Wow, talk about moving quick. Rosie O'Donnell has never been shy about jumping into new relationships and proclaiming undying love for them, but this is super fast even by her standards. Yesterday, Rosie announced she is engaged to her girlfriend of 6 weeks, Michelle Rounds. Didn't I read somewhere before that this is Michelle's first non-heterosexual relationship? Apparently she must have fallen hard for Rosie and her love of television theme songs because Michelle said yes. I am always happy for people who fall in love and are committed to each other and hopefully they will get married and be together forever. I just don't see it though. You know what I see here? An Anne Heche/Ellen type situation.
Rosie was all happy about her on Howard Stern a few weeks ago. Are we sure this is only a 6 week relationship? I thought it was longer than that.

ReplyDeleteWith a few exceptions, it seems that women are more willing than men to dabble in lesbian relationships when they are in fact more sexually oriented toward men.
ReplyDeleteSo, that's the same thing I thought, Ellen and Anne. Another one is Melissa Etheridge who married (or in a long term relationship and had kids with) Julie Cypher, whose previous marriage was to Lou Diamond Phillips, and then went on to marry another man.
Hate to say it, but the lure of fame and major cash has to be pretty strong, too.
I wonder what happened to Rosie's marriage? I really thought her wife seemed cool, that they seemed good together. Ah well.
I don't see this ending well.

ReplyDeleteAnd on the same note as the U haul,there is that Lesbian Bed Death. All the lesbians I know do not have sex 6 months after they hook up. At least that's what they have told me. But yeah, seems like the Anne Heche/Ellen epidsode.

ReplyDeleteMy ex fiance and I were together for 5 years and had a devastating breakup...for both of us. Infidelity was not involved but I did hurt him very badly and I moved out. 6 weeks later he got engaged to someone else. Kind of made my head spin.
