a la her BF at the time Paris Hilton. She is known for only going after rich Black men with money, and is willing to do anything to get them, treats them like crap (not saying the other side never did anything bad here either), and then dumps them once the next best thing comes along that can advance her career. She is, by definition, a fame whore. She uses sexual whoring to feed her slutty need for fame. So yes, if this was said about any other woman in such a situation, even someone whose known to go from relationship to relationship, I would cringe. If this was said about January Jones, or Kristen Stewart, people who I'd categorize as "out there", it would be offensive. But it's Kim K. She's a ho. Everyone knows. Snoop's hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  44. "She uses sexual whoring to feed her slutty need for fame."

    *SMH*

    Good lord.

Why isn't Kim already banging some new football player, then? Or Kayne? Diddy? Someone black, rich, and powerful? The woman is photographed constantly (and loves to take her relationships public). I don't think she'd hide a new relationship.

And even though all professional athletes are ridiculously overpaid, she still makes more than Kris Humphries, right? I thought they signed a pre-nup to protect HER assets. If anything, HE'S the gold-digger.

I don't know. I would think that if gold-digging were her main focus, she could do a LOT better. Just sayin.'

  51. A "ho" is a whore. God, I hate "Ho"...why can't a woman do want she wants with her body as long it's with another consenting adult? Why does society have to judge her. And for all those that say "well, it's about Kim K, so it's ok"...that's a very slippery slope people. Who are you to judge who is "worthy" of being called a whore or not? 54. @luckydog- im just curious- when IS it okay to defend or speak up for a group of people?

Women have been facing this ho/housewife and madonna/whore shit FOREVER.

    FACT

These binaries are set up expressly to police women's sexualities.

    FACT.

Similiarly to when Tracy Morgan went on his gay rant, this too is using the ways women are held down and marginalized in society as humor. The reason some people think it's funny is because it's true and there is some naughtiness in saying it so bluntly and comedically.

What I dont think you understand or maybe you do but dont care about is this shit still does happen- this image is something women have to conquer or live under everyday. So how do we move past it or conquer it? Well a good way to start is by eradicating the acceptance of shit like this video for starters. I am not the p.c. police by far but I do think that mainstream media has perhaps more influence than you realize and the people who chuckle at this and move on are simply quietly accepting what he says.

A handful of us here are speaking up because most likely both here and IRL we dont accept this. Call it women's lib, call it us not having fun- we are simply not allowing a video that perpetuates the continuation of women's policement as okay.
And truthfully, historically, it is the people who speak up that make change. Even if it's just a simple little post like this, even if it's just a short video clip like this, I am bothered by some of the commentors on here who dont understand why some of us would say something.

  57. @ Ida I'm pretty sure Kim was photo'd oout with Kanye a few months back. I think she's too strong minded for Diddy's liking (not being an ass this is a genuine compliment, diddy is a known control freak).
And I can't speak on why she isn't boo'd up with someone new, doesn't mean she hasn't tried. I'm not saying it's a negative thing, she for all intensive purposes can do whatever the hell she wants, but everyone knows Kim's game by now. Yes, the "bitches and hoes" got a little awkward after the 4th or 5th time Snoop said it, but he was making a funny video. It's like if all black people got pissed at the "Diddy is poison" vid. Anyone can easily look at that video and call it racist, that the comic was making fun of a successful black man during a time when you don't see as many successful black men, if the comic made the same jokes about donald trump would it be just as funny, etc. etc....I know this is kind of a random tangent but at the end of the day, diddy is still poison lol. He's a successful black man who makes money off of destroying other artists. Kim Kardashian uses her looks and sex appeal to stay relevant and get the hottest guys around. Tomato, tomatoe. Hoe, whore.

    ReplyDelete
  58. BluntzMcGee and Unknown: 1st)if one has sex on tape and makes money off it, that person is a whore? Men AND women? 2) What about men that use their sex appeal and looks to stay relevant? Is the man a whore too? Just making sure we're applying the rules equally.

    ReplyDelete
  59. @ Audrey,

Personally, I'm saying that anyone who does rediculous things to stay relevant in mainstream media, aside from their talent, is a fame whore. Kanye West, P. Diddy, Donald Trump, are all guilty of this. People like Kim K. (Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan at this point lol, Joe Francis, etc.) are even more annoying because they have no legit talent to back up their annoyingness.

Overall my original comment wasn't meant to be taken that serious lol. The video is funny. Snoop said some funny and true things lol. It's a joke, let's all laugh lol.

  60. Too funny! Go Snoop!!

  61. great perspective and interesting points from many.

can only add that people, please. when pointing out stereotypes it's best to not use them. "hispanic" is not a race. the term is used to define a commonality in the language (not to be confused w/ dialects). hispanics include 22 ethnic groups made up of many races. and yes...some that look like you, and you, and you, and you...*headdesk*

and enty, i love you, most especially b/c i know you don't post anything out of malicious or malevolent intent. if nothing else, it provides interesting sharing among the community, and this is always a good thing in my book.

  62. @Pookie --

    his·pan·ic/hiˈspanik/
    Adjective:
Of or relating to Spain or to Spanish-speaking countries, esp. those of Latin America.

    Noun:
A Spanish-speaking person living in the US, esp. one of Latin American descent.

Using the word "hispanic" is hardly a slur, in my opinion.

But whatever. My apologies if I offended anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  63. ^ida...thank you for the definition, but i never claimed anyone used it as a 'slur'.

tbh, idg your 'whatever', and idt anyone is offended by what you said. i say this kindly--it's not always about you. pls don't read into things. my post is about stereotyping, and clearing up a common misconception, that is all.

