Carnival Cruise Is Offering 30% Discount For Costa Victims

I think Carnival Cruise Lines should have waited for awhile before making the announcement they did to the passengers aboard their Costa Concordia cruise. The people almost died and some of their fellow passengers did die and now it looks like all Carnival cares about is money and being greedy.

They make it seem like it is a big deal that they are going to refund the cost of the trip to everyone who sailed on the ill fated voyage. Of course you should. Don't make it seem like you are being f**king magnanimous (like that word?) about it. That is the least you can do.

Oh, and for every cruise you take on the line from now on they will give you a 30% discount. Whoo hoo. There is no truth to the rumor that you will also get a card which allows you to get off the chip before the captain and the crew in case of an emergency. The bodies have not even been all removed from the wreckage of the ship and they want the survivors to start booking new trips at 30% discount? I think what will happen is passengers are going to sue the line out of existence so they really want to kind of try to put everyone in a not litigious mood. Did you see the scenes in those photographs of passengers waiting to get on a life boat? I think they could be a little more generous.
