It was really nice to see Val Kilmer do something, but I didn't think it was that funny. It was odd, not funny - like most of SNL these days. The best bit was Alec Baldwin.
I loved Val Kilmer in Top Secret when I was a kid, and perfer his Ice Man to Tom Cruise's Maverick any day. I love him in The Doors and Wonderland too. I don't care how difficult and crazy he is, or how rotund he gets he's still one of my all time favourites. He reminds me a little of Brando.
Val Kilmer's one of my favorites too. Had he not been in it, I wouldn't have watched. Wish he did more these days. And I agree that I preferred him to Maverick!

ReplyDeleteThat was as close to funny as Katy Perry got all night.
ReplyDeleteI really thought that Russell would of popped up in a skit. Interesting, he didn't (other then the clip showed during that awful interview bit)

ReplyDeleteKaty Perry was a dud! I do like the bit with Seth Myers and his NYC tourist guy! That stuff is gold!
ReplyDeleteI'll be your Huckleberry, Val.
ReplyDeleteGreat line in Wyatt Earp! I also loved him in The Saint with Elizabeth Shue!
ReplyDeleteReal Science and Heat, as well...
ReplyDeleteSis, everyone hated The Saint, but man, did those two have sizzling chemistry! It was so obvious they were having an affair.