  64. everybody is so upset about calling this hoe..a hoe...but nobody is upset by his extremely liberal use of the word nigga. you guys are so full of shit. just because you dont know or have seen Kim photographed with her new prey doesnt mean she doesnt have her hooks into some new trick. im neghbors with kanye in soho. he and kim had been screwing around for YEARS and no one knew. she chooses what you know and what you are seeing and hearing about her. they were dipping off to the caribbean every week. this isnt about women lib or rights and self righteousness. no none is up in arms here when certain other women are called homewreckers etc. the cherry picking of who and what you choose to get enraged about is laugable. step down from your high horse ladies and call the spade a spade. kim is hoe.and im sure many of you have said worse about others behind closed doors. so many shiny halos in here. ridiculous.

  68. Anonymous9:23 AM

What I find sad and pathetic is a bunch of people fighting and scrapping over their determination to use the word "ho" or deem someone a slut. Why the hell does it matter to you? Oh, yeah, because using someone's sexual behavior as a means to judge them is a great way to feel superior.

Nothing more ridiculous than being just that fucking adamant about your right to demean, degrade, and verbally abuse another person. I have a feeling you already know deep down inside that it's complete bullshit or you wouldn't be so defensive about your right to continue doing so.

    ReplyDelete
  69. So you make fun of someone you don't know on facebook? I wouldn't admit to that if I were you.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Actually, I loathe the words "nigga" and "nigger" and never use the word "homewrecker". You don't know me.

    ReplyDelete
  71. @Pookie- I appreciate your comments. It does bother me that people say race when refering to Hispanic/Latino/Mexican people.

@Ida, some do people consider hispanic a slur. It depends on context, and I dont think it was your intent, however. Perhaps not the best to include in a post meant to discuss stereotyping...

I do agree, however, with your view of KK as "an annoying, anti-intellectual, nasal-voiced, cultural wasteoid"

    ReplyDelete
  72. Re: Hispanic/Latino:

There was a very interesting article in the NYT about this a couple of weeks ago:

    ReplyDelete
  73. I LOLed. Whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  74. ^Lori, et al...just chiming in to say that i agree: Ida is in no way, shape or form using a racial slur, nor have i ever known her to be remotely racist. (actually, quite the contrary. she is a huge champions of all minorities). also, i'd like to clear up w/ her that i was not accusing her of using a slur. i was not even aiming my post at her. all i was pointing out is that stating, '...the hispanic race...' is a misnomer b/c there is no such thing. it tends to fall into a generalized (usually north american) view of how hispanics are stereotyped. and well, since so many were discussing sterotypes, therein my reason for posting. many people do this. i don't believe it's intentional. while there's heavy ignorance in it, it's in part due to our media and pop culture which is all too happy to generalize and try to cubbyhole people, places and belief systems. for us to remain ignorant in it only perpetuates it.

i personally do not find the term 'hispanic' to be racist or offensive. it's a classification, and that's it. now the term 'spic', which is obviously derogatory, carries the same connotation as the N word, and that yes, that one is HIGHLY offensive. i believe historically it had to do w/ the way mexicans were treated in this country, but i can assure you that none of the other latino ethnic groups are ok w/ it either.

but again. regarding race. there is no 'hispanic race'. there are 22 countries and ethnic groups that share spain as the 'mother land', including traces of the races that came to spain. but to give you a wee example, i can promise you that a black miami cuban, and an indigenous san antonio mexican are not of the same 'race'; hence, while they are both hispanic, and both speak spanish (altho not the same dialect), they are racially (not to mention culturally!) EXTREME worlds apart.

    ReplyDelete
  75. @Pookie- I agree with you.

However, there are quite few Latinos and Chicanos that do find the word hispanic to be offensive because of the strong euro-centric associations. Latino refers more to the common nationalities and includes all races and languages. Plus, there are many Mexicans (and other Latinos) with little or no Spanish ancestry to speak of, but with a long ancestral line with roots to the indigenous people of their area or meztizaje with a stronger indigenous connection.

I'm sure most just like to be called by their name, however:)

  76. In society, Women are sluts or ho's and men are sexually active and studs and it's acceptable. Not fair, but unfortunately it's how it is. Nowadays though, women have turned it around. When a man sleeps around, I do notice that women are now calling men sluts and man-whores. I personally think it's a person's body and if they choose to sleep around, it's their choice. Just like if it's someone's sexual preference to be gay or straight. If it doesn't affect me, what do I care.

I personally can't stand Kim. I think she's talentless, cheesy and cheap, but I also think she's a brilliant business woman. She had a sex tape and became famous from it. That was luck. Someone had to be watching it for it to become famous. She's carried that over and has made the Kardashian name into a million dollars franchise. I'm not a fan, I think her show is ridiculous, but the ratings are still huge and someone is watching it. I don't understand how everyone has such hatred towards someone they don't even know. You don't have to be a fan, but hate...really? Kinda a strong word. I don't think about her enough to hate her. She's THAT insignificant.

    ReplyDelete
  77. This is why men run the world (for the most part). Leave it to woman to verbally cut each other to shreds. Where's the focus? Where most of us work for a lousy wage, Kimmy is making tons of money to simply show up. That's it. That's what annoys the hell out of all of us. We are all sick of seeing her face. The last two things in this world it's OK to go after are fat people and demeaning women. And I always find it sad how gleefully and viciously women go after one another.

And I like what Crila said. Snoop can go to hell.
