This is kind of a mix of old and new Hollywood. New in the sense that not everyone is dead. In fact, one is very much alive and kicking and working and is known by people of all ages. She is a performer. She is also a B list actress both in movies and in television, but has had her most recent fame come because of television acting. Our actress has had a number of marriages. One of them was extremely interesting. Her husband had an affair. I know, I know. Shocking that someone would cheat. It is with whom he cheated that is so so interesting. He cheated on our actress with her mother's husband. The mother was quite famous in her own right. Maybe even more so than the daughter.
Liza Minelli & Judy Garland
I really feel bad for these two women they just had the gayest tastes in men.
ReplyDeleteWho were the husbands involved?
ReplyDeleteLMAO Timebob!! So true and just so sad.
ReplyDeleteWow, nice going everyone, you got that one right!
ReplyDeleteHow sad for the women in this family.
they don't call if Friend of Dorothy for nuthin.
ReplyDeleteI believe you guys nailed this one too.
ReplyDeleteI never knew Judu Garland was Liza Minelli's mother! David Gest was on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here a few years ago... he was the funniest guy!
ReplyDeleteLove the reveals Enty but you forgot MV and Coke mom!
ReplyDeletePeter Allen and Mickey Deans?
ReplyDeleteDavid Gest and Sid Luft?
Mark Gero and Mark Herron?
Jack Haley Jr. and David Rose???
They both married so many fags.
Sian, you are making me feel old. Stop that. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job on this one, everybody! Both Judy and Liza were born without gaydars. Must be in their family genes.
ReplyDeleteDoes the blind imply that both men are dead?
ReplyDeleteSorry Sunnyhorse! Don't really know anything about Liza Minelli either... before my time :p
ReplyDeleteMark Herron and Peter Allen, right?
ReplyDeleteOk Sian I'm only 25 and I know Judy Garland is Liza's mother lol. So don't feel old Sunny.
ReplyDeleteI'm related to Judy Garland/Liza Minelli way down the line and I can attest that it may be in the family genes because my gaydar is relatively non-existent!
ReplyDeleteWhen did Judy die? In the 60's???
ReplyDeleteThese two put a whole new meaning to the phrase "I love the gays."
ReplyDeleteBut surely someone told both Judy and Liza that they were about to marry gay men...? I mean come ON. Like th way friends in college gently told me my bf was mos' def gay, haha. They were right, but we've been friends ever since.
ReplyDeleteWell, everyone got this right (at least as far as Liza and Judy). I agree that Judy is way more famous than Liza, and that Liza is B list. Not dissing Liza, she was awesome in Cabaret, but Judy is practically immortal.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Judy, this time last year I watched Wizard of Oz for the first time in decades, and it is the camp-iest movie I have ever seen. No wonder she's a gay icon.
@Patty: Judy died in 1969. At that time Liza was on her first marriage to Peter Allen. They married in 1967. The only gay hubby that Judy had that fits that time frame is Mark Herron.
Busted gaydar is a bitch. I spent most of my teens and early 20's chasing gay boys in a state of clueless fag hagdom. Friends even tried to tell me, but in a way I am glad for the experience. I met many glorious and beautiful gay men who never put a hand on me at a vulnerable age.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe it.
ReplyDeleteNeither Liza nor her mother, Judy Garland, can ever be considered "B-list."
Doesn't matter that Liza has not had a hit movie since Arthur.
She will always be A-list, just like mamma.
@Cheryl: That describes my high school years. Still love the boys.
ReplyDelete@Chasing Heaven: You made me laugh. Too funny.
