Arrested Development Has Started Filming
Even when Netflix announced they were going to air new episodes of Arrested Development you just felt in your heart that someone was going to snatch it all away and that we would all be disappointed once again. Well, even if it all goes away now at least there will be something on film for us to all watch. The show, with the entire original cast and writers is currently filming. As Dean Lorey wrote on his blog, "We even have parking spaces." The bad news is we still have to wait a year for new episodes. They will not begin airing until 2013.
YES!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I feel about this. On the one hand, it's Arrested Development! On the other hand, Hollywood always screws up when they try to recreate something that was so fantastic the first time. It's better to happen organically, so maybe they should just leave it alone.
ReplyDeleteThis news completely made my day! And hey, I've waited this long, so I can wait some more for AD goodness!!!
ReplyDeleteUhmazing!
ReplyDeleteHappy claps!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michael Cera for getting off your high horse. YEEAAAYYYY! I love this show. I can wait a year. Great that they got the cast AND the writers.
ReplyDeleteyea!
ReplyDeleteyay!!!! Hope it isnt as disappointing as the old AbFab reunions...
ReplyDeleteYayayayay!! In the words of Lucille 2, "how grand!"
ReplyDeleteAgree, chopchop! This is either great news, or terrible news. I guess we'll have to wait and see which it ends up being.
ReplyDeleteAgree @Chopchop. I am so emotionally invested in this show that if (and this sounds so snobby) it isn't EXACTLY as it was a few years ago, I probably won't like it. :0[ I just can't imagine that they can pop right back in with the same dynamic... hopefully they prove me wrong.
ReplyDeleteAt least we still have Parks & Rec <3
@Haley - I love that! Liza owned that show.
I hope the parking spaces can fit the stair car.
ReplyDeleteHappy happy joy joy!
ReplyDeleteI joined Netflix once again (streaming only) just last week and I'm having a blast. I don't normally watch TV, but I am loving watching shows like, "Downton Abbey" and "The Unusuals". Bring it on!
ReplyDeleteContrary to popular thought, it wasn't Michael Cera who held things up - Mitch was waiting to have a good idea and script before going ahead, so I am optimistic about this.
ReplyDeleteI shall do the Lindsay Bluth chicken dance on my way to bed tonight.
ReplyDeleteI thought this show was more improv than scripted so that is why I had reservations. Now that I realize it is not, I am excited!!!!
